I was so shocked to see Willa go. She was improving so much week to week & better than Sara, in my opinion. I was rooting for Sara to go.

I think I am the only one here that is sad to see Sara stepping down.....while I do admit that if she wanted to leave the show, she should have done it before Willa was eliminated. (I personally would never want to see Vivica back ~ but would love to see Willa back.....I just truly don't see that happening though) I really don't believe that she left because she didn't want to dance anymore and didn't want her fans to keep voting her back ~ she has had her up's and down's, but I believe she truly was having fun. Stepping into my flame suit now......I don't think Sara was the best dancer by far ~ but I don't think she was as horrible as everyone here has made her to be. I think Sara is just physically exhausted ~ I think you can see that in seeing the practice segments.....have you not seen how dark the circles are around her eyes. Many stars want to keep their personal lives personal ~ and I don't see anything wrong with not showing anything of her kids or husband on the show. I too am glad to see Sara go (although as I said she should have stepped down before elimination of another participant) just to see the bashing stop! Okay....I am stepping back out of my flame suit!

Best wishes to Sara......divorce is the most emotionally draining circumstances.

while i'm sorry for what sara is going through i am very happy she is off the show. I HOPE they would bring Willa back, but i doubt it. I think they will just make this week a non-elimination round

Since I figured/hoped it would be Sara or Jerry this week, I am not sad that Sara won't be on the show anymore. I am sad about the circumstances that made her quit. I don't know if I could have hung around, just dancing, while the rest of my life is in the turmoil of divorce so I understand her reasoning and admire her for having the guts to quit and focus on what's most important - her family.

On the other hand, PLEASE don't bring Willa back! She was rightfully voted out. I don't think I could watch any more of her or Maks. Bleh. Maks especially seems so full of himself.

My thoughts and wishes for Dancing With The Stars?

1) Eliminate the viewers voting altogether - make it strictly the judges.

Better yet:

2) Get rid of the weekly eliminations AND the viewers voting. Start the show out with all of the dancers - keep a running tally board of the judges scores and show a ranking at the end of each week. Either keep all of the dancers on the show for the entire run of the series, allowing them to improve and hone their skills - or eliminate the bottom rung dancers 3/4 into the series and then permit the remaining dancers to learn and perform 2 dances per week.

I like how they do it on So You Think You Can Dance. Audience votes for the bottom 3 pairs, then the judges cut from there. That seems more fair.

Edited-When I read what I typed it wasn't that clear. Audience votes for who they LIKE. The ones with the lowest votes are in the bottom and the judges cut from the 3 pair with the lowest votes.

THANK GOD Sara is off the show. I don't give a hoot as to why she's off (voted off vs. quitting), as long as she is gone. I hope they bring willa back, but I doubt they will. I personally think Sara should have quitted on elimination night to spare any one else from getting the boot...that is just so wrong.

Sara is no where on the same level of dance as Willa. She had to have known that seh was going to file for divorce while she was on the show. She should have eliminated herself and saved the heart break to Willa, Max and the rest of the fans.

Sara will be on the October 17th show, but that will be her last appearance.

Court documents state husband's adultery, pornography reasons for Sara Evans divorce

Sara Evans filed for divorce Thursday from her husband of 13 years, Craig Schelske, in Williamson County, alleging that he had committed adultery, verbally abused her and frequently watched pornography at home. On Thursday, Evans announced that she has dropped out of the ABC show “Dancing with the Stars” to give her family her full attention.

According to the document filed in chancery court, Schelske allegedly has on his computer at least 100 photographs of himself posing in an aroused state. There are several photographs of him having sex with other women, the filings stated.


“On his computers, husband maintains ‘Craigs Lists.’ Many of them involve requests for three party sex and anal sex. Husband’s ‘Craigs Lists’ are composed of personal ads on his personal sex engine involving him and prospective sex partners,” the documents stated.

The court document included an exhibit of nine recent “Craigs Lists’’ items stored in the temporary files of his computers.

Craigslist is an online ad service.

On Sept. 28, one of the children confronted Schelske, 43, at the couple’s Franklin home when he was watching pornography on TV, the filing stated. The couple’s children are 2, 3 and 7 years old.

Evans, 35, requested a temporary restraining order prohibiting Schelske from physically and verbally abusing her, exposing their three young children to pornographic materials of any kind, consuming alcoholic beverages to excess in front of Evans or the children, and taking their children to Oregon, which would interfere with her temporary and pending custody.

“Wife further alleges that husband has told wife that he is taking the children to Oregon and continually interferes with wife’s possession of and parenting time with the parties’ minor children,” stated the document.

The document alleged that Schelske frequently threatened Evans and “told her that she is crazy.” It also claimed he verbally and emotionally abused and harassed Evans.

