Sheryl - Are you sending Wendie & Nancy Community N.O. Blend? Thanks for trying to explain the chicory too!:goodvibes

Lori - I can't imagine you subdued, I'm really trying, just can't do it!:rotfl2: Someone had better get pics of you and the gals in boas with the blinky glasses!!!!!:lmao:

Yes Kathy, Wendie will be getting Community N.O. Blend! But Nancy has not sent me her address yet.

Oooohh Nancy, I just brewed a pot & it smells reeeaalllly gooood!!!:goodvibes

I'm sure strangers will be snapping pics of the crazies women from NOLA & thier poor embarrassed hubbies!!!

Kathy, yes, they were the Zapps chips:
The key lime ones are "special limited edition" chips. I have to say that they are kind of weird. First of all, they are green :scared: and they are also really sweet. The crawtators ones were pretty good though. I think in general I will stick to my favorite brand, Cape Cod, especially the dark russets, yum!

The sausages are chicken ones--al fresco brand roasted garlic flavored. They are pretty good.

I think tonight I am going to make the mutter paneer I planned on doing yesterday.
I tried those when they first came out down here. BLAH! I ate 3 chips and pitched the bag.... But I have leftover $1 off coupons from BzzAgent for the sausages if you want them. Good till the end of the year. We never got Al Fresco here.:confused3

I saw those pictures and had to rearrange my schedule to spend more time at EPCOT!!! We are also eating at Marrakesh...anyone ever been there?

You are a nut! We would get along great! I hope you had a nice evening with Rick!

Yup, we want pics!!!
Pictures are in the plan! Everyone complians about never meeting another DISser at the parks- I figure this way they can't miss us! And we've eaten at Merrakesh and love it. It's one of our favorites. The house wine is yumm-o! Kinda sweet like sangria.

Mutter paneer is a dish that incorporates the paneer and green peas in a creamy tomato curry sauce. It's one of my favorite indian dishes. I would say the flavor of the sauce is similar to a tikka masala, if you've had that.

All this food and wine talk has me curious...when are you guys going to be there? It's looking likely that our F+W weekend will be the first weekend of November--the 2nd-5th.

I can't wait to see pics of that dish! You'll have to post the recipe for me too! We're going in a couple of weeks on the 19th, Lori's going on the 25th. Wish we could have been there at the same time!

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I have been missing for so long but everything has been so very busy here.

Gretchen, We're all thinking & praying for y'all!

Glynis!!! Holy Moly my friend...I had the jelly in the mail today and oh my goodness......mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......Ross was eating it by the spoonfull! We had to have an afternoon snack of toast and jelly!! Thank you so very much!!

Sheryl--Thank you so much for the offer, you are to kind. I will send you a pm with the info. I better hide it from Ross, that boy takes after me and loves coffee. He gets to brew himself a cup from the Senseo once a week. I can see him now hyper as can be on Glynis' jelly and the chicory coffee.....whooo hooooo!
I am having surgery on Monday the 8th on a torn TFC in my left wrist.

Wendie, You will have to keep Ross away from this strong brew! Or he'll be acting just like Lori for sure!!!:lmao:

I saw those pictures and had to rearrange my schedule to spend more time at EPCOT!!! We are also eating at Marrakesh...anyone ever been there?

Oh my, poor Bob...I had pins in my feet when I had the double bunionectomy but the dr would not let me see since I would have passed out...I am a baby like that...

Marrakesh is yummy! We're doing a wine & food pairing there during our trip!

Bob thinks the pin is cool!! You should have seen him & the Doc when the nurse brought in that huge pin to show him! They were like boys with toys!

Morning all. Starting to get back into the cooking again. Last night was enchiladas and tonight will be sausage and peppers. DH has been laid up in bed sick for hte past couple days and today I woke up with a nasty head cold. Ugh can't win around here--at least it hit our house before we leave for WDW in 3 weeks!

Sorry you are all feeling sick! But you're right better to get it now & get it over with! And please don't stop cooking! Your vindaloo has become my standard curry sauce in our house! We love that sauce!!! :goodvibes

We tried those key lime chips & threw them out too! Yech! But we do like the spicy ones!

People will be able to see us from miles around!!!

Gretchen, I am glad to see you checking in and I am thinking about you and your family as well as praying...

Love it!!! Those came out beautifully..i really like how you integrated the pins with the actual pictures..great job :thumbsup2 Now I feel like a total slacker. We have a ton of great pics from the June trip that are just sitting on my computer, like 300 + pics! I have a bunch of nice frames i bought at WDW and a really nice photoalbum..but have i printed any pictures out yet..NOPE..I think seeing your cute display may make me get to it though..so thanks for the artistic motivation! :lmao:

Here is a photo of the sausage subs. Note that I only used red peppers, in honor of the Red Sox:
YAY for Cape Cod Chips..my fave as well, and DOUBLE YAY FOR THE RED SOX!

Never been to Marrakesh..BUT lunch at the Tangeriene cafe' was the best counter service of our trip, so if Marr. is like that..you will be very happy! :)

Last night I had class until 8 so i just made greg a tuna melt and i had a reg. tuna sandwich and i baked up some fries. How is that for gourmet. HA! I will make up for my lack of cooking on Sunday when i make a big ole' roasted chicken dinner with homemade stuffing and the works...boy i hope its not hot out sunday!
Have a great day everyone! :goodvibes

DH and I ate there on our honeymoon and we really liked it. It reminded us a little of Indian food, in that it used a lot of spices and it tasted different from anything we had before.

