Madison's still eating breakfast (it's been about 25 minutes and she only has raisin bran and a pop tart) so I figured I'd get on here now in case I nap with Henry when she's at school. I'm so tired. Like Carson, Henry decided to wake up and play during the night. He just learned to smile a couple of days ago and thought 1am was a good time to practice that. Cute, but it was definitely sleep time and as a result now I'm exhausted. We're driving to school this morning cause it's late and I have no desire to power walk at this moment. Of course that means we have about 20 minutes since it's maybe a 5 minute drive.

Alice28, I think those molasses sticks are great too. I told Joey since there were 3 he could actually eat a whole one. Though I admit wishing he'd say no! After our Med cruise this summer I'm planning to go to DLP for 2 or 3 days so I'll look for some stuff I can bring back for you for your planning. You're not planning to go before then right?

DisKim, I forgot to say that your comment about the Official Senior Citizens thread was too funny. It still cracks me up just thinking about it and all of us being so old still on this thread. :lmao:

Well Madison's done and wants the bathroom light on. She never remembers to turn it on before sitting on the potty. Oh, and she's another one who strips down before the bathroom and then leaves everything off till you remind her to re-dress.

I forgot that the acorn kid also told Madison to throw Nick in the trash cause he's ugly and he didn't like him. This was before she gave him the acorn so I was really surprised that she didn't hate him after that comment. He also asked if he bites. Joey said I should have said "Yes, he bites little boys who take acorns." ;)

Morning, ladies! I got my hair cut yesterday. He put in some layers in the back and around my face and tried to blend in the bangs that I had cut myself a month ago (note to anyone tempted to cut her own hair when she has absolutely no experience, knowledge, or business cutting anyone's hair - DON'T!) So of course, it took me forever to get a 'do going this morning because I'm not used to it.

justhat - I admire you for even attempting that trip on the train! I think that I would have given a 2 year old back her acorn when I was 8 without the need for my mom to get involved. What a brat that kid was.

Alice28 - Congrats on almost selling your car! I hope everything works out.

DisKim - Good luck to your DH! A 2 hr interview seems promising.

dizagain - I hope you got some sleep last night (or rather, early this morning).

glt - Hope you manage to sleep some, too. How's the freelance writing going?

nucpharm - Have a great trip!

fabumouse - Sorry Madeleine was so fussy at the back to school night.

hillbeans - Good luck with the birthday party this weekend.

llij - An American Idol party sounds pretty neat. Do you have a karaoke machine?

ryan - Have fun planning your DL trip.

tkyes - Glad you had a good time at lunch.

joats - Glad your DH is feeling better. I can't wait to see a picture of Disco Jace!

floridafam - Any new on the septic fix?

BnB - Hope Celeste's dance class went well.

zalansky - I never heard of that business. You'll have to let us know what you find out about it.

GM - Good luck with the housewarming.

vettechick - Congrats!

Weekend plans: Tonight is dinner at Panera Bread whenever DH gets out of work. Then we might try to go to TJ Maxx to look at their luggage. Saturday we're driving to upstate New York to visit DH's cousin, who is Lucas' godfather, for the afternoon. We're hoping to leave there around 4pm so we can make it to my cousin's bday party which is that evening. We have no plans on Sunday but we might go out shopping for stuff for our trip since next weekend is booked solid with plans and we leave next Monday.

Good morning everyone :goodvibes

TGIF!!!!!

First, before I forget - HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIAM!!!
:bday:
Have a great party this weekend!!!

Diskim - I am anxious to hear what the outcome is of your DH's interview as well. 2 hours IS promising. Forgive me, because I don't ever get to read all the posts, but is this for a position in NC? Or have you changed your mind about moving there? ANd BTW I am with you on McSteamy. ;)

nucpharm - have a GREAT time with your sister this weekend! That sounds like so much fun.

Alice - hope that woman comes back today about the car and that she buys it! That would be fantastic. :wizard:

dizagain - I give you alot of credit for being able to post in the middle of the night. When I was going through getting up with the baby, I barely could muster up energy to feed her.

Jill - WOW you do have a busy weekend ahead of you! An AI sleepover sounds like so much fun. Sleepovers have improved since my day! Have a great time.

Sl - Enjoy Panera tonight. I love that place. I love their french onion soup, I ate it alor when I was pregnant with Cameryn.

