** The Official September 2012 Thread **

This year was our 25th. While it's not during our trip, we honeymooned at WDW. So I did call and add it to resort and dining reservations. I told them that we had our honeymoon there and the date of our anniversary. I also told her this is our first chance since our anniversary to get back. She told me that happens all the time and it's not a problem :)

I'm not expecting to get anything, maybe just the buttons. I just like the fact that we are going to celebrate in the same place we had our honeymoon. That's exciting to me :goodvibes:thumbsup2

I would definitely call and add it. I never thought to do it when I booked. I just called and added it a few weeks ago.

Well I just called and added it! The CM was great! Thanks for everyone's advice!!
We never had a honeymoon, and this is our very first trip without kids!! We actually hadn't planned on going to WDW at all this year but decided at the last minute and we missed out on the free dining but at least we are going and solo!!! Very excited!!

First time just DH and I, First time in September, first time doing MNSSHP, soo many firsts and cannot wait!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

40 more days!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes
:dance3::dance3:

So I've been following along on the "Be Our Guest" restaurant opening anticipation thread. And since the announcement that most of the Fantasyland expansion is opening in December, some people are completely moving their trips! Anyone here contemplating that? I'll be honest, it crossed my mind, but I'd have to renew our AP, and I just got the EXACT room reservations I wanted. And it's so close I can taste it right now! Sept for me!

I think everyone has that initial, "Ooh, maybe we should go in December!" thought. But so much planning and resources have been invested into going in September that there is no way we would switch at this point. I'm excited to be going next month, and since we will be back in 2013, we'll see it soon enough. Honestly, I know I won't envy the crowds that will ensue this December (even though December is our favorite time to go)!

We wil be there in Sept too! Sept 15th thru Sept 23rd

Sat down and worked out of final plans. I am NOT an uber planner ( surprise) once we get there.. I am way more laid back than one might imagine when I am in WDW..lol.

Thursday Sept 13~ Eric and Noah go to work as normal. Eric will get out at 3 ( Noah at 3:30 and my mother will pick him up and he stays with her until they fly down). Shower and head out!

Friday Sept 14th-Drive until we hit south of Savannah GA ( the Pooler area roughly 16 hours) then make the decision on if we are stopping and if so where. We may decide to power thru and get to Orlando..either way find a place to stay and sleep!

Saturday Sept 15th- Depending on where we stopped head on over to BWI to be there between 8-10am. Check in ( we will have done Online Check in and alerted them to how early we planned to be there). If we have a wait for the room to be ready we will take the kids to the pool..if not settle the room. Spend the day exploring, enjoying and just relaxing and enjoying any entertainment on the boardwalk.

Sunday Sept 16th~ more enjoying and exploring..I want to be sure to go check out AoA .

Monday Sept 17th~ Noah and My mom will fly at 6:30 and are due to arrive at MCO at 9:25. We will check out of BWI and head over to POFQ..again we will have used online check in. Now it's either settle the 2 rooms or chill at the pool. Once my mom and Noah are here we will eat and do whatever we need to then head off to MK. We have dinner at CRT @ 6:50. If we feel up to it we will stay for MSEP and Wishes..if not back to the resort.

Tues Sept 18th~ Up and off to HS lunch @1:10 at 50's Prime Time

Wed Sept 19th ~ Up and off to Epcot dinner @5:20 at the Garden Grill

Thurs Sept 20th ~Up and off to AK. When park closes take bus to AKL for our 6:15 dinner at Boma.. then back to the resort for an "early" night.

Fri Sept 21st~ Up and out by 9..take bus to MK then monorail to GF for our @10:25 breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Then we can decide if we want to go to Epcot or MK.

Saturday Sept 22nd ~ Head off to Epcot sometime before 11:30.. lunch @1:00 at Teppan Edo. We plan to watch Illuminations this day.

Sunday Sept 23rd~ take our time then head off to AK. Head to The beach Club by 4pm for dinner @5pm at Cape May. Then grab a bus and get ourselves back to POFQ.Quiet night

Monday Sept 24th~ Head to HS eventually..stay however long we want ..no ADR's today so we can do whatever we want.

Tuesday Sept 25th~ Head MK then The Poly for breakfast at O'Hana @9:30. IF the weather is due to be nice that night we will have MNSSHP tickets..which means we will go back to POFQ and CHILL all day.. then head to the party between 4-6 that night. If the weather is gonna suck we will just head to MK or Epcot and enjoy the day.

Wed Sept 26th~ Last park day..whaa.. Magic Kingdom early.. enjoy the park..lunch at Crystal Palace @3:15 then eventually head back to the resort. Pack up as much as we can.

Thursday Sept 27 ~ My mom and Noah grab ME around 6am and fly out at 9:05. Eric and I will get the van all packed ,eat etc then head to Blizzard Beach for 10am opening. Spend the day at the waterpark then around 3 we get changed and head out. We have a 4.5 hour drive to my friends house outside Savannah GA.

