The 10 day forcast from Weather.com can be very confusing. I guess that I must be a pretty literal person because I don't know how a forecast can be 0% chance of something one day and 40% chance the next. To me, once it's zero, it's zero. Also check out Biv Vic's link to the accuweather forecast in post #2.
Thursday Jan 8:
Sunny - High 74; Low 48 0% chance of rain

Friday Jan 9 (5K)
Sunny- High 75; Low 49 0% chance of rain

Saturday Jan 10 (1/2)
Mostly Sunny - High 78; Low 52 0% chance of rain

Sunday Jan 11 (full)
Partly Cloudy - High 76; Low 55 0% chance of rain

To be updated daily

I did NOT just see 30 degree temps for the half. That would be my worst nightmare! I have already done my 30 degree race...I don't have enough clothes left for another one

I'm just gonna hope that cold front stalls a bit before the half. :cool2:

Come on, Mel, post your Bag Lady picture. :upsidedow

Yikes, now being Canadian I haven't a clue what Ferihight (sp) cant even spell it. Temps are but I know when I head south I like high 70s low 80s and I didn't see any of that:scared1:

It's so perfect for me!!!! I'm thrilled I hope it stays or even a bit cooler.

I am hoping its not too cold - I am not trained to run in the cold. I have crappy, baggy running pants - might have to get new tight ones (I know never do a marathon with new stuff) I think I can handle the 60s though. Looks like I will have to be getting some throw away sweats for the corrals. Guess I will be headed to Walmart this weekend - since they seem to have that stuff cheap.

I'd take those temps in a minute, but I seriously think my DW will be a no show for the 5K if it is that cold.

Oh, please... that is too cold for the half! It has to be warmer than that at the start! I have images of an asthma attack derailing my start....

With the accu forecast of:

Friday Night, Jan 9
Low: 38 °F RealFeel®: 27 °F
Partly cloudy

Means a very cold start(and most of the race). Be prepared!

Just an FYI. I got my tights at Target. And they have done great here. I ran for the first time in them for my first half with no problems. (Yes I know too no new stuff, but heck it' hadn't been in the 20's before then LOL!) They will probably make the trip. The big problem is the WISH shirt isn't long enough to cover my less then attractive REAR in them! YIKES! I guess liposuction between now and then is out of the question?

Hmm... that's interesting... My question for people who've done the marathon weekend in the past - What's the temperature like half way through or towards the end? Does it warm up really quickly or will the temperature stay relatively the same? If I bring an old sweatshirt, do I have to get rid of it before the start of the race or can I toss it to the side of the road while I'm running? I've only done long runs when it was a lot hotter out or now which is a lot colder... so I'm not really sure if I'll want to take my running jacket with me.

Mel - Love the outfit! :cutie: I went out a couple of weekends ago when it was super chilly out and looked twice as bad!

Rats! I hate the cold! Well, MIL bought me a new wicking shirt - one of those wool ones. It hasn't been cold enough here since Christmas to try it out yet.