Fabumouse - sorry about the sleeping issue. The grunting part made me laugh though. I think alot of babies do that....mine both did but until you posted that, I'd forgotten. Funny the little things we forget....hope you get some good sleep soon.

GLT - :grouphug: - I have been feeling emotional too, but mine is PMS. I hope you feel better today.

Hi to all the other moms. :wave2:

I am not going to look into that mom team. I had sent my resume to Disney about 2 months ago and they called me the next day and the day after that. I didn't return the call because DH was such a PITA about the whole thing. What he didn't get was that is was not about the money...its about me having something to do to make ME feel productive and get out in the world and use my brain. Not to mention work doing something I know alot about and love. A guy at the job I left in January, his wife works there and he told me that they get fantastic perks. Free park tickets (there is a limit) discounts on rooms of course (though I don't need that due to DVC) but if I wanted to buy more DVC points, castmembers get 25% off!!! Which is very good. Also, his wife would win dining certificates all the time. So they'd go to Disney for the night and eat at the fancy restaurants, free. I think he also said they'd give away merchandise and other things. Also, castmembers can shop at "the backlot" which is in Orlando....it is where Disney sells their overstocked items DIRT CHEAP to employees only. The public cannot go there. I have a friend whose parents work at MGM part time and they bought a bunch of Mickey shelves that were taken from Port Orleans when they remodeled a few years ago. They repainted them and put them in their girls rooms. Very cute. Anyway, those are just some of the perks I can think of. Oh one more, they can cruise on the disney cruise, last minute, for dirt cheap too.

Well, thats it. I need to pop in the shower so that I can hit the mall today. I need to get out of the house. The weather is finally cooling off here :dance3: .....hallelujiah!!!

Have a great day ladies.

Good afternoon, ladies! We went grocery shopping this morning, and it must have worn poor Luke out--poor thing is still asleep after his feed. But it's nice to have a few minutes to myself. And tonight, we have nothing, zero, zip, nada on the calendar! So, I have a pot of meatballs simmering in homemade sauce on the stove--quick and easy dinner, and a step up from last night's grilled cheese.

Celeste LOVED dance class. I don't know what was up with her--she was screaming about not wanting to go, and then the next thing you know, she was psyched to go, had her outfit on and everything. So, go figure. She did as well as could be expected, it being a preschool dance class. There was at least one girl from her preschool class, plus I met two other moms who live near me with daughters her age. One lives just up the road, has lived there for 8 years, and we never met! That's typical in our rural town, though--we live on a corner, and she's up the road a rarely drive up, not the one our driveway is on.

Robert had a baseball gae last night, and he did great but got hit in the leg. Okay, no huge deal, but he kept casually mentioning it in conversation--you know, "Okay, Mom, I'll put my clothes in the wash, even though my leg really hurts from where I got hit..." After 20 or 30 or so of these type remarks, I offered to amputate it for him! That shut him up.

Oh, and Jocelyn had gymnastics, and is thrilled because the instructor moved her up another level. This is going to make our Thursdays pretty hairy, but only through Nov. Also, Robert cub scout leader has this passive-agressive thing going on with DH and I--I'm not sure what she's got a bug up her butt about, we used to get along, but DH told her Thursdays were bad, so naturally, that's the night she makes for cub scout meetings! DH is literally going to have to meet the kids at the school after their mini-courses, bringing a dinner with him, because Robert has 15 minutes and Jocelyn has 30 minutes until their next activity! Yuck! But it's only through Nov. Still, I'm pretty steamed at the cub scout lady.

GLT--you may be getting Aunt Flo soon, and not realize it. With #2 and #3, I got it when they were ~9-10 months, but still nursing. Just make sure you use birth control! I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed and stressed. I hope things pick up for you.

Loretta--Those perks sound pretty good, and if it's what you want to do, I say go for it! My SIL works at Target part time, and she swears it's a scam, because she spends more there than she earns!

Justthat--I remember going to DC with a double stroller--the kids were 3 and 4. I loved the Metro--but what a pain with the stroller. I had one time when I was going around to the door to get it on, and Robert just took off on me! I'm sure you needed a stiff shot of something after that little journey. And I can't believe that boy in the park--I keep a close eye on Robert with younger children, just because he doesn't "get" that their style of play is different, and I never would have let him walk off with her prized acorn. Hopefully sharing will go better for Madison next time.

ryan--I'm jealous about your furniture purchase. DH has been after me to get us some bedroom furniture, and I'm just cheap. So our bedroom is still decorated in "early thrift shop". I just can't justify spending $ on a room we only sleep in. But then I think, I've got this inheritence coming from my mom--not a ton, but unexpected $ (maybe $20k), and bedroom furniture is on my list...right after a Disney trip. I'm sure our financial planner will be on our case to invest it, but a spending spree sounds so fun sometimes...

