Okay, mommies! I am a bad, bad girl! I swore I was going to try to stay off the DIS (and a few other boards) this week since my mom, stepdad, and brothers are definitely coming Saturday and I have soooo much cleaning, baking, etc. I need to do before then! But I was waiting on an email from my best friend to see how her nursing exams went (she did great btw!) and what time to meet her Sunday and I thought, 'hmmm, I will just take a peek at the new moms thread' and dang it now here I am! I really am going to try not to get on here after this though, really, lol!

Anyway, justhat, I LOVE your Christmas card! It is very good and your tree looks nice too!

SL~ I can't believe Lucas is already nearly 20 lbs. But then I thought Kylie would be there soon too but she is still 18 lbs and has been the exact same weight for nearly 2 months now. But she outgrew her infant carrier in height a while back (she's a tall girl) so we still had to go to the convertible size. We have a Graco Comfortsport one. It rearfaces up to 30 lbs and then of course front faces up to I think 40 lbs. It cost $99 at Toys R Us and we really like it and so does Kylie. She is so much happier in it than she was the infant one b/c now she can look out the windows easier and she is a very visual, nosey child! Oh, and have fun at your party!

Tamie~ Have fun at your party too!

nucpharm29~ Glad your heater is working now! Dh works for a gas company so this is the busiest time for him to work. He didn't get home till after 9:30 Friday night. He used to deal with heaters and appliances and things like that but now he delivers gas mostly. They are a small company though so they usually come when they say they will.

Gems~ Very nice pics!

Vald~ Have fun at your sorority party!

Jill~ We just had to deal with the constipation issue with Kylie for the first time last week. Poor thing was having trouble "going" and then when she did they were hard stools. Looked painful! :guilty: Other than that she was her usual happy, charming self! I called her pediatric clinic and they told me to put 1 tsp of DARK (it has to be dark, not light) Karo syrup in every 4 oz of formula she drinks for 1 day (they said not to do it more than a day). Well, it worked like a charm!

Well, I wasn't going to buy Christmas gifts this year for anyone except the kids but my mom got dh and me something (and of course Kylie but we expected that) even though she said she wasn't so now I feel like we'd better get her something too. And dh's mom always gives us $100 each (even Kylie will get that this year, but it's going in her savings!) and 1 gift each! She even does a stocking for the kids at her house and said she bought new stockings this year. She bought 3 that are the same for my 2 nephews and for my nephew-on-the-way and bought Kylie her own special unique stocking since she is the only girl. So of course we have to get her something too! And we will have to get dh's grandmother something too then. SOOO so much for not buying for anyone except the kids. I am thinking of doing gift baskets for my ILs and my family. A nice big gift basket for my family to share and one for my ILs to share. Not sure what to get dh's grandmother yet...she is sooo hard to shop for. She doesn't want anything to decorate the house and gave everything anyone gave her back last year so we will have it if she dies. :confused3 We have no use for it so my mom said she'd take it. She is picky about clothes, books, etc. Really a PITA to shop for actually so I don't know what to get her as of yet...but I'll think of something. So add gift shopping (and I thought I was done!) to my list of things to do this week!

Oh, and we never did get any snow either! Of course I never really expected to! They call for it every year and we rarely see it! It is very warm outside today!

Well, I really am going to try to stay off of here the rest of the week. I need to go shopping for gifts, shopping for all the food I need, clean my house top to bottom, finish putting the last of my Christmas decorations up, and of course take care of Kylie at the same time. Multi-tasking mom, here I come!

Hi mommies. Trying to post some of the Christmas pictures we took last night.

Ok, I am getting it to work somehow. Both posting these and taking them has been the biggest pain in the bum. Neither kid would cooperate and DH was grumpy from the drive home. Oh well, now I am grumpy. Poor kids, they can't do anything right today (and neither can I. )

Justhat- I think your tree is great & your family is darling! Don't apologize!!!

Joats- I know what you mean about the holidays; it's hard when you feel like there's no time to just decompress & breathe. :grouphug:

Jill- You crazy girl?! You'll get thru it, I know it. I agree with the hm idea- I used to be so fru-fru about parties (AKA Martha wannabe). Now I'm the Queen of Costco heat & serve or premade trays of food. It's tasty, it's a bargain, & everyone loves it. Get thyself to Costco or the like! Love the pic of your girls & JP. Glad he's gaining well. :cheer2:

lissawynn- anyone good on the Gauntlet? Haven't watched much RW/RR in a couple years, but I love these Gauntlet shows to see some of the oldtimers (I loved it when the youngins thought Cyrus was 'old' at 34 :rotfl2: ).

