I just came on the thread to make me feel better, and well, that picture sure did it! If I was a few years younger I'd be hugging and kissing my monitor!

Well, on another subject, what was Taylor's audition song and is there a link to it? I just got my computer switched over yesterday and now I actually have sound and I am hunting down all I can on Taylor.

I read the AI board thread with Mr. Sandecki in it and it was great! I also found the video of him performing with Clay and I just LOVE that!! Other than Taylor winning, it was such a highlight of the finale!

I have a question - wondered if anyone else noticed....

I think somewhere along the line, closer to the end of the season, they actually did color Taylor's hair

I'm kind of busy, but I'll go back and see if I can find 2 good pictures to compare.

In the beginning, it was very dull and mousy. Now....I don't know how to describe it, but it's a very cool color. The gray kind of shines - stands out more. If it were possible, I'd even guess that they darkened the roots, but kept the gray on the end. Is that possible?

Any hairdressers have any ideas? I don't even get mine colored, so I'm no expert. But they definitely did something to it.

I had no idea his EYES were that color! They're beautiful!

Hey, ckay, his hairdresser was on AI Extra saying he used a lot of gel on his hair... gel can change the color of your hair depending on the kind you use. AND they obviously gave him the Ryan Seacrest treatment... I'm sure they enhanced the color, which does seem obvious, as long as they NEVER change it completely!

Last night, I did my needles with Taylor playing on the laptop. It worked like a charm. I REALLY hope AI doesn't take these videos down for a while. I need them.

I have seen the first audition video many, many times and I still crack up at Simon's comments.

I remember seeing him that first day and saying NO WAY is that guy under 30! He looks like he's MY AGE... I'm half a century, in case you didn't know...

I've ALWAYS had a bit of gray hair, it runs like mad in my family, but now I keep it colored. My BF is also prematurely gray and has been since he was a teenager. But I never remembered ever seeing anyone as young as Taylor with that much gray... or at least keeping it!

My hair stylist and I went back and forth about it forEVER. I totally admire the fact that he kept the gray, it made him memorable. I never forgot him, never, and was on his team from day one!

And for a guy who had been on stage so frequently, Taylor was extremely nervous. It was the next go 'round when I took notice. Took Simon just a little longer, but I'm smarter than he is.

OMG!! And Alabama is the next state over, isn't it??? Man, I'd DIE to go!! But, heck, I barely make it to things across the street!

As for Taylor being nervous, I remember reading how his Dad told him THIS was it and it was time to give up on this "dream" of his and get a REAL job. I almost see that anticipation in his face when he was on line waiting to be heard. If I was under that kind of pressure, I'D be nervous, too!

I remember when I first heard him how the part of my brain that only responds to Joe Cocker or Ray Charles' types just JUMPED! I knew this guy was not only different but GOOD!

OT, kinda, but were you rooting for Bo last year? (Just a guess ) If so, were you bummed about his first CD? I was a Bo fan and was looking forward to some good Southern Rock from him. I'm still hopeful, but was not enthused with what I heard of his first CD.

I WAS a big Bo fan, nowhere near as fanatic as I am now, and was SOOO disappointed by his first cd. To tell you the truth, I was disappointed in Fantasia's and Ruben's too!! HOPEFULLY, since he is a musician, he will hav eSOME influence and input... HOPEFULLY!!
