I'm afraid I don't have any advice, I am moody all of the time. But I do have a  for you. Don't be too hard on yourself, I think sometimes mood swings just happen and need to run their course, we see only the "happy go lucky" women who have stamina to burn, have spotless shining homes at all times, dress to kill, and always smile. It is not true, like the homemakers on 50's TV, they just make the rest of us feel inadequate.

Nancy, thank you for this. I really needed it. And I wanted to say thanks to Kathy and Sheryl too for the advice. I know it's just going to take a while to get the hormones regulated, but wow are those hot flashes something!

Tonight we are having take out for dinner. Tomorrow, DH and I are going away (for just one night) for our real anniversary celebration. I bought a bottle of Rosa and some chocolates to take with us. We haven't tried the Rosa yet, but after all the good reviews on this thread, I figured we couldn't go wrong.

When I got home tonight, I found the nicest surprise. The therapists went together and got Kenny and I a basket of goodies to take with us. They bought us some candles, some rose petals, massage oil, a bottle of champagne with glasses, and some chocolates. Those girls are so thoughtful.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I hope you guys have a wonderful time, you deserve it! You're gonna love that Rosa I'm sure.;)

Boy am I glad it's friday. I get 2 days of not having to answer the phone :thumbsup2. If I had to talk to one more person who decided to yell at me I think I would have blown.

It sounds like you work in a call center. So easy to yell at someone on the other end of a phone line and you cannot see their face :sad2:

You are going to have such a nice time, and I am so glad the girls got you both a romantic basket to take with you. Have a wonderful evening!

Well waiting to post until I cook is not working out for my family. DDIL called to tell me she checked for an update all day. DD said she looked for dinner news.....nothing. We had turkey burgers that I concocted along with the jello salad, baked beans, potato salad and sliced tomatoes. They were too salty....I think if I had served them on hard rolls they would have been okay but without the bread....we are going to be mainlining water tonight.
Dessert is all of the sweets we have to get rid of.

Can you stand another whiny post from me? Tomorrow Buddy and I are taking Kady and her friend to Six Flags for the day. There is a water park there so I went to find a new bathing suit. I also thought I would but a few new things, OMG! It was saaaaaad! :sad2: I did not buy any summer clothes, just one bathing suit with a short like thing for the bottom. Ladies....they call them slim suits but there was nothing slim going on today.

It would not have been so bad but we hire some guys from Jamaica and there is one older gentleman who is especially nice. Last year he told me it looked like I had a good winter, and explained that I had gotten a little "chubby" (I can't remember his wording) He told a friend of mine that he was trying to pay a very nice compliment becasue in his culture if a winter is hard and the husband is not a good provider women tend to lose weight. I guess I had an especially good winter. This year he did not say as much, but said the winter was "not hard".

Between him and the shopping spree I am feeling pretty dumpy.JUst wait until I have to get on the top of the water slide............

Yes ma'am I'm looking for you. I missed you!!!!!! If you want a good laugh search back for shovan's pics of her contractor Mario who's been working in her house. I think the pics started the early part of last week, we had a ball with that!!!!!

Welcome back! As Kathy said, you missed the "Mario Show, ". Please check in if you can, Kathy doesn't like to lose her "flock".
Aww, thanks ladies. :goodvibes

I went back and checked out Mario. You girls are so bad!

Sheryl ~ Your kitchen looks great. I didn't have time to read through the whole Mario story (basically just looked at the picture). Did he ever catch on that you were taking pictures of his butt and not just the kitchen remodel? :lmao:

WFD? Nothing exciting, grilled smoked sausage, tater tots, and broccoli.

Nancy - I feel your pain!:rotfl: I haven't bought a bathing suit this year yet because I haven't needed one, hopefully I won't have to!!

Sandy - So glad you checked Mario, I mean Shery's kitchen out!!!:rotfl2: Awesome isn't he, um I meant to say it!!