Sept 28th and 29th ~ enjoy my friend and her family.

Sept 30th ~Head out from my friends around 8/9am . We have a 16 hour drive home.

Oct 1st~ arrive home somewhere around 1-3am..crash!

Oct 2nd~ Start planning next years WDW trip ( and if all went well we will have been able to book a bounceback )

I'll admit it, I'm a litte dissapointed/jealous (lol) that we won't be there for the FLE opening. However, to get over the dissapointment I have come to the following conclusions... 1) It will be rather busy. 2)There's no way I would ever get time off from work in Dec 3) It gives me a massive reason to go back and 4) September is closer :rotfl:

30 Days & Counting until we arrive at BWV for our 10 days of making memories with Mickey & friends. I find it hard to believe we are down to one month, since I must have started the countdown around the 400 day mark.

I wouldn't move my trip. I've been dying for a vacation and there is no way I could wait until December for it :rotfl:

We will be at 1900 park fare at the exact same time!!
Maybe we'll be seated near each other. If you hear someone saying Madison or Mason over and over and over again that will be me! :hyper:

We have similar dates! But I really wanted to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE your DIS name.... very jealous right now. :goodvibes
Thanks! Pooh Bear is my first love!!!! Love everything Disney but Pooh Bear holds a special spot in my heart!

Maybe we'll run into each other at one of the parks! I'll have some green Disboard tags on my bag and probably on the stroller. If you see me stop and say HI! :wave2:

dh and i are going for our 3rd trip together sept 10-14!
we're so excited!!! we went first together in '08 and got engaged :)
then went in '10 to celebrate our first anniversary (a month early, but it didn't matter....we got a stuffed lady and the tramp at tony's town square :) )
and now we're going in '12 to celebrate our last trip together as just the 2 of us....we're expecting our first child in january!
i'm so excited!
we definitely plan to take it slower this time around, do more pin trading, and see and do things that we've never done before (well, at least not together...the man has never done the carousel of progress!)

we're also going to do the mnsshp on the 11th....one of the reasons we love going in september!

only 32 more days!

Aww, that's so nice.
Congrats and good luck with the DB to be!!

39 days here!!!

So, I haven't posted in for-flipping-ever. Our trip is down to 34 days and counting. Kids are getting excited, and I'm optimizing touring plans. We are flying by the seat of our pants with no ADRs and three hour "wander around and be random" breaks built into the middle of every day. This meets our need to be spontaneous while still getting us a logical touring order every morning that will keep us from spending too much time in lines. Best of both worlds.

I still keep debating if we should try some of the Disney restaurants, but I just don't know. There are seven in our group, including 4 kids over age 10 and only one under. I just have such a hard time justifying paying $200+ for most any meal that I could cook and enjoy cooking for under $30. KWIM? DH and I will treat ourselves to a date at at a very nice seafood restaurant one night, and we can dine off-site with the kids or cook in the condo any night that we aren't staying the parks late. Any thoughts about if the park restaurants truly worth it if you are paying out of pocket with a large family?

Not sure how I missed this thread! We are going to be at por 9/16-9/30. It will be our second trip to see the mouse as a family... And I have been stalking the mailman for my Mickey mail! I have started buying the tink gifts for my kiddos and am working on somewhat coordinating outfits for photos since I bought the photo pass... Ugh I am so excited it will be a surprise for our kiddos... Hubby has been very sick for the last 3 years do we have done nothing. They are going to flip out! They think we are going to go next year.... Come on sept!!!!

Maybe it's because I don't have kids, but cooking every day doesn't sound like a vacation to me!! I understand it's a huge expense, but DBF and I really enjoy a lot of the restaurants. I know a lot of them get really bad reviews here on the DIS, but we haven't really had a bad experience. What about one nice family dinner?.

FIrst off I have to say it's a little odd how similar your trip is sounding to mine!!! :) we are a group of seven, (five kids 3 big 2 little ) the youngest is 5 and we are staying at bonnet creek starting sept 11!!! Anyway, I completely understand what you mean about spending $200 on a meal you can make yourself. We at this point are planning to do most if not all dinners at the condo, they have awesome grills there that we take advantage of, so some nights we will do burgers, steaks, and chicken . Then have a couple super easy things for nights I'm tired, Costco rotisserie chicken and Costco take n bake pizza. I normally do all the cooking at home but DH will be helping on vaca so I feel the happy vacation vibes too. Food in any of the parks is ok for us, but not enough for me to drop that kind on money and not cringe. While some may not like cooking, I actually do and dropping $200 on a so-so dinner stresses me out much more than cooking a dinner. I am leaving some nights open, that way if we do stop somewhere no biggie, we can enjoy it and not have excess food at the end of the trip. Have a great trip!!!! It's getting close now :)