Gems- more great pics!!! Thanks for sharing.

I need another carseat myself & am thinking a britax, but would like to buy something in the $120-150 range (I know they're $250)...any other suggestions would be great! I have a $120 gift card to TRU though...I'm debating to buy a carseat or use it for a diaper fund. I don't NEED another seat, but when DH comes home he should probably have one too....although we don't have to deal with daycare anymore....I dunno. :confused3

DisneyPhD- GREAT pics! Everyone looks super! Love the girls' dresses!

nucpharm- so glad your heat is fixed. I know what you mean about the cost of repairs- once a baby sock got caught in the motor of our washer- 20 minutes later it was fixed & $100 went bye-bye out of my checkbook.

Hi everyone! I am so tired today. We went to Storybookland on Sunday. Aidan loved it. He looked at all the lights and he loved Santa's sleigh ride as well as the train. He sat on Santa's lap and as soon as he saw him, he gave him a big smile. It was precious. Oh, and I had my cheesesteak :cloud9: . Yesterday, I took a personal day to do some school work and wrapping. I didn't do either. I ended up baking and cleaning all day in preparation for my friends and their kids coming over for our annual Christmas party (which I somehow always end up hosting). One of my friends just got divorced. I posted about her a while ago. Her husband left her when her baby was 2 weeks old. She is 6 months now and they've been divorced for a month already. Anyway, her son is 5 and I can see such a turn for ther worse in his behavior since the divorce. He was so hyper. He was always hyper but he was just awful yesterday. I honestly don't know how she is able to deal with his behavior. Then, when I saw her today, she told me he had a meltdown when he got home. She said, "and he had been so good at your house." I almost choked. I can't believe she thought he was good.

Justhat - I think your picture are great and I love your tree!

Jill - I agree with Alice28. Costco sounds like a good idea. Make things simple. Scheduling a baptism the week before Christmas sounds like something I would do.

Lissawynn - Jimmy is so cute! What a smile. Oh, and I love shows like the Gauntlet.

DisPhd - I love your pictures. The girls look so cute in their matching dresses.

nucpharm29 - I'm glad your heat is fixed. Ours was out too. It cost us a thousand dollars to fix :earseek: but it was worth every penny and our hot water is no longer running out when we take showers.

joats - I could have written your post myself. I can't stand all of the commitments. We are booked every weekend. I just want to relax. I don't even have time to wrap presents. I'll be wrapping all night on Christmas Eve I guess.

OK, time to play with Aidan. He's laughing with DD and being very cute!

diskim - Storybookland sounds great! I'm glad you had fun.

disphd - Great pictures! I agree, the dresses are very cute.

I just got back from shopping. We have 2 kids we pulled off of a Wish tree at DH work. Of course I couldn't find exactly what one of the kids wanted. I think I'll just include the gift receipt and hopefully someone can help him return it.

I had to buy a new stockpot today. I am going to make a batch of peanut brittle to give as gifts to DH's coworkers who are coming over on Saturday night. Our nonstick stockpot is chipping so badly. I couldn't possibly cook something like that in it for fear that it would all chip off and end up in their peanut brittle. A stockpot is not exactly what I planned on buying this Christmas season, but I guess we needed it.

Gotta run!

Tamie

oh - We have the Graco Comfortsport too. There were 3 different models and prices at Babies R Us - we got the middle one. I didn't see much difference between the most expensive and the middle priced one, but I thoguht the cheapest one seemed too uncomfortable, it didn't have much padding. I did some research and it had good reviews.

Hi to all the mommies! It's Gonna take me a minute to catch up!

Justhat - I saw your tree and I like it. I thought if you saw DH's "tree" you may feel a lot better. My DH is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and every year we have to but up this ugly, silver tinsel and blue monstrosity in honor of them! Belive me, I fought and this a battle I will not win!

This is in my kitchen no less, the first thing anyone sees when they come in!

I can't really stay on, but wanted to check in. I have not been on in months. My little terror still does not sleep more than three hours at a time! So, I quickly took a look at that AWESOME Cowboys tree. I love it! I wish I had a Patriots one! I will have to work on that! Maybe when the boy gets older, since I had to go out and purchase a "Princess Tree" today! I hope to be able to catch up with you all soon.. Hope all is well, and have a great Christmas!

