im still a little nervous about accepting the offer because ive never lived away from home...yea and im 21..ha..but i will end up accepting it cause its something ive been wanting to do since ive been in college.

you're not alone. i'm 23 and i've never been away from home or fam for more than a month!

I hear you. When I did my first CP, I had NEVER been away from home for more then a week. I didn't even dorm at school. But it gets better- I am now on my 2nd CP.

has anyone else had any problems when you go to print your completed application. Everytime I do it, it comes out in frames or not with all the check marks on the spaces and stuff. It's driving me crazy and I have tried printing it every which way I know how. I'm using internet explorer and everything just like it says...

You just have to put the checks on it by hand...the application has been like this for years...it's annoying, but don't worry. It's like that for everyone

Do you mean guides, as in tour guides/guest relations? It is very rare for CPs to get guest relations.

I guess that's what I meant. I was just talking with some family down there and wondering what that would fall under. I don't think I would be that comfortable with talking about WDW. DLR just fine but I have such less experience with WDW. Good to know it's a rare thing. I don't think I'll bring that up in my interview. Which I need to call and schedule still....

I would love to do Guest Relations...that's right up my alley. I love being a tour guide... It's soooo much fun. I'm not holding out for that now, but I may see about moving into a role like that after my CP....

I would love guest realtions to but I have a lot more confidence showing someone around DLR than WDW. It tears me up cause I love Cali so much I can imagine if I'm in FL for CP I'm gonna be homesick! My interview is 11a tomorrow. I have make sure no one's in my house and no one will call around then....

Guest Relations is actually a Professional Internship and even if you're in GR, you do not necessarily get to be a tour guide. You have to test into that role.

*Epcot Vacation Planner
*Hilton Head Hospitality

I'm currently applying for 3 professional internship. I have done my first interview and I'm awaiting a phone call on the second! I'm very excited to go down there permanently!

I knew that there were other aspects to Guest Relations and that there was a PI for it, but I didn't know that one had to test into being a tour guide...although, that would make sense. Thanks for the information

Kim, Good luck with the PI application process...I hear it's a bit stressful. I'm sure you'll do fine with all the work you've already done w/ Disney... I'm probably going to be at Disney for quite a while, so I look forward to meeting you! What PI's are you applying for?
