I'm working from home today and during lunch was just scanning what was on tv. I came across "Home Alone" and it got me thinking.

Has anyone ever forgotten anything major while at WDW? Like arriving to the parks or your hotel and forgetting park passes or AP. Or arriving to your resort, unpacking and realizing you forgot to pack underwear. Or the ultimate, getting all excited in the park after a certain ride or something and forgetting little johnny in his stroller staring at Dumbo.

Fortunately, I haven't forgotten anything major yet, but I always have the feeling I am forgetting something.

Let's hear those funny stories (funny to us of course) of when our minds took a little vacation from us and we forgot......(fill in the blank).

The Mrs and I went to WDW in May and forgot the kids...no wait, that was by design. :teeth:

My family stayed at CSR heading to River Country. My brother had the bag full of towels, sun screen and most importantly a couple of our wallets. He left the bag under the bus stop's bench. Meanwhile we went from the bus to MK, then the boat to River Country. Soon as we get there my brother decides to enlighten us on his mistake. So my mother and my other brother take the whole 30+ minute trip back to the bus stop, then come all the way back. During this time my brother recieved 3rd degree burns on his back from no sun tan lotion on his back. Fun times :rotfl:

While on one trip to WDW, DH had been carrying his and youngest DD's tickets and I had mine and oldest DD's. WELL...we arrived at MK one afternoon and DH had NO TICKETS! I only had one for me and oldest DD! Luckily, we were staying at Poly so I jumped back on the monorail and went back to grab them. (Yes, I went back instead of DH...I move a lot faster and am actually willing to run at times!) Since then, I usually have a fast pass/ticket holder on a lanyard and I carry EVERYONE's tickets! By the way, we're still married and I didn't hurt him too bad. LOL

Well, the AP thing is no problem at all.

Just show a legal picture ID at Guest Relations outside any theme-park and they will issue you a new AP in a minute or two.
(They void your old tickets at the same time.)

That's not so for a missing "little Johnny".
Guest Relations can take up to a hour to replace HIM. :goodvibes

I forgot my makeup bag. Now I wasn't worried about doing WDW without makeup but we were going on the cruise right after and they have FORMAL nights. There was no makeup available anywhere on property. We were taking Disney transfers to the ship and I couldn't very well ask the driver to stop at the local walmart......I finally called a cousin who lived about an hour away and she came and took me shopping. Thank goodness for relatives. That was our first trip to the world. Now after many trips I would know what to do and wouldn't have to bother "distant" relatives.

I guess there is a reason those lanyards sell so well. I might have to look into those.

My DW and are always running around like chickens with our heads cut off every morning saying, "Who's got the passes? Who's got photopasses? I thought you had them....I know I left them right here......" It's almost a ritual.

We are a family of DH, Me, and DDs 3 and 1.

My MIL drove us to the airport in my minivan for our last trip. She waited while we unpacked our luggage and the kids curbside, gave us hugs, and drove off. We checked our luggage and one carseat in for our flight. As we are getting on the plane my husband smacks his forehead and says, "We forgot DD1's carseat!" Yes, folks, the one that she rode in to get to the airport... we forgot to take it out of the car.

This was a problem since DD1 is a busy little thing -- she ended up crawling all over the seats (and me and DH) the entire flight. Thankfully, we called my FIL (who is divorced from MIL and who we were going to visit) and he put a carseat in his car. You know why he has a carseat? BECAUSE LAST SUMMER WE DID THE SAME THING!

2 summers in a row, same mistake. I wonder if we will forget it next year?

On our last trip, I forgot my contact case. The first night I stored them in plastic cups. (FYI, they sell cases by the sundries at the resort)

On my second cruise, I forgot shampoo and conditioner. DCL's at the time was HORRIBLE, so I horded from the hotel we stayed at before the cruise.

The worst was before our second cruise. We are standing in line to check in at the airport when I realized I had forgotten my wallet at home, which included my ID!

One afternoon we were heading to MK and I had put our passes in my shorts pocket. Some of us had marched in a Star Wars Weekends parade that morning, and we were compensated with 2 1 day park hoppers every day we marched. So when I left MGM around noon, I had the tickets in my pocket. Around 2pm, we were on a bus to MK and just as we approached the gate, I started digging for my tickets and they were no where to be found. It was then I realized that I had changed my shorts when we got back to the hotel after the parade...and my tickets were in the other shorts. So we had to go back to the room, get the tickets, and come back. DH wasn't exactly happy.... lol

A minor thing we forgot back in 2001 was some dress socks. We always choose one restaurant where we'll dress up really nice. DH brought his black suit, but forgot to pack blass dress socks...so he would have been wearing those white Hanes socks. Fortunately, the gift shop had some nice ones in stock.

HA! I forgot to pack underwear for DD for one of our trips a few years ago. I remember laying it out with the clothes to pack but when I was unpacking at the resort they weren't there. I spent a small fortune on a week's worth of Tinkerbell underwear!

When I went on my Honeymoon first marriage. My Ex forgot her birth control pills in the glove box of the car back home.

We went on a trip with our friends and one of them forgot their driver's license. She wasn't driving in FL so what would she need it for, right???This was before 2001 but security was still tight. Luckily they let her through security.

I am one who forgot Birthcontrol

My second disney baby was born 9 months later

You, sir, win the grand prize. LMAO

On one trip I didn't pack a hairdryer because the time before that we had went they had hairdryers in the rooms (we were staying at ASMo and our trip before that was ASSp). Well to my surprise they replaced the hairdryers with irons. So our first couple of days my hair was a mess  . Luckily I decided to call the front desk and see by chance if they had hairdryers and they gave me one. Now I take one with me even if a hotel says it offers hairdryers in every room.

This last October though, I did a really good one. We stayed at ASMu and I decided a couple of days into our trip that I wanted to see if we could moved to a preferred room. We did move rooms and the day of the move they told me to get all our luggage together and go on to the parks and they would move everything for us. When we returned that night everything was moved and we were settling in when I realized I had left our portable DVD player and all the movies in one of drawers of the room we moved out of :scared1: . I was scared that they had already put someone in that room and that we may never see it again. The front desk told me that night just to keep checking with them to see if housekeeping turned it in. Of course I thought it was gone for good. Well after 2 days of calling I finally got someone at the front desk who was willing to send someone to the room to check (no one had checked into that room yet). About 20 minutes after I talked to them there was a knock at the door and they found all of our stuff.

It seems like I always forget something. Maybe next year I'll remember everything. We're going twice so hopefully at least one of those times I will remember everything.

I forgot the charger for my digital camera! Luckily we'd driven so I made DH hop into the van and drive to WalMart for a replacement....course we stocked up on Disney stuff and bought a case of water while we were there!

This is sort of along the lines of OH MY GOD, I FORGOT...

We were at the airport, going through security. My dad had the tickets, and put them in that little tub with all of his stuff... not good. So he was about to go through the metal detector, when the guy asked for the tickets. He thought I had them. We looked around frantically and my dad was asked to step away... Finally, we found the tickets and flew to Disney World. :thumbsup2

The first year we went I forgot my DS whole suitcase. I realized right after my mother dropped us off at the airport. Didn't have enough time to go home and get. So we spent our first day running around looking for cloths for him. Michelle