Hello mommies and good morning! it's 7am and Katelyn is still asleep which makes me very happy, the past 2 days she wanted to get up at 5:30 am to play. Hayley just sleeps away like a little sleeping angel. Hayle is such a good baby, not like her big sister was when she was a baby. Its so funny how my 2 girl's are so different. Katelyn was a grumpy and moody baby all the time, but Hayley is totally the opposite, it just blows my mind away. Well hope you all have a great day and keep the little one's safe as well as yourselves. Take care

Believe me I'd rather have a Pat's tree. I am a Pat's fan and am raising Aidan to be one but DH loves those Cowboys!

2sweetangels-I know what you mean about your 2 kids being so different. With Emma, she would eat and then sleep, eat and sleep. She was content just to lay around. Matthew needs a lot more attention. He is the most wide awake baby I have ever seen. No down time for me.

Diskim-Storybook land sounds like so much fun. It's so cold up here that we don't get to do any of the outside xmas things with the little ones. I'd love to take them to our zoo for the sleigh ride, etc, but I'm not taking them out at night in below zero weather.

Well, I'm sitting here watching it snow, snow, snow. We're supposed to get up to 10 inches today. Yippee! Luckily our heat got fixed, and our van got fixed yesterday. I am so thankful for warranties. We only have 800 miles left on our van's warranty. But we got full use out of it yesterday. They had to replace/fix 4 different things, one having to do with the transmission! The warranty saved us about $1000!

I feel for all of you getting your houses ready for holiday company and doing the cooking and baking. We are travelling to my parents for the holidays, so really none of that for me. However, being the crazy mom I am, I decided to go over to a friends house yesterday to bake cookies for a cookie exchange. She has a 2 1/2 year old and a 9 month old, so those 2 with mine made for extreme chaos. My friend and I were so frustrated, that an hour into baking we were looking for the wine! :rotfl: Hope everyone has a great day!

Stephanie

Hello all! I have the middle school creeping crud again. I take comfort in the fact that many of my colleagues are sick, too. At least I'm not the only one. Jimmy and I took a fabulous nap together yesterday after I picked him up from my dad's house. Then the little stinker did not want to sleep last night. I kind of felt sorry for DH, as he was Daddy in Charge while I rested. We are supposed to get snow, freezing rain/sleet, and more snow on top of that starting tomorrow afternoon. It's looking good for another snow day on Friday! At this point in time, I'm not thinking about missing Easter break to make up the time. I'm sure I'll be cranky and miserable about it come April.

nucpharm29 - Glad to hear your warrenty covered all of the repair expenses. What a terrible time of the year to have to pay for car repairs. I'm in the same holiday boat as you. I don't host a dinner b/c our house is too small. I do like to keep it tidy, though, just b/c I'm compulsive about it.

bellacam - One of my colleagues is from Texas, and she is a HUGE Cowboys fan. I'm sure she would love your tree. DH likes the Steelers, and most of our ornaments are gold. I don't know if they make black ornaments, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to put them on my tree.

tykes - I hope you get much use out of your new stockpot. I really need new cookware, but I threatened DH with bodily harm if he ever bought me stuff for the house as a gift. I may take some of my summer school money and buy myself a set of All Clad or something similar.

DisKim - Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself at Storybookland. Yes, I love the cheesy reality shows on MTV. I can't believe I stayed up late enough to watch the Gauntlet. I'm usually in bed by 9:00.

Carseat - Way back in June when Jimmy outweighed his infant carrier, we bought one of the Eddie Bauer seats at BRU. I don't remember the name, but it was the same as the Cosco one, only it was the "Eddie Bauer" brand. I think DH liked it b/c it was blue. Anyway, it was about $180 with a coupon I got from Val (thanks again). It's ok, but looking back, I probably would have purchased the Britax. It's a nice seat, but we have to extend the straps to buckle Jimmy up. In another month we get to turn the seat around! Yay!

DisPhD - Great family photo!

Hi Everyone! :wave2:

I should be cleaning my house now, but I wanted to pop on in and say hello!

Tamie - Thanks for the well wishes. :teeth: You are right, I am a little crazy to be having JP's baptism one week before Christmas. If I make it through Sunday in one piece it will be a miracle. :teeth:

Nucpharm - Glad to hear that you got your heat back. Hope the cookie baking went well!

Hillbeans - I love your Christmas pictures of the boys! They are too cute! Thanks, too, for the ham idea. I think I will pick one up on Saturday at Costco.

