The official WORST RACE PICTURE EVER thread!

IndianRun.jpg

Wow, I wasn't ready for this shot! Am I upset b/c my DH took my picture without warning or b/c my 2-year old stole my orange! :rotfl: I had just finished a 10K at the Hocking Hills Indian Run in OH. I had fun, really, I did!

Great pictures! I plan on running (walking) my first race ever in Aug. The DL Half Marathon. I'm sure I'll have some great pictures to post then.

Here is my aunt at the first DL Half Marathon. Looks like she's having a blast!

Nice headband auntie!

She finished and saw Pluto.

Okay, I've been trying to resist because for me a bad race picture is the only picture I know. I don't have enough experience/races to have a good one accidentally slip in. I hate having my picture taken normally, so add first race(s), me being nervous, hot, and sweaty (not to mention slow) and there's really no question that the results will be hilarious.

Anyway, halfway through the 1/2, I realized those darned photographers just weren't going to ignore me, no matter how much I hoped they would. So I started playing to the camera. Yes, they wore me down. And this is one of the results:

Yeah, that was my watch I was looking at. At the time, I thought I was being funny and oh-so-clever. Now you know why I don't like having my picture taken! :lmao:

Walk like an Egyptian.

:lmao:

Oh man, this thread is great! I actually hadn't looked through it till tonight and now I'm almost crying at some of these pics! :rotfl2:

I guess I have to post one of mine. This was after last year's marathon and the photographer apparently did the old, "I'll count to three. One...two....click....click....three".

I really try not to go through life with this look on my face or "whatever the heck is going on with my stance" much of the time.

A week after the marathon, my good ole' friends at work decided we need about 20 color copies of this one floating around the office.
:sad2:

Steve

"Oooo, I'm so excited I could just pinch myself!"

;) :lmao:

Debra, that one is so cute! This thread is hysterical....gotta go find some of my own to post.

Hey, you're not to far from me. Maybe you've seen my aunt around town, she lives in Simi too!

It certainly has a small town feel around here, Princess! What's her name? You can PM me if you want.

And from the other thread it looks like you're doing the half. Good job and congrats. You'll have a blast.

Just wanted to revive this thread...for those of us (or, at least me!) that have just signed up for our first 1/2, I sure enjoy seeing these photos! They actually give me hope and inspiration.

I want to see more!

Anne

These are too funny :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think Mel wins the prize.

Vic appears to need a support group.

Steve, did you forget the nipple band aids? Looks like you have a situation:lmao:

I have many bad race pics, but none handy. I definitely have one where I'm battling a 10 yo (maybe the very same one).

Sunny

Here is the one for me. This is right at the finish of the marathon. First of all I cannot believe I am smiling. But what makes this picture so bad is look at my left leg. What happened here? Thankfully it is back to normal.

Keep em coming,
Duane

Okay, Duane, I'm so glad you posted this. I couldn't believe my eyes when I got my pictures back from my first marathon last February and saw this:

Apparently, we've got the same condition! I'm sure, though, that our legs only looked that way that one step when they took the pictures - no way my legs do that with every step of every run!

Leslie

Matt, are you wearing a helmet?:lmao:

Only one rule! If you're going to come in here to laugh at everyone elses: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: You have to post one of your own! We're all friends here...

Just goes to show even those notorious for taking great or cute pictures can end up with one as horrific as this!:

May I introduce you to Bob, my other chin! That'll teach me to sprint too hard at the end of a race... Maybe I was running so fast it created that "windtunnel" effect... Oh, and I grabbed DW's Goofy shirt instead of mine by mistake, can you tell? ;)
