When it’s raining? Inside.
Darn, I was hoping the overhang outside would be enough protection in the rain.

I have no idea. That’s going to depend on how much rain and how much wind. But inside is temperature controlled and dry with easy access to drinks and snacks.Darn, I was hoping the overhang outside would be enough protection in the rain.

Every time I have been there a family has had many plates food and is eating. I think you may be overthinking the lounge a bit.And no one gives you strange looks if you bring an entire meal in to eat? Sounds good to me!
It’s not much like ‘Cheers’ in there where everyone knows your name & you get a “Norm!”.And no one gives you strange looks if you bring an entire meal in to eat? Sounds good to me!

I see. I am confident you will feel at ease in the lounge. It's really laid back all kinds of different things happening. People eating outside food, people sleeping, people charging phones, people scrolling phones, kids watching movies on the TV.I'm always hyper aware of "looks" since we get them so much with our son all the time (especially during mealtimes.) Definitely a "me" problem that I'm working on, but it's hard sometimes.
California 3-Day special tickets started yesterday. Reservations for today, Jan 7 and April 7 are all currently full for DL.DLand entrance lines are pretty awful. They extend almost all the way back to Downtown Disney.
It was a pleasure to meet you as well, good sir!Whew when it’s rainy out the lounge can get slammed. We have membership beyond but still had to wait about 10 mins (so no biggie) because we didn’t want to be outside. Delightful as always and got to meet @AstroBlasters !!! A total sweetheart!
Every time I stay here I am reminded how much I hate their decision to block off the circle to turn right from Fantasy tower to get to this new tower. Just put two pool gates up and give us back our free flowing Disneyland Hotel property circle.
You’ve already asked this before.I am not familiar enough with the property. Can someone show me on a map where this was exactly?
Agree! Feels weird for me when crossing pool area to pool area through the breezeway. (Pool wear, wet, as others all dining). Each gated with a better walk across would have been great..keeping that path through breezeway to our tower, public space.Every time I stay here I am reminded how much I hate their decision to block off the circle to turn right from Fantasy tower to get to this new tower. Omg yes!!Every time I stay here I am reminded how much I hate their decision to block off the circle to turn right from Fantasy tower to get to this new tower. Just put two pool gates up and give us back our free flowing Disneyland Hotel property circle.
I wish they would let us use our MagicBand+ as a room key…. that would make it less annoying.Omg yes!!
Yes they did last month when I was there.Do they still have a DVC person stationed in the Discovery Tower lobby to make room keys?
When I arrive early (which is most of the time), I go to the main lobby to ask if there's a room ready and get a key. There's always been a room ready that hasn't been assigned yet.