Valerie - I hope your sorority Christmas party went well! :wizard:

Joats - I hear you about the stress this time of year. You aren't selfish at all about wanting to keep your weekends free. My DH and I always say that we want a quiet Christmas, but it never ends up being one. It is always chaotic and we end up pooped.

Lisawynn - I hope that your wrists feel better. Good luck with school and I hope that it gets better.

Justhat - I love your card and your tree is cute too! :sunny:

SL - Have a wonderful time at your husband's holiday party. Sorry, but I don't have any advice on car seats. The last time I bought one was about 7 years ago and I'm sure there are so many neat car seats out now that I have no clue about.

Gems - Thanks for the advice for John Paul's constipation. I hope that Shelby's immunizations go well next week. That is too bad that you had to go in just to be told to come back next week.

Tasha - Thanks for the advice for John as well! He is a little better. They had us use baby suppositories. That was fun to put in him! Ick. Good luck with your Christmas shopping! :sunny:

DisneyPhD - That is a great family picture! :flower:

Alice28 - Are you my long lost twin? :p I used to be "fru fru" about parties too, but with kids it went out the window! I am a big fan of Costco and actually went last night to pick up frozen items for Sunday. They had so many neat things. Yum Yum! :earboy2:

DisKim - Glad to hear that Storybookland went well. I'm sorry to hear about your friends kids. My sister got divorced 9 years ago and my niece and nephew had a hard time with it and acted out for a bit. It was heartbreaking at the time, but today they are two great kids.

Bellacam - Cute cowboys tree! My DH would love it if they made a NY Giants one! :teeth:

Patsfan - I hope that your baby will start to sleep more than 3 hours at a time. John Paul was starting to tease us with going 4-5 hours between feeding, but then he went back to three. Good luck! :grouphug:

2sweetangels - My dd's are both so different in personality and looks that it is amazing. The funny thing is that I can see a little of each of them in John Paul. It is fun to see how different all the kids are. :sunny:

I better run now. John Paul is getting fussy. I also need to get back to work. I'm not sure if I will get a chance to pop back in on this thread much until after Sunday.

Everyone have a great day and weekend! :cheer2:

The Cowboy Christmas tree cracks me up! :rotfl2: Gotta love it!

I'm sorry you're sick again lissawynn- :guilty: sounds like you're in for some crummy weather!!!

Jill- maybe we are long lost twins! LOL. I remember when DH and I were first married, I used to make everything from scratch, have parties, light candles, my house would be sparkling clean....now, like I said it's either Costco, eat holiday dinners at my parents house cause they have a lot more room, or meet at a restaurant. Oh well, such is life with young children and that's ok.

Molly is being SO crabby, I cannot even handle it. The last 3 days I have had to nurse her to sleep, and then she wakes up the second her head hits her crib sheet. And Screams bloody murder until I go get her. I finally felt around in her mouth- sure enough a 7th tooth is working its way in. that will make it the 5th tooth in less than a month! But I just haven't had a break! My mom watched her for an hour today so I could get my haircut, but the house is just driving me crazy. She sleeps ok at night though, so that's a good thing (only cause I'm laying her down with me!).

nucpharm- glad the van repairs were still under warranty! Our Subaru's warranty ran out this last summer and I hate that! Oh well, it's a trusty car so hopefully we won't have any mega problems.

I don't know much else. Just praying for a good power nap from Molly today! I not only want to tidy up, but I have had my scrapbook stuff strewn out the last 48 hours just TRYING to get caught up! If I can get a good 3 hours of scraptime, I could get so much done! Ha!

Hi all,
Justthat,
That is very nice photo collage and your tree looks cute :) .

Tamie,
I admire you for making the peanut brittle. Every single time I try and make homemade candy it turns into a disaster. I burnt some chocolate bark I was going to use for my cookie exchange on Monday  .

DisneyPhd,
Your girls are beautiful! Lovely family pic :) .

Diskim,
Glad you had a good day off on Monday. Storybookland sounds cute.

Bridget,
My dh is a Dolphins fan and I'm sure he would love a "football" tree. Of course, I don't know how I'd like it in my kitchen ;) .

SL,
We actually still have the convertable seat we used for ds so I'll be using that soon I'm sure. Katrina is actually and inch taller than the recommended height for her carrier seat but the dr. said she was still okay in it for now. I think after Christmas we'll be switching.

