The Official September 2006 Thread...Who is Going and When

We are going to WDW and staying at the AKL from August 31 thru Sept. 4th... We went the same week last year and it was not crowded at all. That was even with the Tom Joyner Family Reunion being there at the same time. Everyone thought that would make it crazy busy, but it really wasn't bad at all...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I edited my first post in this thread to include when everyone's trip is and where we are all staying at....I'll try to update as more people add their vacation dates or if any of their information changes.

I have been going crazy trying to plan a great vacation in Sept. 2007. Worried about any crowds due to the religious holidays - but you have all quenched my fears. With 2 little ones I wanted their first experience a good one, not a push and shove match!! We like to stop and smell the flowers!

Our first Disney World trip with our daughter will be Sept. 3rd-10th and we're staying at Pop!!

Add us to the September list! We'll be staying at Pop Century Sept 10-14. I am very relieved to see all the posts saying crowds aren't so bad. This is my second trip, but dh and kids's first, and dh is very apprehensive about the crowds. He was just complaining last night that a friend of his who went (not sure when) had to wait 1 hour 20 minutes for one ride. So I'm sure he'll be glad if ride waits aren't that long!

I am right now trying to decide. I'd like to take my older kids (12 and 10) with me and I see that September is good for low crowds. I think I can stand the heat if the crowds are low. The first week of Feb is suppose to be low crowds and we just got home. Although it was heavy crowds, the parks were not light either. If we go, it will be near the end of September and it's going to be a total suprise to the kids!

It will be her first trip, but I've been several times - including the grand opening, which, unfortunately, somewhat gives away my age. As I said, be on the lookout for *a lot* of questions from me.