Tonight I am making the eggplant my mom sent home with me. We have ballet and then school pictures this afternoon, so that's something I can leave to bake in the oven while we are at the school.

You are a nut! We would get along great! I hope you had a nice evening with Rick!

That is something that I would do...I tend to be loud and over the top but why not have fun??!!!

What are kielbasa burgers? Is is just served on a roll or bun?

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Lauren- you are not over the top! You are simply exuberant :thumbsup2! I cannot wait for pics of my very extroverted friends, and I know that there will be no mistaking them for DIS'ers!

The kielbasa burgers are just kielbasa patties. They are good on the grill and we just pop them on buns.

DH has been laid up in bed sick for hte past couple days and today I woke up with a nasty head cold. Ugh can't win around here--at least it hit our house before we leave for WDW in 3 weeks!

I hope that the two of you are feeling better soon, although if you have to be under the weather it is best to get it out of the way before Disney.

Sheryl- I did not realize you were going to give me a chance to get a little piece of NO! Thank you!

Maybe we'll be seeing PICs of all of you on the DIS :thumbsup2

My DS and DDIL had lunch at the Tangerine Cafe and they also said it was the best! We don't have ADR's at Marrakesh but I hope that there are some samples I can try during the festival.

We love Tangierine Cafe too! I think it's one of WDW hidden gems for counter service. The food is always fresh & delicious!

Good morning! I am so happy this morning because I found a tailor in town who will make house calls! He came to my work this morning to measure my pants and take them with him. He'll even bring them back to my work! I love not having to go anywhere. And I can't wait to have pants that aren't duct taped up! He had a good laugh at that =)

What prompted me to call one was a new pair of lined cuffed suit pants that I couldn't figure out how to duct tape up. Decided it was time to grow up and hire a professional.

I posted about the funeral processional - no flames yet, LOL, though I did leave out the slight road rage I had in my attempt to catch up. Figured that was asking for it.

Tonight's dinner is something with ground beef. It's thawed and I have to cook it tonight. I have no idea what, as there is nothing in the house to make with it... I have to make some work returns to Target today so I may pick up something there to make.

Anyone ever use Garden Grocer? How much would you tip them for a $50.00 order? They already charge a delivery fee of $12.00. Is $6.00 bucks chinky or would $10 be more appropriate?

I think that sounds good. We did $15 ($5 added to order and $10 to delivery guy) for $120 order last year at Christmas. Delivery was only $10 then. And the guy loaded everything into the freezer and fridge. In fact I need to start planning out my menus and order for this year soon. Thanks for the reminder!

ok I had a whole long post typed up, with a chat with most all and then I hit something wrong and I lost it all..........ugh......so now I am out of time and will just say hello to all and I will post later on!!
I hope you all are having a good day!
Ross and I are off to get my grandmothers groceries, and a few things we need as well.

back later on

Well I felt cheap & ended up putting 8 bucks on the order. I should have kept it low, then if they were really good given them another tip. But last time we just had them leave it with bell services, so we didn't have to wait around in our room. I just emailed them to add a bottle of wine to our order, in case I don't get enough at the Fest!:lmao:

We are trying to decide right now if we are going to drive all the way our 1st day or stop in Lake City. Bob was able to get All Star for one night at 89 bucks! That's about 30 bucks cheaper than the Country Inn we usually book in Lake City. But that's going to mean I'll have to ready really early! :guilty:

- Glynis, as we speak, I am uploading my shadow box pics to Photobucket. As soon as they are complete I will post them here.

All of the backgrounds except the bottom one are Disney themed. I know it's hard to tell in the pics, but they are. I especially like the map. It was a part of a pirates pack :)

They look so cool!!!! Congrats on getting them done!

I LOVE GG! I think 6 is fine...I ordered yesterday for my trip...I do not know my total yet, but I tipped $20, which may be too much...The total now is $83 but I added beer and vodka and they have not been itemized yet...I just love the service and they do such a good job that I over tipped...am I making sense? Like Lori said, they come in a put everything away for you too! :thumbsup2 Great in my book! :thumbsup2

Tonight we are having Brown Sugar Chicken (it's a crock pot recipe) and Rice Pilaf. I hope it's good- it's a new one for me. I really need to plan ahead more- we are so bad at eating leftovers I need to only cook enough for one meal.

If that chicken recipe is good, please post it!!! It sounds heavenly!

Last night's eggplant pasta was really yummy! Alan, Katie, Mary and I all loved it! Jacob and Leslie were not so hot about it, so they had the leftover tater tot casserole! I think, next time, I'll only use 1 eggplant, though. It made a ton of food, and we barely made a dent in it! Luckily, Alan enjoys taking leftovers for lunch!

Tonight is parent teacher conferences, so I'm doing chicken and dumplings in the crock pot. I can have it cooking all day, and the family can eat when we get back. I'll be heading to book club tonight, so I probably won't be eating.

Beer & vodka!! A woman after my own heart! :goodvibes

If you get a minute can you tell me how tall the souvie glass is from PFTS last year? I think we are going to do the PVC tube thing. That way I can pack a couple bottles there and have it for the glasses on the way home. And I can re-use it to pack a couple at Christmas too. Don't know why I never thought of that before. Rick comes in pretty handy every now and then.:rolleyes1
