Wow I actually love this, I thought it was going to be a minor refresh but this is great. Really love the floors and chandelier! Looks really fresh and upscale and it feels like they took care with the smaller detailsM. Mouse Mercantile Re-opens at Disney’s Grand Floridian

I don't really understand why they need three stores, but clearly it makes sense for them.. would have preferred another (more casual) bar...Wow I actually love this, I thought it was going to be a minor refresh but this is great. Technically, four… lol but I guess they all serve some purpose? Though they could have joined Sandy Cove and M. Mouse Mercantile for all intents and purposes. I would love a little cafe/bar like Le Petit Cafe at the Riviera where the Sundry shop is! Still the update is very pretty.I don't really understand why they need three stores, but clearly it makes sense for them.. would have preferred another (more casual) bar...
Maybe it’s just me but I feel like this location has less and less merchandise over the years. It’d be nice for them to have a bit more unique of a selection. It looks fabulous! I love how spacious it is and how the merchandise isn't crammed together. It's luxurious and fitting for The Grand. Makes me feel like shopping![]()
There shouldn’t be any refurbs on the VGF side. They were done recently. There is supposed to be a refurb on the GF lobby in the near future but Disney has not released any specific dates yet.Hi everyone!
We own at BLT but we just updated our reservation to stay at BGF for our first time this coming February! We got a one bedroom Lakeview room. We are super excited, and I can’t wait to dig into this thread to learn more. Are there any updates or pearls that I should know about? We are arriving February 24, and I can’t tell if there is going to be a VGF refurbishment happening then or not. Part of the reason we changed from BLT this trip is that is due for a major overhaul during that time. I’m sure it will be fabulous either way, but I was sort of hoping that there wouldn’t be any construction happening during our first stay at VGF!![]()
Awesome thank you so much!!There shouldn’t be any refurbs on the VGF side. They were done recently. There is supposed to be a refurb on the GF lobby in the near future but Disney has not released any specific dates yet.
The two times we have stayed there, it has been standard view. Still pretty nice view though.Awesome thank you so much!!
Any inside scoop of the LV 1 bedroom? Or tips of what to request? It’s our two girls (8 and 13) and my other half.
Yes, we prefer the standard view because we can usually watch the monorail go by and find that much more entertaining than a lake view. The two times we have stayed there, it has been standard view. Still pretty nice view though.
I tend to book standard view to save points since the standard views are nice, but the lake views are lovely as well. Page 1 post 3 of this thread has a map & links to some views. In the original DVC building (which is where the 1 br.s are located) all villas are numbered 1xxx, the floor your villa is located on is the second number & the actual villa location on that floor is the last 2 numbers. The elevators are very fast, & the building is compact, the lake side doesn’t get much foot traffic, so there’s no particular reason to request higher or lower floor w/ a lake view other than personal preference.Awesome thank you so much!!