Ok Diet Coke and computer screen don't mix. Sorry for laughing  I feel your pain. I went shopping last night for new shorts, not a very pretty sight I tell you.

Nancy - there hasn't been a "hard" winter in South Carolina in my whole life. :rotfl: Bless that man's heart, if he saw me, he would think Kenny was a very good provider. :rotfl: :rotfl:

OK, OK. All this talk of bathing suits, etc. makes me want to share how I've been feeling. Since the wedding I have not gone near the treadmill or have not watched an ounce of food I've been eating, or drinking for that matter, and I feel my thighs expanding. It is not a pretty feeling. My poor thighs are rubbing together..not very comfortable either. I know, TMI, sorry. I needed to vent.

Sunday will be our day to start anew. I also have to share, we received 2 very nice wedding gifts today. One was a nice fruit assortment from an organic food place, the other was Omaha stuff!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: You guys know I love the Omaha stuff and the organic fruit is amazing. The gift was a 3 month deal....love it! I think next month is portabello ravioli with sauce...yeah!!!

Gretchen, have a woderful trip. I know you will enjoy the Rosa...enjoy the basket of goodies you received too!!!! ;)

Nancy, have fun at Six Flags. :goodvibes I had the hardest time last year to find just the right swim shorts for Hershey Park last year...

Dinner was yummy so I thought I'd come post the recipe in case no one has tried it before.

Salsa Chicken

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
16 ounce jar salsa
1 can kernel corn, drained (or a box of frozen)
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

Throw everything in the crockpot on low. Break up chicken every few hours. Serve in tortillas, or in a bowl with tortilla chips.

I think next time I'll buy a medium instead of mild jar of salsa and maybe use a little more than 16 ounces to get more liquid. We also added some shredded cheese to the tortillas and DH decided sour cream would be good on top.

Very easy, very cheap, very yummy.

Sounds good and easy!!! How long did you cook it in the crockpot? on high or low?

My crockpot runs really hot so I put it on low at around 11am - when I checked it at 5pm and it was simple to shred with my plastic mixing spoon and could have been served immediately. Instead, I shredded it really well and let it 'keep warm' until 630 when DH came home.

Tonight my trainer and her husband are coming over for dinner tonight. Laura (my trainer) had a birthday last Monday, and her husband's birthday is Monday, so I am doing a two-for-one for them.

I am making Glynis's pot roast (I've bragged about it so much to Laura about it that she requested it), carrots, mashed potatoes, and rolls. Also, a peanut butter gooey cake for dessert.

WFD at your house?

Good Morning.

I had to take a few things out of the freezer to make room for my new Omaha stuff that came in yesterday so today we will be having a mixed grill of sorts...I think I have keilbasa, steak and hot dogs out so between lunch and dinner we are set. I will be making the original Hellman's/Best Foods potato salad and probably pick up some corn from a road side stand.

Kathy (I know you have been ordering too :) ), this Omaha that we received has some different stuff in in. I will tell you how everything is...beef kabobs, chicken kabobs, bratwurst, sirloin wrapped in bacon. Yummy!

We are trying camping out tonight in a tent in the backyard. Wish us luck. I have not camped in a tent since I was a kid and A and T have never. We figured we'd try it home first so we don't get to a campground and hate it...:thumbsup2

Have a great day all!

FormrCastMbr That's my idea of camping, close to running water :thumbsup2

Dinner sides will be what ever jumps out at me at the french market and I'll build around from there.

Better get going or all the good stuff will be gone.

Please do! I got an e-mail on a big special they're running today only, but my freezer is packed!

I heard from Wendie last night - she's been having a lot going on. She asked that I let y'all know she hopes to be back on the boards today. She does need prayers for her Mom, she'll explain when she gets here.

No cooking for me today - Kyle has a game at 1:30 then my guys are taking me out for dinner since Kyle will be out of town at camp when my birthday rolls around. He boards the bus at 11:00 tonight for his week long Young Life Camp in Jasper, GA!!!!!
