No cooking for me tonight!!! My dad called and informed me that he is going to be in town and would like me to be his "date" for dinner. He's being honored by a group of businessmen, and my mom couldn't come with him. Hooray! I get to dress up, and eat a meal I didn't cook, and be away from my children for a few hours. What could be better?????

I probably will make mac and cheese with either hamburger or tuna for the kids and DH for dinner. Unless DH calls and wants something else.

Tonight's dinner will be hubby's famous chili. :hyper: He makes really good chili, and I don't have to cook, so this is a definite win-win situation!:cool1:

The Lapegna was fabulous! We had it again today for lunch, and I think there's still a couple more meals worth of it, so it's a good thing we liked it!:rotfl2:

My WalMart has a pretty good selection of WW pastas, too, just not lasagna.:confused3

I'm glad the Lapegna was a success. It sounded good! :)

Tonight we are having leftover black bean soup and cornbread.

WFD at your house?

ETA: Loved the Lapegna!! I will have to try it!

Ugh, now DH is sick--but Superman has decided to actually visit the dr. this time. But, dinner tonight, since I"m feeling great, is the lemon spaghetti Kathy posted a couple days ago--but going to broil some tilapia instead of shrimp (it was on sale at the grocery) Oh, and the greek beef stew was yummo!

:lmao: :lmao: Steph - hopefully the kids won't get it! Is the greek beef stew something new????

Tonight is taco night here!

Kathy--the stew was posted here around the same time as your lemon spaghetti. I'm at a loss right now for who posted it--but it was really yummy!
Both kids have well child checkups today, so hopefully if they are going to get sick they do it before 2:30!

Thanks, I'll look for it!

We have potluck dinner at our home group Bible study every Wednesday night. I think I may just take some garlic bread - whole grain, of course!:rotfl:

DS requested BBQ chicken, so that is what we are doing tonight. Probably just string beans with it and some yeast rolls.

Easy night for us, Ravioli with Smoked Sausage. A large green salad on the side. I don't think we'll have dessert, as the kids polished off an entire cherry pie yesterday. Enough is enough!

Lindsay, how was the shower????

As you can see I am new here, but I have been lurking for quite a while and enjoying many of the recipes from this thread. Nothing too exciting for dinner tonight, just hamburgers and chips, but my dinners are not always so dull. I look forward to joining in-you all seem like a friendly bunch!

Hi there - sj&k !! Welcome to our thread, I see you're from Georgia, home of my fave Paula Dean.:thumbsup2 I look forward to sharing recipes with you!

DH is at a business dinner tonight, so I just made myself an omelet. Last night we had fajitas and guacamole. I'm not very exciting cooking-wise this week, I'm afraid.

Lindsay, what happened to your Little House on the Prairie tag? Did Nellie steal it? :)

Welcome, sj&k. I look forward to your recipes!

Tonight we are having meatloaf (semi-Paula Deen style), smashed potatoes, and green peas. My trainer/friend Laura (the same gal I helped with the shower) is coming over to eat with us. Her husband is out of town all this week for work and I think she's lonesome, so I invited her over. When I told her what we were having, she quickly accepted!!

WFD at your house?

ETA: She said the shower was awesome and the mom-to-be ate 3 cupcakes!! :)

Also, I was naughty and the Tag Fairy messed with my tags. Hee hee :)

ETA again: something is wrong with this DIS this morning. I know my date on the first page of this thread is wrong, but I cannot change it.
(hmmm, I THINK I fixed it)

It's been a long time since I posted here!!! I'm a teacher and I've been so busy we've been living on Lean Cuisine dinners (Panini's mmm good!), take out and the like! We'll it's vacation week here so...Tuesday I made meatloaf..came out really good, last night: Tuna Noodle Casserole (yum..I could have eaten the whole tray!) and tonight I think spinach lasagne!:surfweb:

Lindsay, I was lurking on that tagfest thread the other day when tags were being given out like crazy. Was that what you're referring to? If so, I must have missed the naughty part.:confused3

No cooking for me tonight. DS is being inducted into the Nat'l Honor Society, so we'll be celebrating by having dinner out!:goodvibes
