Oh well. It’s not that Tiana isn’t cute. We just prefer the really old stuff. I guess for Disneyland it just seems like they should highlight the stuff made while Disney was alive. Also, our kids are all boys, so not big on Princesses. We loved the Fantasia theme.

Agree with this, some Oswald, Clarabelle and classic stuff would have been really cool and different

Has anyone stayed in a resort studio with some semblance of a view? I still havent put in my one request which I must make very carefully cuz it cannot be changed without forking over $50 to DVC Rental Store Any recommendation would be appreciated!

I wouldn’t spend $50 to put in a request especially at VDH

On that resort standard side, above the 5th floor to avoid ending up in one of the five deluxe studios on that far west end, staring at perimeter wall or neighborhood.

Perhaps as high as possible in stack XX30. Look out & dream of what Disneyland Forward will one day be. See those beauties all alone at 1030 & 1130?

The amazing thing though about a balcony…any room is a good one & those standard duo’s make that view look just fine. (have received that 3rd floor one).

So as high as possible on the south side of that VDH wing is my answer.

Im guessing these standard resort views dont have balconies?do you know how many floors there are? Thank you so much, i literally had no idea what to write except upgrade to better room if possible im so mad I didnt just go for the duo studio

Sure. Give it a chance. The floors on that side step up from 5 to 11. Can see in that picture 10 & 11 floor just one studio each. (Only balcony or patio is with the garden studios).

From floors 6-11 studios on that side go from 5 to 1 per floor. (There is a stack of two studios that face westward other side of those duo’s). They go to 12th floor but look out over the community.

Did you let maintenance know about the Murphy bed issue?

Yes, we did at checkout. It was tolerable enought that we didn't want to change rooms over or have someone come fix it. I'm sure it will get addressed before someone else uses it.

I'll report about the next one in February. We have a duo for that trip.

So for fun, I went to check the 1-bedroom availability 11 months from today at this site, since I can't search on the DVC site without direct points.

There's no 1-bedroom availability after the very beginning of August. Does that seem right or is it a glitch? I know there are very few 1 bedrooms at VDH, but you'd think there would at least be random nights in that 11 month range....right?!

Think that link is only going to give you what is available to rent, not what you can rent in that date period. If you owned at VDH today, let’s just say your current 10-11 month booking opportunities for a One Bedroom would be pretty darn good.

Yes I noticed I just put highest floor possible, South facing, ill report back with what I end up with. No preference for the theme as im not a fan of either

Same night! Just missed Mickey & Goofy together. I liked this meet location they chose this year. Tucked in & less visible.
