*** The Official September 2018 Thread *** let's get started to have some fun

I just placed my online order for my BoG lunch ADR! I'm getting the Croque Monsieur!

I tried, but couldn't decide. My boys aren't going to be thrilled with any of the options. I just really want them to see the place. DH and I went last year and really enjoyed it. I'm thinking 2 braised pork, and 1 French dip to share between the 4 of us.

Braised pork is what me and hubs ALWAYS get. It is super delicious!

I told my daughter she could have fries and a cupcake :sad2::rotfl2:

I can't place my order until end of next week. I can't wait to go though. I originally booked BOG breakfast for our first full day, but then I found a CRT breakfast for the same day, so managed to move BOG to a different day. It'll be awesome to kick off our vacation with breakfast in the castle princess:

We won't get our bands until we check in as they don't ship them abroad. I'm not sure wether to just wear the band or buy one of them holders for icon instead. I imagine that if I choose to wear the band, that I'd be tempted to buy one of the bands from the shop.

My kids (4 and 2) love the french dip! They don't "dip," but they like the roast beef and bread. This is unrelated, but by far the best thing I learned on my last trip: Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom has potato soup for like $3! That's one thing my kids will ALWAYS eat. My husband and I ended up hiding from a downpour in there and figured we'd eat while we waited out the storm. Randomly saw it on the menu and tried it and it's actually really good, especially when you're tired of nuggets and fries.

And we're 39 Days Away!

Oh no! I'm so sorry you guys are having to deal with all of that. I can totally relate... we've had times like that. When it rains, it pours. I'm really glad your trip is not in jeopardy though! You will enjoy it so much more after all the stress leading up to it.

Seriously! Saturday night our air conditioning broke, and of course it's like 85% humidity and 90 degrees outside. All is well, we got it fixed, but whew...I'm done with adult problems for the moment! And like you said--looking forward to enjoying the trip all that much more once we're out the other side! :)

38 days here for me! I survived our camping trip from this weekend, so now can focus on finishing everything up for our Disney trip!
I have to order DH's shirt for MNSSHP, make our hats to go with the costumes, make and order our MB decals, finalize our touring plan, and pack!

I remember when you posted that the camping trip was between then and packing. LOL!

This camping trip was an exercise in insanity. It poured the entire weekend...I was miserable, and damp.
I was so happy to come home and unpack because I knew the next time I packed it would be for Disney :)

We got home Saturday from an 8 day camping trip. I just finished catching up on laundry. 16 loads!
It is not my thing, but this is the 23rd year I have gone with my in-laws, because it is their thing, and my DH and kids love it. I am always SO HAPPY to return and take a shower without having to wear flip flops, and get into bed without having to clear it of sand first.

Flip flops to take a shower* pretty much summarizes a vacation I don't want to take but I get doing it for the kids.

Also, wearing flip flops so one doesn't step on a snake with bare feet. Just NO!

Ugh no. I have a limit of about 3 days.
The only reason we went is because we went with two other couples who wanted to go "for fun." One of the couples cheated and rented a tow behind trailer, and of course DH was brimming with jealousy. After the disaster that is tent camping, I am actually contemplating letting him buy a travel trailer now.