Robin--That's great about the car! I hope it all pans out for you.

Jill--Good luck this weekend. It sounds busy but fun.

I have to go--the prince is awake!

zalansky - Those perks sound great! DH's interview was not for a job in NC. He is not going to look there again until he has his master's in March. It is with a local college.

ff~ No, she didn't know about this other position before I enrolled Kylie. I would be livid if she did and didn't let me know. There are 2 campuses for my school. The one has a daycare already. My campus doesn't but is getting one and it was just announced a few weeks ago. That is also when they posted that they needed a director. She must have applied then. If Kylie was old enough I would send her there since she already knows the director and it is at my school which is about as convenient as it comes. It's also dirt cheap to send her there. But alas, she won't be old enough until the month I graduate and then it won't be necessary to send her there anymore. I don't blame the director for taking it as it will mean more money and better benefits for her and she is qualified IMO but I am still sad about it. I also feel a tremendous amount of guilt since Kylie just recently became adjusted to this new environment and now she will basically have to start over!

justhat~ Yeah, we *thought* dh's grandmother would keep Kylie for us at one time. She had mentioned she would in the past. She is the absolute last person I would ever want to keep Kylie but I was thinking we would if we had no other options. The problem is she lives an hour away which really wouldn't work with my schedule and it would be way too high in gas money. It turns out she was going to charge us even more than local daycares charge to keep Kylie! Um, no thanks! I'm not driving 2 hours each day just to pay more than I could/should be paying to have a negative, nagging relative keep my child! (I actually like dh's grandmother but she gets on my last nerve concerning Kylie! She is one of those people that isn't happy unless she is constantly griping, nagging, or criticizing everything everyone around her does. She has been a nightmare to us with the constant criticism since we had Kylie.)

Well, ladies, I just wanted to let you all know that the director at Kylie's daycare said that she thinks somebody is going to rent the place and that it will stay open but this woman charged more at her old daycare than the current director does so she probably won't let me pay for part-time daycare.

By the time I had picked Kylie up yesterday I was on the ball and had called other daycares. I tried to get Kylie in with a sitter that is highly recommended (and dh knows personally) but she is full right now. Most everywhere is full now. But I did have a little luck. I am going this afternoon to check out another daycare that is also in a pretty good location and sounds promising. She won't let me pay for part-time daycare so it will end up costing me another $40 a week if I put Kylie there. Bummer. BUT she owns the building and isn't renting so she isn't as likely to leave if a better opportunity arises. It won't be quite as easy for her to do that as the ones at the current daycare since they rent the building and don't actually own it. Dh and I are concerned that the new director at Kylie's current daycare may end up getting a better offer and pick up and leave eventually too and then we will be back at this point again. So we are thinking it might be best to just switch her to the other one if we like it. Dh is going to go with us to check it out in less than a couple hours. Hopefully everything will work out. Wish us luck!

I will try to get back on here either tonight or tomorrow and update on how it went and I will try my best to semi-catch up with all of you! We are going to my ILs tonight for dinner and I have to study for 2 quizzes and a test this weekend (the studying never ends it seems!) but I will try to get on here for an hour or so just to catch up since I am so far behind these days. Well, I need to feed Kylie before we go so I'll talk to you all later!

We're heading out to the park, but I wanted to wish you luck with the new daycare Tasha. I hope you like it and that the extra $40 won't be too hard to manage. And too bad about your GMIL. She sounds a bit like my mom. I love her, but she's just full of criticism and complaints, especially regarding my parenting and kids!

