Good morning! Man was that fish tasty last night!!...I am so in love with my local fish store now! The crabmeat that they stuffed the haddock with was so light and not greasy at all..lflavorful like a crabcake too..YUM..:) They had some crazy looking salmon pinwheel florentine thing there too, i think that is next on my hit list!
WFD tonight....SUSHI!!!

You're making me very hungry, Gina!!:lmao:

Kathy, If you have a little bit of time, Becky's coconut rice would go so good with your Bahama Mama pork chops!!! But I know it's not quite as easy as your caribbean rice!

Is that recipe posted here? My Caribbean rice is Zatarain's.:rotfl:

Kathy, Page 358 Becky's Pineapple Coconut Rice! It is so yummy! I knew that the Queen had sneaky trips up her sleeve! But Zatarain's is good stuff!!!

Kathy ~ How's your DH doing? Feeling better, I hope.

I haven't watched yesterday's show yet so I may not be able to answer your question.

That crab stuffed haddock sounds wonderful! I love anything stuffed with crabmeat. The Publix I go to has salmon pinwheels that I've always wanted to try.
Oooh, sushi, yum! What kind are you having?

WFD? DS requested chili with corn chips and a salad. Well he didn't request the salad, but he's getting it anyway.

Lori -- So did Rick have crow last night? You always make me laugh.
Rick had Welch's fruit gummies and a Starkist salmon pouch for dinner last night because the chicken hadn't thawed out (and he got in at 9pm!) I had a bowl of cereal.......See? Maybe I am boring.:confused3 :lmao:

Well, I had planned on an Italian Bistro casserole recipe for tonight. It's a new recipe, and Alan and I were excited to try it. However, we found out last night that Alan is heading back up to the mine this morning. He won't be back until tomorrow afternoon. So, I don't think I'll do the experimenting with a new recipe if it's just me and the kids. maybe we'll just do the pizza meatloaf muffins. I know that Jacob would be happy with that. Since I have all the ingredients, I think that's the direction I'm heading. I'll do a green salad on the side.

What's going on back at the mine?

He's a little sore today, but has to start moving that arm - doctors orders. So when I get home from work I'm gonna make sure he's doing his exercises. Thanks for the link!!

I made the Cr0ckp0t P0rk R0ast page 18 last night and it was really g00d. And 6 hrs in the CP the meat just shreaded and was perfect.

I als0 made package P0rk gravy with it(0n the side) and used the juice fr0m the cr0ckp0t as the water f0r the gravy...gravy turned 0ut with a sweet p0rk apple taste...

than 0n the plate I mixed the meat and Veggies t0gether and p0ured s0me 0f the gravy 0n t0p and served with Apple sauce and my kids l0ved it and s0 did my picky niece.

I will make that again...thanks f0r the recipe:thumbsup2

By the way my "0" key is busted s0 am having t0 use zer0 till I can get my lap t0p fixed:rotfl:

Okay, now instead of cooking, I might just have to go get some sushi! I'll have to go buy it, never did find one of those little rolly bamboo mats!

Gina, I'm sure you're thinking of the right one! New Orleans music, horn player, Jazz it Up with Zatarain's! :goodvibes

This company really does produce some very authentic New Orleans style food in easy box mixes. (Just my own little promo here to our region's businesses.) In fact the home office is very close to me & pretty much down the street from Kathy!!!

Here's a link to the current commercials so you can check:http://www.zatarains.com/content.cfm?id=10377

Makes me drool just thinking about them.

Tonight I am making that goat cheese-zucchini-corn clafouti that I posted about yesterday. I am also making a salad with nectarines and a baguette (not making the baguette from scratch!!). DH asked for sausage subs but I said no way, because I know he is going to eat a foot long monster dog at the game tomorrow night.

Just a quick check-in today everyone. Really busy day at work and no time to really chat. So, sorry to everyone I am missing.

Kenny and the kids are having leftover Mexican stuffed shells. I'm going to a retirement party for a co-worker. No cooking for me. The party is being held at a place I've never been, so I'm hoping to get a few new appetizer ideas while I'm there.

Talk to all of you tomorrow.

Good thing I didn't start cooking dinner yet. Kyle came in from school and is out for the night already. His high school's first football game is tonight and they're tailgating. Since we have not only the Saints on TV tonight but our LSU Tigers as well, Johnny wants hot wings, sooooo he's on his way to get some.:upsidedow
