Anyone remember the old contemporary arcade? Our first trip to WDW was in 1980, when we were kids. I don't remember all the details, but I remember being really amazed by that arcade -- including by its shear size. If memory serves, there was a shooting gallery in there (?)

I loved the old arcade. It was a great place. I am glad at least the new arcade still has prizes. I wish the other resort arcades did that.

Yes there was a shooting gallery AND a movie theater. Oh, and skeeball too.

I remember it well. Used to love it when we were kids. I remember they had caricature artists when you first went in. My parents still have caricatures of us kids from probably the mid 70's, maybe '76 or '77. :thumbsup2

My family stayed at the contemporary in Nov. 1984--I was about 9 years old at the time. I remember the charactures! I also remember there was a large snack bar there--like big enough that we ate several of our meals there.

It was the best! Shooting gallery, theater, snack bar... all in one place! I spent hours there as a kid!
