Why, oh why, do I feel the need to go overboard when it comes to Disney? I plan and plan and plan.....and then I buy and buy and buy all while planning! How does that happen? Aren't I supposed to wait until we actually GET to Disney before spending so much money?

Once we have the ressies all set and in place, the wheels in my head begin to spin. Hmmmm.....Mickey Gifts for the kids. See, some people do Tinkerbell gifts. But we began this whole charade when my oldest was only 18 months old. She had no idea who Tinkerbell was....but she knew the Head Mouse! Now she is four and a half years old with a 19 month old little sister. So two Mickey Gifts to plan for! Yeeeessss!!! Hubby has no idea why this thrills me so much. It's like Santa, or the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny....there's magic in it! And I get to be the magic planner....it's so much fun being the magic behind it all.

Sooooo.....before I get into the overboard part, I'll do a quick run-down of the cast members. There's me, Christy, 28 years old. There's hubby, Jonathan, 31 years old. Then there's the two little munchkins, our daughters. We'll call them Snickers and Skittles, 4 years old and 19 months old. We've been to Disney LOTS of time. I practically grew up there....I could lead you through without a map. My first time was as a small infant and I've been at least once a year, and sometimes two and three times a year, since then. DH started spending regular time there after he married me LOL! He had been there a handful of times before. We honeymooned there and have been once or twice a year since then. Then Snickers and Skittles came along and, of course, we wanted them to grow up on the magic too. So they've been going since they were wee babes. I love each stage that they've been to Disney at. They have wide eyes as babies as they look around and take in the sights and sounds. Then when they hit the toddler years everything is excitement. The characters become real to them. Then preschool age is when the princess phase begins.....they want to meet the princesses and look just like them. So that's where we are at now....one toddler age and one preschool age.

So let's begin with how I've gone overboard. Mickey Gifts are my forte. But I didnt want junk. I'm tired of junk. I'm tired of cleaning out the playroom of things that the kids have played with once or twice. I'm tired of tiny little pieces that mean nothing. So I decided to go above and beyond this trip. Absolutely NO JUNK. Only things that I'm sure they would use. At least for a while anyways LOL.

And so.....here's what I've planned.

Day 1 - Snickers - pink monkey bag filled with a pair of Marie jammies, a cars wallet for her Disney money, a Princess growing towel (when you put it in water), a plush monster, and a Princess water bottle.
Day 1 - Skittles - pink monkey bag filled with a pair of Marie jammies, a Cars water bottle, a plush monster, and a Pooh Bear growing towel

Day 2 - Snickers - Princess Halloween bucket (since it will be the day before Halloween) filled with glow necklace, Halloween socks, and Foogoo Princess sippy cup, plus a battery operated light up pumpkin
Day 2 - Skittles - Elmo Halloween bucket filled with glow necklace, Halloween socks, Elmo sippy cup, and a battery operated light up pumpkin

Day 3 - Snickers - Large stuffed dog and a Princess T-Shirt
Day 3 - Skittles - Large stuffed cat and a Princess T-shirt

Day 4 - Snickers - Princess fleece blanket (the kind that you cut and tie at all the ends, made by me), and a Marie necklace/bracelet set that I had made for her
Day 4 - Skittles - Tinkerbelle fleece blanket (made by me), and three animal figures, a tiger, giraffe, and monkey

Day 5 - Snickers - Snow White dress, wand, and hand made bows (we're going to 1900 Park Fare tonight so this is to wear to there...she'll be thrilled with this costume)
Day 5 - Skittles - Small baby doll set (she doesnt need a dress, we have a Minnie dress for her to wear to eat, she'll be much more interested in the doll set)

Day 6 - Snickers - Pink basket filled with a small aquarium with fake fish (she loves to sit stuff like this in her room), Princess stationary set, and Princess beach ball
Day 6 - Skittles - Pink basket filled with 4 Disney figures and a Princess beach ball

Day 7 - Snickers - Lots of stickers (Disney and non), a sticker book, and a flute to play
Day 7 - Skittles - Lots of stickers (Disney and non), a sticker book, and a flute to play

Day 8 - Snickers - Princess gift bag with a Princess night lamp inside (not one that plugs into the wall, but it sits on your night stand) and a Princess book to read
Day 8 - Skittles - Princess gift bag with Cars toys inside (large plastic ones made for babies) and 4 small board books to look at

WHEW!!!! Yeah, can you say OVERBOARD?????????? Hubby is soooooo gonna flip when he sees that I have an ENTIRE LARGE SUITCASE devoted to nothing but Mickey gifts. Yeah, that should go over well LOL!!! Good thing we are driving!

But I did strike some deals on this stuff. Some things I got from the dollar bin at Target, some things I got on sale at the Disney store, and then some things I payed full price for LOL!

Here's some pics of the loot....

Sooooooo.......come on, I know I'm not the only one who goes overboard!!! Next up, we'll learn how I went overboard on the planning and have some photos of the cast members!!!

It's so much fun spoiling the kids. Can't wait to read what DH had to say about going overboard.:rotfl: The next trip I have planned with my girls went from 7 to 11 days, but there's so much to do and I want to have enough time to do it.

Everything looks so fun!

Can I ask where you got the fake fishtank? My DS would love that!
