The **OFFICIAL** October 2006 Who's Who (and Who's going)

Will the MNSSHP be fun for an 11-year-old boy? It sure sounds like it would be, and maybe some of the characters would even be more "cool" to him all dressed up for Halloween. OK, it sure sounds like fun to me anyway. Thanks!

I took a 12 year old to MNSSHP in 2004 and she had a BLAST!!! Have no fear about the 11 year old!! He will have a great time!!

We didn't get ALL decked out...we just wore hats for our costume, but we all had fun anyway!

Just booked us at ASMu for Sept.30-Oct.7 We're hoping to do MNSSHP on Oct.1.

This is only our second trip. On our first trip 3 years ago, we did everything wrong. We didn't plan anything & it was a mess, so hopefully this time around I'll be more prepared.

Hi Dawnywog! We are hoping to be able to make a trip around the same time as you and I was thinking of going to MNSSHP on Oct 1 also. Do you think they will have MNSSHP that night? I was going by the UG, but I'm not sure how definite that is.

I hope you have a great trip! This board has helped me so much with planning all our trips. :thumbsup2

What a cool thing to have a birthday at Disney!! Don't be sad...40 is Fun!!!

It just means you'll be old enough to know better and young enough to do it again!!!

5DisneyNuts- I'm going by the UG too, hopefully they're right. If not, we're hoping there is one MNSSHP during our dates that's not on a Friday or Saturday. For now, we're going to assume the 1st and make early dinner reservations at CP for that night as soon as our 180 day mark comes up in another week and a half.

My family thinks I nuts with this planning. They've blocked our last trip out of their minds, I think. When I ask them, "Okay, what about dinner at Boma on Tuesday Oct. 3?" they just roll their eye and shake their heads at me.

Hi! Saw you over on the Maelstromers...is a fastpass?!?! list :thumbsup2 and used the link in your siggy to get here.

I'm on the first page of this thread with dates of 10/4 - 10/9, but things have changed a bit. It will now and forever be 10/3 -10/9 at POR with MNSSHHP on 10/5.

Thanks!

:lmao:
Glad to hear I'm not the only one! It is so much fun though isn't it?
We have to make our definite decision on whether or not we are going - my 180 days is coming up pretty soon!
Hopefully we will be there with you on the 1st. Happy planning! :wizard:

Please add me...Our family of 7 (57, 36, 36, 17, 13, 6 & 3) will be going from October 28 until 11 and staying at the Pop Century Resort. We plan to take the kids to the MNSSHP but unsure of what day. I thought about October 31, but then thought it may be elbow to elbow crowded, so rethinking the date. Thank you and have a great vacation!~

You can go ahead and remove me, we decided not to go afterall, we have a couple of things we really need to do, and the October Disney trip got cut in favor of them.

I would love to be added to the list! We will be staying at POR from October 21-28th. Anyone else staying at POR during that time??

Really sorry to hear that Tabrizia! Will pray that plans change for the better for you.

You can add me to the list for October. The only problem is we are waiting for the MNSSHP dates to be released before we set our plans in motion.

You can add us Sep30-Oct 7 at ASMo!!
Yeah
MNSSHP- I know you need to buy a ticket but do you need to use a regular park ticket too? (In 2004 we went but we went to MK during day and party at nite)
THanks

The party itself does not require a ticket for park admission, only the party ticket. However, this limits when you can enter. In the past, Disney has allowed party guests to enter as early as 4 p.m. on just their party ticket. I have read that it is an "unofficial" position, however, and they could move the admission time if they choose to do so.

Hi!!
I want to be added to the list please :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

We will be CSR 10/27-11/3 and are planning on MNSSHP 10/29

So far it doesn't look like anyone will be staying at CSR when we are......hmmmm, maybe we'll have the place all to ourselves :rotfl2:

BTW GeorgiaAristocat I'm a Georgia girl as well!! Are you and your family planning on driving down?We will be driving for the first time this year (trying to save some $$$) and I am picking the brains of fellow Georgians who drive to WDW :teeth:

Lots of boys - I'm adding you to the list right after this post. But, first things first . . .
YES we're driving. See, from NW GA you have to drive THROUGH Atlanta to get to Florida. I, on the other hand, would have to drive north INTO Atlanta to catch a plane. Tempting . . . but, no! I avoid Atlanta at almost all costs (I am making an exception for the Aquarium in a few weeks!)

First bit of advice about driving. The speed trips around Cordele and Valdosta REALLY DO EXIST! Don't tempt fate - just slow down. Otherwise, the trip is pretty easy. And it is SOOOO nice to have the car at the world and have the option. We only used the car to go to the outlet mall last year, but this year, it might get used more with the kiddos, stroller, and all the other junk that goes with them, and for them, etc.

Oh, and GO DAWGS! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Please add us; family of four (first time to take the kids with us & I can't wait to see their faces) ages me DW 36, DH 38, DD 4 & DS 6 (turning 7 while we are there). We will be staying at the POP Oct 11 and transfer to the WL for the 12th - 23rd.

Thankyou GeorgiaAristocat !!!

We are thinking of leaving home the Thursday night before our arrival day and stopping in Cordele.I found a nice Hampton Inn on the map ;)
That way, Friday morning we can sleep in a bit, get up for free bfast and hit the road fresh with half the trip already behind us :thumbsup2

Anyway--I'm excited to be a part of this group!

And we're excited that you decided to join us!

Regarding speed traps - I forgot to mention Byron, Tifton, and Adel also. Someone else will have to clue us in to the hotspots in Florida!
