The Official Who's Going in October of 2007 List!

Wow, great list!! So happy so many dis'ers will be there!!!=)

We'll be there from 9-29 - 10-7, I'm so excited!!!!

Updated again! party:Tomorrow the first DIS'er on the list arrives at WDW, which means that SlightlyGoofy is the first DIS'er to be there when the month of October starts. Congrats! party: Maggie

Just decided last night to take advantage of our annual pass and my daughter's "Fair Day" 4-day weekend. We'll be there October 2-6. I think we'll do MNSSHP on the 4th. We're staying at Shades of Green. We haven't been to WDW since November 06. Our passes will expire soon... gotta make a trip within the window of opportunity! This time, though, it's going to be a budget trip... no ADR's, no shopping (maybe a shirt?), just one splurge: Kids Night Out babysitter for my 2 year old while I take my 7 year old on some rides one morning (husband is in Iraq til December). I think we have 24 days left! Yay! I am so excited!!!

OK - I need help deciding on whether or not to do MNSSHP. My DS is 6 and DD is 10 - one wants to do it the other doesn't really care. We have 7 day park hopper passes so paying $40 for 4 park hours that we don't need is painful. We can afford it but I hate to waste it and can't decide if it's worth it. It will be DS first trip that he'll remember last time he was 8 months old but DD has been before. Any opions would be very helpful. :confused3

And if we do go is 9/30 - Sunday pm or 10/4 - Thursday the better shoice?TIA!

List updated yet again.....we are getting really close to 900 names. :scared1: Maggie

DH and I will be at BCV from 9/16 to 10/6. DH will be celebrating his birthday (the big 6-0!!) on 9/17.

DH, DD8 and I will be at POR October 17-22. It will be our first time at this resort. We upgraded from POP which we love, but couldn't get a discount so decided to upgrade and stay someplace new. DH and DD8 will be competing at the Songham Taekwondo Tournament at Disney's WW of Sports Complex.
See you all there!!1:cool1:

I am amazed at all the DISers. I wonder if I will officially see any DISers? Last time I went to WDW I didn't know what a DISer was. I was so naive! ;)

Personally, I always feel that the "parties" that Disney puts on are worth doing at least once, if you are there and it works well with your plans. I like the MNSSHP, but to me the MVMCP was better. Others will feel that exactly the opposite is true. The parade during MNSSHP was the best parade that I have seen from Disney. The fireworks just didn't do it for me. HalloWishes just can't hold up to the standard of Wishes, but Holiday Wishes at MVMCP is just as good if not just a bit better. It was neat to dress up as silly witches last year. We had fun riding the rides, but the humidity and the heat were energy robbing and made for a long night. I don't feel the need to do it again this year, but if we had kids, I am pretty sure that I would feel differently.

If I had to choose between the dates that you listed, I would have to chose the Sunday party. Sundays are less likely to be filled up with the locals, but Thursday isn't such a bad choice either. Maggie

New to boards...and 1st EVER trip to WDW with the family + grandma...we'll be POR Oct 13-19. Trying to book ressies, and make plans for when to do what.....exhausting. Great job on this thread! Anyone with past experience wanna share tips, etc. feel free to pass them on!

Punky
read many threads :surfweb:
get many ADRs - ergo ressies!
Be sure to slow down during the day so you don't wear out! Go back to resort and relax.
read the maps - ask what the group wants - plan trip
go early in the day - easier to get on the rides for a bit of time.
RELAX! WDW will still be there - many years later!
oh, buy the mugs at the resort - good $12 per cup over the trip.

We'll be there (me, DH, DS8, DS5, Mom) Staying at ASMo or off-site Oct. 25-31.
Going to MNSSHP on Oct. 28th - anyone else for that day?
Hope to have the lime green Mickey on my fashionable fanny pack. :lmao:

Hi, just wanted to update, I'm already on the list for oct 13-21 but we are now staying at POR instead of WL. My DB(edcrbnsoul) will also be at the POR.
thanks
Jeanne

Thanks for the advise! i have been scanning the threads for months! the sheer amnt of info is overwhelming! we do have a schedule...not set in stone, just to use as a guide, which i got from another lady on the boards. we do have one whole day with nothing scheduled, so we can just kick back and relax, hang out at the resort, go to DTD, whatever. I have booked lots of ADR's. got one for Whispering Canyon, thought the kids would like that. Someone else mentioned the cup also, is that the one u purchase at the resort or at the parks?

List updated......refund on it's way from AAA from applying the code for our stay.....the weekend is here.....it just doesn't get any better for about 7 more weeks. lol Maggie

Maggie,

Quick question since you are a WDW vet, what are these codes, and can you go back and apply them if you have already booked and paid for your trip? i booked mine and pd w Disney visa, and have already pd it off. thanks for the info!
Carrie

We are going October 21-27th. We had a fire in our house last year around that time so we are going to 'celebrate' at DW!

We are big fans of Halloween so we are especially looking forward to the Not So Scary Party!
