Thanks for the add DenaRox!

Definitely my pleasure :)

I have added the link to the HalloweenTime super thread #4 to the first page. It is without a doubt the place to be for all things DL Halloween!!!!

I am really thinking of ordering some stuff online as well as a bit of stuff from Von's and having it delivered to the BWPPI for my arrival. If they will do that and hold it securely it would make my life oh so much easier :)

I am so excited about this thread. I am taking my nephew, checking in to GCH on October 7 and leaving on the 12th. We live in Orlando so we are AP holders at WDW and it will be my first trip to DL. I am a crazy planner so it is killing me that I can't make ADR's yet. We are planning to go to MHP and see WOC and one of the DL tours, if any one has any suggestions on which one that would be great. My nephew will be 7 so something kid friendly would be fun. I look forward to seeing other peoples plans and suggestions.

I'll be there at the same time, so exciting to plan a Disney trip! My research thus far on tours has narrowed me down to 3: 1) walk in Walt's footsteps (you get to go inside his apartment on mainstreet & ride several rides, and lunch is included) 2) happy haunts. A Halloween themed evening tour. I'm also considering the welcome to Disneyland tour because it comes with tix for vip alladin show viewing and 6 fastpasses with no specified return time (at least that is what the tour lady told me). Hope that helps! I'm sure the veterans around here can add much more info!

We will be there Oct 13-17, hopefully staying for the first time at DL Hotel!

Sounds like a lot of fun!

If you are interested in a tour, and are already planning on attending a Halloween Party, you might want to consider the "Ultimate Experience", which is the "Happiest Haunts Tour", and "Halloween Party" combined.

The tour begins about 3:15(on a scheduled Halloween Party day), and is about 3 hours long. You begin in Disneyland, hop over to DCA, and end back up in Disneyland, where the Halloween Party is just beginning!

The last time we did it, the cost was about $140.00 per person(less $28.00 per AP holder).

I remember a few thought it was a bit cheesy, but we personally, enjoyed it and just had fun with it!:)

Thanks, Dena, for adding the link to the new Superthread! I am also going to be adding a link to this October check in thread in the Dates post, when I add in the other info for that specific post as well!

Since I have been preparing tons of information for the Halloween Time at DLR Superthread and had these links handy anyway :thumbsup2...

Welcome Mouse Fanatic and Newsiemj, so glad to have you join. I have added your travel info to the check-in post on first page :)

Sherry,
The super thread is seriously amazing and I can not wait to see all that you have planned and have been working on for so long and so hard. It is exactly the thing that people like me, who love to plan and be in the know beforehand, need to feel complete in their vacation planning process!!!! Thank you so much for all you do!!

I too plan to take part in a tour but already have my mind made up, just waiting for the time to come to be able to book it lol. We are going to do the ultimate Experience that Cheshirecatty was explaining. Best of both worlds :) and then hopefully, depending on actual party times, we would like to do the MHP a second time as well but will have to see about that once dates are released. Waiting can be soooooooo painful lol

We will be there October 9 - 13 and staying at Paradise Pier. We cant wait. We are very excited. It will be my first time at Disneyland.

Welcome!! I have added your info to the check-in!I feel your excitement, my 1st time too!!! :yay: Luckily there are so many really wonderful people to plan with, talk to and just enjoy all things Disney :)

Getting exciiited! I think I've pretty much narrowed down the parts of my trip that need to be planned (like tours and my Blue Bayou dinner)! Now they just need to officially book the MHP dates! 146 days to go!

Here's what I've got so far:
Day 1 (Mon) Welcome to Disneyland tour in am, dinner at blue bayou, rest of day free

Day 2 (assuming MHP is Tuesday)
Walt's footsteps tour, then Ultimate Halloween Experience tour/party

Days 3 4 & 5 free to do whatever I please. I just know that I must ride POTC several times, since it's my fave!

How is everyone's planning going? Is anyone else planning their days already? Any restaurants I absolutely should not miss?

Thank you so much. The time can't come quick enough for us.

Thanks for the add. It has been fun reading all of the forums and building my Disneyland vocab and knowledge!

Here are my tentative plans and I want your opinions! Family of 5, me, DH, DD6, DS4, DD2. Planning on 3 day, non hopper.

Monday, October 6- Drive into Anaheim, check into HOJO maybe swim. Character Dinner?
Tuesday, October 7- DCA, no MHP (not ready to pay extra and sure kids will be worn out)
Wednesday, October 8- DL
Thursday, October 9- MM at DL
Friday, October 10- Character breakfast?, LA zoo (we have our local annual pass and can get in for cheap)

I am trying to avoid EMH each of the days, but in doing so will only get to use our MM on the last day. Is this a bad idea?

Also, I want to do a character meal either Monday night or Friday morning at Goofy's Kitchen. I plan on doing photopass+ and won't have my card until Tuesday, so would it be better to plan on the meal on Friday?

Thanks!!

The "Frequently Asked Questions About Mickey's Halloween Party" are now up in post 3 of the Halloween Time at DLR Superthread!:cool1: You can find them HERE!

If you have never attended the MHP, the 30 questions and answers in the FAQ/MHP post should give you most of the info you need to know. (I say "most" because someone will inevitably come up with a question that wasn't covered...but a lot of territory was covered!)

So, I'm turning 45 on October 24, and it's been quite a year for me. Got a new job, started a successful blog and had my first short story published. I've always wanted to go to Disney, and never have been able to, so I've decided to go on my birthday this year. DLR is closer to me than WDW, so I'm going there.

I'm going to fly in on Wednesday night, October 22, and spend the 23rd, 24th, and 25th there.

I'm not sure on hotel; I'm thinking of splurging on concierge at DLH.

I want to go on the happiest haunts tour on the 23rd, and have a nice dinner at Blue Bayou and the MHP on my birthday (Friday). I'm also considering WOC or the dessert package at Fantasmic.

I'm thinking I'll spend most of my time at Disneyland, but do DCA on Saturday.

Any advice would be welcome!