Evans filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences, inappropriate marital conduct and adultery.

"There's nothing else she could do under the circumstances," said Evans' attorney, John Hollins Sr.

Evans requested she be designated the primary residential parent and custodian of the children and that Schelske receive “reasonable residential parenting time” with their children.

She requested exclusive possession of their home and “reasonable child support.”

No court date has been set.
Late Thursday, her representatives released the following statement:
"Recent events that shed light on the status of her marriage prompted Ms. Evans to make the filing.
The statement continued, "A mother of three, Ms. Evans felt it was in her children's best interest that she also withdraw from competition on Dancing with the Stars, an ABC television series that she has been part of this fall, to give her family her full attention at this difficult time. Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who've supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events."

OMG, now I REALLY feel sorry for poor Sara. Here is a MSNBC article from this afternoon. It sounds like her husband is a major slimeball and there was a "crisis" this week when her oldest child ( a girl I believe) for porno pictures of her FATHER on the computer. There were also pics of him having sex with other women. ICK!

Access Hollywood has obtained the scandalous sexual divorce documents of Sara Evans from her husband, Craig Schelske. The pending divorce has lead to her withdrawal from the popular ABC show, “Dancing With The Stars.”

When news broke late Thursday night that country singer Sara Evans had quit “Dancing With the Stars” for personal reasons, it left many fans scratching their heads.

Soon thereafter, it was announced that Evans was walking away from the popular reality show on the same day she filed for divorce from husband Craig Schelske, as first reported by the Tennessean newspaper.

A rep for Sara Evans released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“On Thursday, October 12, 2006 country music singer-songwriter Sara Evans filed for divorce from her husband Craig Schelske. Recent events that shed light on the status of her marriage prompted Ms. Evans to make the filing, which was registered today (October 12) with a court in Tennessee, where Evans resides. A mother of three, Ms. Evans felt it was in her children’s best interest that she also withdraw from competition on Dancing with the Stars, an ABC television series that she has been part of this fall, to give her family her full attention at this difficult time.

Ms. Evans hopes that her fans and TV viewers who’ve supported her in recent weeks and throughout her music career will respect and understand her need for privacy in the face of these recent events.”

The couple has been married since 1993. They have three children (ages 7, 3 and 2).

However, what separates Evans’ divorce from your typical Hollywood split are the sordid details contained within the divorce papers filed by the country singer — the accusations could be considered shocking.

While the ground for divorce cited in the documents are “irreconcilable differences,” “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery,” the details behind the accusations are graphic, explicit and disturbing.

Among the claims made by Evans in the filed documents are:

Evans alleges that Schelske “has frequently verbally abused, emotionally abused and harassed Wife.”
Evans alleges that Schelske “frequently watches pornography” on the family’s computers and that on September 28, 2006, the couple’s oldest child “confronted [Schelske] at the parties’ residence… when he was watching pornographic material on the television.”
Evans claims that Schelske keeps more than 100 photos of Schelske “posing with his erect *****” and “there are several photographs showing the defendant having sex with other women.”
Evans also alleges that Schelske browsed personal ads on the Internet site Craig’s List for “three party sex” and “anal sex.”

According to a statement from Evans’ lawyer sent to Access Hollywood, “Sara felt she had no choice but to do what she did.”

Access Hollywood has not been able to contact Schelske or a representative for comment. Schleske, a Republican, had an unsuccessful bid for Congress in 2002 from Oregon’s 5th District.

I guess we were watching different shows ~ Sara was one of several that had to wipe tears from their face as they said goodbye to Willa. I was sad to see Willa get the boot this week, I agree with another poster that the judges scores should count for more than they do so it is not a *popularity* contest. I think Jerry is more than ready for it to be his turn to leave. I absolutely love watching Emmitt ~ but it really creeped me out to see the *bone cruncher* crunching on his bones ~ especially when it came to his neck....OUCH!

SYTYCD is for real dancers. DWTS is for entertainment. I personally HATE the first show and love the second. If the audience was taken out then it would be based on something MOST people cannot relate to.

Face it, it's a PR show. These people are on because it boosts their names and makes them mega celebrities to a bigger audience than they usually would have. It has done wonders for the former dancers and B and C celebs of all kinds are ringing their spin doctors phones off the hook to get them on this show.

Like American Idol if the fans are involved they tune in. They get almost obsessed with THEIR person and it makes them feel a part of it. If I had to base what I thought on THOSE hideous judges, well, I wouldn't watch.

I agree, her face was full of anger and pain, all in one. I just interpreted it wrong, I guess. Now that I know her situation, her smile may have been masking a lot of angst that she couldn't show in public.