Tasha,
I hope you have a nice weekend with your side of the family. Good luck finding what you need for gifts :) . I think I'm finally done aside from one gift card I need for my mom.

Jill,
I hope the baptism goes smoothly for you. We did cold cuts one year for DS' b-day and that was super easy and everyone enjoyed it.

Robin,
Hopefully, the night will go smoothly with Molly. Poor kid with all those teeth coming in at once. I hope you can get some scrapping in tonight.

Lisawynn,
I hope you feel better soon.

Nucpharm,
10 inches :cold: ! I'm glad you were able to get all your repairs done before the big storm. Stay warm :sunny: !

The party went well last night but the cake didn't exactly come out like I planned ;) . It was a bit lopsided but I left it out anyway 'cause it was a lot of work. Between that and the burned chocolate I was super stressed on Monday.

I actually had two sets of company yesterday. My friend came to do present exchange with her kids in the afternoon and then I had the party at night. Tonight another friend is coming with her family to do present exchange. It's been a busy couple of days. However, it works pretty well since I only had to clean the house once :teeth: .

DS accidently head butted me in the chin today and threw my jaw out of whack. My neck is killing me from it and it was 3 hours ago. I've got heat on it now but it is agonizing. I hope it goes away on it's own and I don't have to go to the dr. .

Well, I guess I better go and get ready for my friend. Talk to you all soon :wave2: .

Just a quick post to show off my Santa pic from last night of Kevin and Liam:

Adorable Santa picture Hillary!!

lol at the Cowboys tree - too funny!

lisawynn - sorry you are getting sick again.

vald - you poor thing! Sorry to hear about the cake and chocolate. Chocolate can be hard to work with. And ouch about your neck and jaw. That had to hurt. I hope you feel better soon. Have fun with your friends and your holiday party.

My peanut brittle turned out! I also did cinnamon roasted almonds. They are good, but I think I'll add a little more cinnamon next time. They need a little more flavor.

Tamie

Love the Santa photo Hillbeans! The boys look so sweet!

Bellacam, thanks for the picture of your tree. Now I know I'm not the only one with a tiny, cheesy tree in the house. Yours is a cute idea too I think, though I totally understand why you wouldn't want it in your kitchen. And thanks everyone for the compliments on the photo and tree. I really wish we could have a real tree and feel kinda bad we dont', so you made me feel better about it. My consolation is that Madison has no concept of Christmas yet so she doesn't know she's got a sorry little tree compared to most others. Next year we'll be in a bigger place so we can get a bigger tree! Even though we dont' know what city we'll end up in yet, I went to a couple of open houses on Saturday for some condos in our area. I fell in love with one and got kinda sad that by the time we find out if we'll be staying in DC it will probably be sold. It was a great location, right by a playground and 2 metro stations, had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room with a fireplace. The best part was that it was 1300 square feet!! That's huge compared to where we are now so it would be great for us. They even had one of the bedrooms painted lavender, which would be so cute for Madison. Sigh. Well hopefully when we get our assignment in March I'll find something I like just as much.

As far as where we go, so far my husband has done interviews in DC, Philly, NYC, San Antonio and Cleveland. He loved Cleveland! He said the hospital and staff were awesome and if he had to rank today that would be his #1 choice. I would be okay with that as we have family there so it wouldn't be too bad. He's still got 2 more interviews in NYC before Christmas and then in January he's got 1 in Minnesota, 1 in Nashville, some in Arizona and then I think he's done. We submit our rank list in February so I will have some idea of where we'll be by then, but of course, we don't find out for sure till March 16th. My mom is really, really pushing for NYC and has been able to find downsides to every other city so far. I understand she wants us close to her, but gosh, it makes it so hard for me to be excited about moving anywhere else.

Whoever asked about the carseat (sorry, I feel like I can't remember anything lately), we have 2 Britax seats (a Roundabout and a Marathon) and love them. My cousin and some friends have the Evenflo Triumph and they love them. Something about how easy it is to get the belts tight cause they have a memory feature or something like that. They look really comfy too. We tried Madison in it in the store, but then got the Marathon cause we figured it would last longer so we could possibly avoid a booster seat (it goes to 48 inches and 65 pounds). Valerie, Madison stayed in her infant carseat about 2 inches past the height limit too cause the carseat tech said it was fine. He told us the weight is much more important, but the height is there as a guideline. He said the real problem is if the top of the baby's head is less than an inch away from the top of the seat, cause then their head would go over the top of the seat in a crash, rather than their overall height. Same thing applies to convertible rearfacing seats. We still have Madison rearfacing as she's not even 24 pounds yet, but we have to turn her around in the Roundabout soon even though the rearfacing weight limit is 33 pounds because she's getting close to the inch from the top. We figure we'll leave her that way till our Disney trip, and since we have to take the seat out then anyway when we reinstall it we'll put it back forward facing. After that I'm guessing we'll have to turn her in my car too simply because she probably won't like rearfacing much after she knows she can face forward.

