1988- "Live With Regis and Kathie Lee" has its first on location shoot at WDW

1995- The Disney Magic is announced as the name of the first DCL ship.
 

1932-First class at Disney Art School held on studio sound stage to train animators

1980-Grand Opening of the BTMRR at the Mk

1996-official opening of Downtown Celebration

2000-The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge open.

Sitch's Great Escape opens today!!

November 16

2004 - Stitch's Great Escape opens at MK. An opening ceremony featured Stitch teepeeing Cinderella Castle and an ultra rare, one-time-only character appearance by Cobra Bubbles!!!!!!!!!! (Gosh I wish they'd have him out more ;) ) Here are some pics of the ceremony.

1989-The Little Mermaid" is released NAtion Wide!!!!!!!!!!

1990-First day of a two day grand opening for Disney's Yacht and Beach Club

1997- Dedication Ceremony for Port Canaveral terminal USe for DCL!!!!
 
1928 - Need I remind anyone how important this day is?!?!?! ;) "Stemboat Willie" is released, which means today is the birthday of Mickey, Minnie, and Pete! :bday: party: :dancer: :jumping1:

2003 - In honor of Mickey's 75th bday, 75 celebrity-inspired statues of Mr. Mouse were unveiled in a ceremony at MK's front entrance featuring Michael Eisner, Dave Smith, Wayne Allwine & Russi Taylor (the voices of Mickey & Minnie), and MANY Disney characters. An interview w/Dave Smith was broadcast live from MK on Good Morning America.
