The Official Riviera Owners & Info Thread

Thank you very much. I appreciate your help. I thought that was the case. I have always had such great luck submitting through touringplans. Actually, I don't use them for anything else but looking/requesting rooms. Maybe I'll just renew today.

I would LOVE to see the skyliner since not something I can see every day but I believe that is preferred view but being near it would be nice. I do not mind walking.

Thank you. I wonder if I didn't put in a request if I would get a low floor and if I asked to wait for another room, if they would say nothing available. hhhmmmm, I wonder if I should roll the dice.
I never thought of not requesting a room LOL
I arrvied the two weeks ago at 10:00 am and I had my room by 10:45 when I asked the CM to note I'd take the first available.....I was on the 9th floor, 8969 and had a wonderful view.

So, I haven't found that asking for the first one ready has ever resulted in always getting a low floor. I stay a lot and honestly, have only had a 3rd floor room a few times...most have been 4th and higher!!

But, as I said, views are not important enough to us to request....we like having our rooms as early as possible so if it meant a roof view, we'd be fine with that!!

Thank you.
Yes, I use touringplans too but my subscription just ran out and I wasn't sure if I can still use the request form without a paid subscription.

Email me and I'll extend your sub so you can get that request in: len at touringplans

Overall, we've had a nice time at Riviera this past week, but there have been several times when the Wi-Fi sucked. Well, to be more technical, it looked like the Wi-Fi was fine, but its internet connection was very unresponsive at times, even when using the MDE app. There were times I turned off Wi-Fi and used cellular data just to get things done. Usually it was working well, but with enough glitches to be annoying at times. And it wasn't just in one place; sometimes in our room, sometimes in the lobby, etc.

One nice thing that I hadn't noticed previously, but maybe I never traveled at this time before. When taking a bus towards Disney Springs in the morning between 9-10am, it makes a stop at Typhoon Lagoon first instead of taking you to Disney Springs and then having you transfer to a different bus to TL. Later in the day, it seems like it goes directly to Disney Springs.

I want that sweatshirt. I hope it's still there when I go in a couple of weeks. The last two trips I've hardly brought home any souvenirs.

Anything new food-wise?

The last one is the jacket I bought recently! I have an AUL one already and love it because it's so soft. I think they really knocked it out of the park with this set. I'm waiting for my friend to buy the rest of the stuff I want with a CM discount LOL.

Not RIV specific but they also had this blanket I couldn't help buying

Not that I noticed... The desserts at petit Cafe switch out a lot I think, so I couldn't tell you if anything was actually new or just not available when we were last here.

I alllllmost bought the gray-blue hoodie jacket and you're right, it's very soft. Kind of long on me- practically down to my thighs!

There is also a Riviera blanket I think I missed in my photos, will try to snap a pic later.