Madison's holiday breakfast at school went well. There was a good turnout of other parents and the kids had fun. Parents aren't really allowed in the classroom any other time so this was a big deal to the kids. Well, I mean, technically you're allowed, ya know, if you want to just show up and make sure your kid's okay or whatever, but I mean when you drop them off in the morning they get walked to the front gate of the school and walked in from there by an assistant teacher. Same with pickup, they're typically on the playground so you pick them up outside, or if it's rainy or super cold then they're in the class but the teacher walks them out as the parents show up. Of course the only problem with the breakfast was that Madison (and lots of other kids) freaked out when it was time for the parents to go. When I left about half the kids in the class were screaming "Mommy!" I guess it's really confusing to 2 year olds (Madison is the youngest in her class at 21 months) that Mommy came to school for an hour but now has to leave. Overall though it was fun.

Sorry everyone else, I know I have so much more to catch up with, but Madison just got out of the bathtub and I have to read her a story before bed. She had a nice 'daddy day' today (he took her to school, picked her up, took her shopping for my Christmas gift, to lunch, then to the airport cause they both like to watch planes, and he just finished bath and toothbrushing) so I got a lot of stuff done in terms of cards and gift wrapping. I totally agree though that there are way too many things to do over the holiday season!

Alice - I hope that Molly starts to nap again for you soon. I look forward to when John starts getting into a regular routine and I can try to plan doing work around that. I'm sure it will be awhile before that happens though! :teeth: I would love to be able to scrapbook again. I am about 7 years behind! I have Meagan's (my 10 yo) baby scrapbook done, but have yet to even finish Katie's and she is now 7. She keeps asking me to work on it with her. :guilty: John will be lucky if he gets one done.

Valerie - Ouch! :earseek: You poor thing! Being hit in the jaw really hurts. I hope it feels better soon and you don't need to go to the doctor.

Hillbeans - Your santa picture is really sweet. If I figure out how to do it, I will scan my Santa picture and post it.

Tamie - Mmmmmm....your peanut brittle sounds yummy! Glad to hear that it came out ok. I would love the recipe as I love peanut brittle!

Justhat - Best wishes to your husband with his interviews! :wizard: That would be great if you could stay in the DC area, but Cleveland sounds great for you all. Keep us posted on how it all goes. It sounds like Madison's holiday breakfast went well. I remember the days of preschool and when the kids would cry for their mommies. I miss those days! :)

Well this afternoon I got a call from the girls' school telling me that Katie fell and hit her head on a desk. They pulled my older daughter off the bus as it was dismissal time and I ran to the school to get them. Poor Katie had a huge welt on her head and her teacher said it was a pretty nasty fall. I'm keeping a close eye on her in case she has a concussion. I'll be waking her up tonight when I get up to feed John just to check on her. It is never a dull moment around here!

They are calling for an ice storm here tomorrow so we will see if they have early dismissal from school or not. Part of me hopes we have no school so we can all hang out at home.

Have a good night everyone! :wave2:

Jill- Good luck with the Baptiam. Hayley was Baptized this passt November nad we had cold cuts and everyone loved it and it was easy. Now i just got to figure out what to make for Katelyn's 2nd birthday in January for her party, LOL.

Good evvening all! All of a sudden I got this sad feeling that overcame me and I just started crying and I realized that this is my first christmas without my grandma, and we were so close. I don't know how Im gonna make it through this christmas, they say the first time is always the hardest and it is. I think I was so close to my grandma people thought we were mother and daughter. New Year's eve is gonna be hard as well, as far back as I can remember I use to spend almost every new year's eve at her house, just the 2 of us. The last time I was there for new year's was New Year's eve 2003 when I was pregnant with my first DD. Well take care all and make this Holiday season a warm and happy one with all your loved ones.

2sweetangels - :grouphug: Sorry to hear about your grandma. It can be so difficult around the holidays when we are dearly missing those that we love. :grouphug:
