Tasha I would be interested in the exchange if we can get enough mommies interested. I would need to be paired with someone who doesn't mind sending to England though.

Just wondered how many of you have breast fed your babies and if so did you solely b/f or did you top up with formula? I ask b/c I have been trying my best but Shelby seems never to be satisfied so we have been giving her a bit extra and then she seems fine. The midwife said that I had to stop doing this as it would confuse the baby, but we seem to be better off this way and it gives DH a chance to feed her too. What do you think?

B/c more than likely your person will be overseas too since I think you are the only one from the UK on here. And justhat I was planning to give names on Nov. 21 so your out of town dates would actually work out well, lol! But there would be plenty of time after you got back to pick it up too so don't worry.

If she "Switch-hits" ok, then go for it. i had to do this with Molly as she wasn't gaining weight in the beginning- the lactation consultants told me to do it! I still do this and she's almost 8 months- she breastfeeds first, and then if she's hungry again, I just give her a bottle. Makes life easier!

Oh- my stuff on ebay went for $50- not the greatest,but I'll take it. Would have done better if I waited til spring, but I wanted the stuff outta here! (it was all warm weather clothes).

Our little update - Tyler's face is looking much better. I think that was from teething though and not part of his rash. His body rash is still pretty bad. We're trying everything. I talked to the Dr. and did a little research. Pretty sure it's eczema. Now we just have to figure out what helps it and what brings it on. The Dr. said I could do a little benedryl. I'm not sure if I want to. Maybe before he goes to bed since it will help him sleep a little better. He isn't sleeping horribly though so I wonder if I should just skip it. I hate to medicate him if I don't need to.

I'm going to upload some Halloween pictures from tonight. We didn't really go trick or treating, just visited a couple of neighbors.

Hope everyone had a great day! Our street gets CRAZY Halloween night, we must have had at least 1,500 people or more up and down our street. Neighbors make haunted houses in their yards and garages and all the surrounding neigborhoods come here for the free entertainment and candy. It was alot of fun, except Cameryn freaked out for alot of the night, either she was just fussy or overstimulated...but I never got her costume on her. I am going to put it on her tomorrow and take pics, as I wasted $25 on the costume! Here is our family photo from tonight. At least Cameryn had a little Halloween beanie on her head!

I think I'm the only mommy who didn't buy a costume! Molly had a Trick or Treat shirt from old Navy, but she got dinner all over it! I will post anyway- here is a pic of all three of my goblins:

My kids wimped out after only two blocks! "I'm tired mom....my bag is too heavy...my feet hurt....I wanna go home!" I was shocked! They did get a pretty good haul though for just about 25 houses. But only one snickers! I got jipped! They each got like 9 skittles and starburst, but one snickers.... probably better for my waistline, right?

Okay, so far we have 6 moms (including me) that have told me that they'd like to have an exchange so we have enough to do it. If you said you wanted to do it or you have decided to join those who are planning to do it please PM me the following info.

1.Baby's name
2.Address
3.Baby's age
4.What size clothing baby will be in around December or what size clothing you'd prefer to receive.
5.Any notes you wish to include such as if there is some type of toys you wouldn't mind having or if their is something you wouldn't want your child to have, any known allergies, if you'd prefer toys over clothes or vice versa. Basically anything you feel is important for your person to know. If you have no prefererence in what you receive just don't include any notes. And don't send too many notes or it will take the fun out of shopping for your baby. 1-2 notes should be fine though.
6. Are you willing to ship internationally? We have one mom from the UK in this exchange and I plan to randomly draw names. I don't want to assign her to somebody who doesn't want to ship internationally so just let me know.

Okay, I am going to let people sign up until November 14 in case people aren't sure if they can or we have any new moms before then. I will give out names on the 15th and we will have a mail by date of December 2. The minimum is $10 plus S & H, but you can spend more if you'd like but it's not required. It's a flexible exchange. Send what you'd like...clothes, toys, Christmas cards, etc. But do take into consideration any notes that your person includes.

Molly fell asleep while we were trick or treating, and although she woke up twice to eat, she slept from 6:00 last night until 7:30 this morning!!!!!!!!!!!! She was WIPED out! She still has her little sweatshirt on from last night cause I didn't have the heart to wake her up to take it off.

i'm so excited! i just re-booked our rooms for our disney trip at a great rate.

dh only grows a beard for hunting season then he shaves it off. hunting season is almost over. i don't mind the way he looks with the beard, i just prefer the kisses i receive without it!

i need some opinions - i was going to get tyler's 6 mo pictures done with just his diaper on - but now he has this rash. i've put off his pictures so far. he's only a week past 6 months. should i wait another week, skip the nudie picks and do them at 9 months or just take them with the rash since this is how he was at 6 months?

tykes - My DH used to have a mustache. I convinced him to shave it off not too long after we were married. I really didn't like it, and I can't imagine him having it ever again. My dad used to "try" to grow a beard during hunting season. He did it last year until my sister and I bothered him so much about it (it was awful) that he shaved it off. The kicker was we told him he looked much older with it and it was gone the next day.

Pic...I had Jimmy's done a little before 6 months. I didn't have any earlier ones done b/c it was cold outside and I didn't want him in a mall with a bunch of coughing people. It's your decision about whether to go nude or not. I have a couple of nudie photos (of the baby I took at home, and I'm sure they'll be enough to sufficiently embarrass him when he's older.

I'm very excited about the gift exchange for the babies! I love doing the exchanges. I'm also way too excited about Secret Santa at school. It's terrible, but I so look forward to each year. Last year one of the teachers in my department was my Secret Santa and she got me the stuff I love the most (Coke and Hershey bars with almonds).

I really need to get to work. I have about 100 compare/contrast essays that need to be graded by Friday. I have to get off the computer and get them done...

Hi everyone! It has been a while! I love all the Halloween pictures! I hope everyone had a great Halloween with their babies. My friend's baby girl was Princess Leia (sp?) from Star Wars. It was the cutest costume I had ever seen! Her big brother was Darth Vader! Aidan was a skunk. He reminded me of one of the lost boys from Peter Pan. He hated wearing thing. We took it off pretty quickly.

Tasha - you can count me in on the exchange. It sounds like fun. Oh, by the way, I love the birthday list. Thanks so much for doing it. I feel like a stinker but Aidan's birthday is April 18th. I went into labor on the 17th but had him the next day.

Welcome Shelby and Sebastian! (Boy, I had a lot of catch up reading to do)

My Aidan is 3 months today. We took him to have his pictures done and they came out great. It dosen't seem possible he is three months already. I will post them as soon as I can.