Bad mommy alert - Tyler screamed his head off at the health club child care center. They give them 15 minutes and then call you. I worked out for 45 minutes and went to get him and they said "we've been pagin you for 25 minutes. He's cried almost the whole time" :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

I did not here the pages at all. It was super loud in the club today and I was listening intently for a page and didn't hear one. He obviously survived, but I felt so bad! Both for him and for those that had to listen to him scream!

tasha - congrats on the new daycare option.

justthat - Holy adventure! You're a saint for taking that many kids out. I'm glad the doors opened back up for you, how scary. And the acorn kid (and his mommy) sound awful! I can't even imagine!! What's an acorn worth to an 8 year old? seriously!

bnb - Glad dance went well. LOL about milking the leg injury. Sounds like you'll be quite busy this fall!

hillary - Happy Birthday to Liam :cake: I can't believe he's going to be a year! Time flies. We can't wait to see pics. I hope the party goes well.

jill - I hope your party goes well too. An American Idol party sounds like fun. So, do you have a karoake machine?

zalansky - Those do sound like great perks. I agree, it's really nice to have something going on other than being a mommy.

sl - I bet your hair looks great. It is hard to adjust to a new style. Enjoy Panera, yummy!

nucpharm - Have a great weekend! The hotel sounds beautiful!

I should run. I need to wrap the wedding present and iron a shirt for Tyler to wear. I can't believe I bought a 16 month old a shirt that I have to iron. It is cute though! :)

In case I don't get on here, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

Tamie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIAM!

Joats- It looks like we’re having a small housewarming party, which is fine with me.
Glad your DH is improving.

Justhat- You’re a saint for taking all those kids on the train. I would have had a meltdown if the train doors closed like that! I can’t believe you were so patient with that nasty kid in the park too. I probably would have said something nasty to the mom.

Alice- That peti at CC sounds like heaven. The first and only time I had a peti, the woman was chewing my ear off and talking about how she just had a lady come in who wanted her peti done with Listerine, because she thought there were diseases in the foot bath thing. BLECH!

SL- I love Panera. I just got a coupon in the mail for a FREE pizza from their new pizza line and I can’t wait to try it.

Well, the estimates came in on the car, and it’s costing me $909! OWWWWWWCH! :furious: :confused3
I have to go drop off a check tonight or tomorrow. Luckily I got a check today which will cover about half of that.

DBro is very close to getting that house that’s near me. They’re only $6000 apart on the price now. It would be really cool if he’d move so near us. DBro also picked up a bunch of Jones sodas for the office, so I was happy to drink a green apple one today :)

DSis(16) is sleeping over tonight since she hasn’t been able to yet. I was going to have both of the girls over, but my other sister was being just awful yesterday and not listening at all, so I had to tell her she couldn’t come anymore. She was sooo upset. As I was leaving she shouted “and I only have ONE sister!” Kids are too funny.

My roommate from college called last night. I haven’t talked to her in well over a year, so it was good to catch up. It turns out, she’s 5 weeks pregnant. She’s all excited and nervous and I’m really happy for her. So there was lots of good news and lots of bad news yesterday.

Anyway, back to work here. I have to figure out the postage on all these motion papers that are going out!

RUN!!! .10 click at Sunshine!!!

We have my DH's football game tonight followed by an after game dinner and a college football game tomorrow night, so I have a lot things to get done while Jenna is napping. I will try to catch up with everyone later.

Happy b-day to Liam!!! :cake:

Tasha- Good luck scouting the daycare.

TTFN! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi everyone! :sunny:

Just popping in quickly to say hi! John was up 3 times last night so I am a little sleepy today. I got home from the funeral and got a call to go pick up Katie. Apparently her stomach hurt and she wanted to go home. She was fine and I knew she was fine so I asked if she could go back to class for the last 20 minutes of school. The answer was 'no, come get me.' It turns out that her pants were too tight so it bothered her stomach. Ugh.

Oh, and we do have a karaoke machine. The girls will be making AI door knockers, painting t-shirts and having a singing contest.

Dizagain - Thanks for the skit idea for the girls. I think that is a keeper! :thumbsup2

Justhat - As I was reading your post, I was envisioning you on the Metro with all of those kids. Yikes! The metro is not forgiving at all and I am so glad that it all worked out. That is terrible too about that 8 year old boy. I think what is worse is the mom's reaction. How terrible!

Tamie - Sorry to hear about Tyler and the club. I think we've all had those 'mommy moments.'

Tasha - Hang in there! I hope that the daycare situation works out for you. I feel like you do too. All I ever do is study and I never get any time to myself. My free time is to catch up with you all. :goodvibes

Robin - All of the talk about See's chocolate is making me drool! ;)

Hillbeans - Have a great time with Liam's party! Post pictures! :cloud9:

Zalansky - Those benefits sound great! I understand how you feel about wanting to get out and do something. I hope that your husband comes around and lets you work for the call center.

