The Official Unwanted Shower/Wedding Gift Swap Thread

This thread was started on the idea of APrincess72 and PrincessDisneyBelle when discussing the fact that we often receive wedding and shower gifts that are not from registries and are not things that fit our taste or decorating style. We also sometimes get many items that we don't really need and would love to find someone else who may need them instead.

On this first post you will find a list of items up for swap. If the poster has posted a picture, I will also list the post number of the picture beside the item name.

As long as both parties agree that it is a fair, desirable, and equal trade, we'll take it off the list and they may swap items. Disboards will not get involved in a trade. It's between the two parties to come to a agreement.

I will offer my unwanted gift. I know the lady went to alot of work. But it matches nothing I have or will ever have.

Here's what I'lll start with:

The infamous smoothie maker! We already have a Mickey Mouse one. These are great for frozen cocktails!!

Rice cooker... it's like a small crock pot I think. I've got a big one so we don't need this:

Full / Queen size Quilt: It's really pretty but it doesn't go with our Disney themed rooms or our Marvel comics rooms... It's too grown up for us but it's very nice!

I can't even begin to tell you how many rice cooker jokes have been made in our house since we got that!!!
I think it's really just a crock pot!

aprincess72- Haha I wanted to add that DH's uncle is one of the largest Marvel/Incredible Hulk collectors in the entire world. He lives 2 streets away from us and he has an entire house full of Incredible Hulk (none to be opened or tampered with ofcourse). Ill take photos and show you sometime. Dh's best friends dad is the CEO of all Regal Cinemas so we are getting him a silver surfer statue (thats in the regal cinemas for promotion).

This is great! I actually just sold my last unwanted wedding gift on e-bay (it's only been nearly 2 years ). I was able to return most of the unwanted items - thank goodness for Target!! I sold some stuff in a garage sale last year and some of the "nicer" things on e-bay. Made a few bucks anyway

I love my Mickey smoothie maker... I make mudslides and pina coladas all the time!!! I think it's super easy to take care of. The one I have up for grabs here is essentially the same thing! It's made by the same company.

I'm a little frustrated with Target and their new return policy. They have made it difficult to return things and even those that were on our registry! We got triple some of the items on our registry too! I don't really need three identical sets of kitchen gadgets!

I don't think the rice cooker itself is strange (we considered it too, big rice fans here) it's the fact that it makes 16 cups!!!!!!!!!!!

All of you guys are totally cracking me up! I was laughing so hard about the 16 cups of rice!! Yikes! Does it come with a king-size wok to stir fry for a dozen people??

I have seen the Mickey smoother maker and other stuff at Target, in the stores...so folks may want to check there.

I have no gifts yet...still way too far off, but this thread is so great and makes me laugh! Maybe I'll find other stuff I have to trade with some of you...
