This definitely does not sounds like a Disney response - where is everyone emailing? I never get off the cuff comments like this with anything I have emailed to Disney.

The problem is that, and MANY of us have experienced this any numbers of times, is that you rarely get a straight answer from Disney. And they ALL can be considered "official." The signs say one thing, CMs (and not just the "little people" who work the cash registers) say another. This is not only regarding Mugs, but other Disney policies as well.
But this mug discussion will never come to a satisfactory conclusion.
