See I consider Twilight to be cheesey so . I liked the Steve Newlin comment too, that the pp mentioned, but there are other aspects that make me cringe and interupt my ability to remain absorbed in the story line. I liked how season 1 handled everything for the most part. It was a nice balance. I've seen the fae storyline handled in a more elder, mystical, powerful sense - even with a strip club being an aspect. For some reason (maybe the set up of the fae club?) it feels more circus and side show like right now via the show.

Yes, the show is unbalanced. That is the right word. There are some actors who are really great actors playing their hearts out of the parts with such realism and integrity. Their storylines are so real and believable, even within this supernatural world.

Then you have other actors who over-act, are unbelievable, and their storylines are then cheezy and unbelievable. They pull me out of the story, where I'm thinking, "WTH???" Or: "Well, that was ridiculous."

It's like there are two directors and two sets of writers. The show has such potential to be great AND funny or snarky without going overboard into unbelievable cheesiness.

Like, this is supposed to be be one of the hottest shows on TV and HBO, but the best actress they can hire to be the Faery elder is Coco, from the old Fame TV series? REALLY?????? That's the BEST they can do???

I like her! I think she is gorgeous!

I wish they would show her and Eric in their "prime" together. She looks so sweet and innocent! It would be great to see her in action as this power hungry, political climber they say is!

I like her and Eric together more than Sookie with Eric.

Not only that, it's like she's turned into a pregnant Madonna, where she can't be sexy with any of the men anymore, not even her own HUSBAND. From all the stuff you gals wrote about the books, it seems like they've veered away incredibly from any relationships Sookie was having with Bill, Eric, & Alcide.

Mary Sue is a literary criticism of a fictional character whose bad qualities are few and far between. They're often the apple of all of the male character's eye and can do no wrong. Although in this case she'd be a "Canon Sue" as the Mary Sue tends to apply to Fanfiction If you google "Mary Sue" you'll get lots of links with a breakdown of that type. The first link should be a wiki article that talks about both "Mary Sue" and "Canon Sue".

Anna isn't just pregnant, she's having twins! I imagine she got big faster than expected, and they had to punt. I didn't mind a "Sookie light" season, but a little romance somewhere would have been nice.

That said, I always enjoy this show. Good finale!

Sad about Russell !! Super glad Nora is still around!!! Pam and Lafayette get the best one liners. I have never been a fan of Eric however after last season he was starting to grow on me but the last 2 episodes have made me a huge fan of his character.

Did anyone see the bonus episode from last night with Jason mentioning Warlow and Nora asking him about how or what he knows about Warlow?

My DD coined the term "Billith" last night, which totally cracked me up. They had me there for a second, thinking they'd killed Bill, though.

And I seriously hope that Alcide can recruit a classier pack next year -- his is truly the dregs of the bayou.

I would have liked to have seem 80% of this season involving Lillith/The Authority. Cut Terry & the Smoke Monster out, Cut Andy & the Fairy Woman out (meaning, I'm not looking forward to single-dad Andy raising 4 half-fae babies, who will smell like Sookie does to the vamps in the area.)