DisKim - How did the pep rally go today? If your dh gets the job, do you think he will take it? Good luck!

J&D - Have fun at the game tonight!

SL - Good luck shopping for luggage and enjoy Panerra (sp?) bread. I love that place!

Ginamarie - Ouch about the cost of the car repair! :guilty: Have fun with your sister tonight.

BNBmom - I'm so glad to hear that Celeste's dance class went well. I bet it was cute to watch all of the little ones dance. Enjoy your nice relaxing evening!

Fabumouse - I hope that you can get some rest! Sending warm wishes your way that Madeleine sleeps better tonight!

Nucpharm - Have a great trip!

GLT - :grouphug: :grouphug: Sorry to hear how stressed you are. We are all here for you!

Ok, I gotta run. John is fussy! I still need to clean up a bit before some of the moms and daugthers arrive for tonights meeting. Hi to all the moms! I'm sorry if I missed anyone! :wave2:

Hi everyone~

I am taking a break before I need to workout. We had to take the Outback down to the mechanic this morning, and since we only have 1 carseat right now, I had to then take out the carseat and balance it on the stroller to walk home with the kids. I guess I have to do that on the way back to get it unless my neighbor comes home from work early so she could keep an eye on the kids for me for 10 minutes. At least the place is only 6 blocks away.

Then we went to the cross-town mall because I had all those freebie food coupons, and they have the huge Gymbo and I needed to exchange a dress for Molly that was too small. The second we get up to the food court, DH calls and wants to meet for lunch. I still got our free minibon and Jamba juice. :teeth: The boys drooled over Legos at the Lego store---they are already conjuring up their Christmas lists (and Sam his bday list). Except Joshua likes the big, hard ones that there is NO WAY he could assemble. Anyway, then we went across the way to our family favorite, Red Lobster. I had some coconut shrimp and they were so rich and tasty! Hence, the need for a workout!

I'm still feeling a bit crabby and tired today though. I do not know why. Aunt Flo is still not here. I'm with GLT on just kind of wanting it to start.

GLT- I hope you are able to get some rest this weekend and unwind a bit. I know it's hard sometimes.I hope whatever is stressing you out blows over.

Z- I am repeating myself, but I totally get just wanting to get out of the house and do something for work that you would enjoy, that's not necessarily about the money you would earn. I would think if it's just 10-15 hours a week, and if it's off hours where your DH could watch the kids, it would be super ideal. What fun perks! So if we called up wanting to make a reservation, there is like one in a 10,000 chance we could end up speaking with you? :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Jill- I wish I could send all the mommies some See's! We walked by the store in the mall today and Sam was begging for it, but I didn't have any cash on me and I wasn't about going to charge chocolate....that's pretty desperate! :lmao: That's kind of funny about Katie's pants being too tight and that's why she called you- funny girl! The party sounds like it will be a hit.

J&D- darn, I missed the click! Oh well. Hope the games go well!

GM- Ouch is right for that repair charge! :guilty: I'm sorry about that. A pedi with listerine? That's a new one! Although some of those pedicure places are kind of scary...but listerine on one's feet....hmmmm....doesn't sound very soothing.

Tamie- whoops on not hearing the page! That's one reason we are not going to church lately....the 4-5 times we went since DH came home, I get paged out of the service 10-15 minutes into it because Molly is having a fit. I know if we went regularly it wouldn't be an issue, but until she gets used to it, it's frustrating for me to go and miss the whole thing.

Tasha- I hope the daycare situation all pans out for you. You definitely have a lot on your plate right now, and don't need to be stressing about where she's going to go, cost, etc. I am sure you will do excellent on your upcoming quizzes and tests. :thumbsup2

Diz- I bet you are sleepy today!

BNB- glad you have a quiet night tonight- sounds like something you guys need!

OK, time to get off my buns and pop in my DVD. I would much rather snooze on the sofa, but I noticed today while walking in the mall that my shorts are ready to fall off...the pounds may not be showing on the scale (meaning pounds coming off) but I think I'm really toning some muscle underneath my flab and it's making a difference. My legs are also looking pretty good if I do say so myself. I should hope so, since the DVD I do 5-6 times I a week is half squats and lunges. :yay:

Well, we just got back from checking out the other daycare center and Kylie is napping so I have a min. Unfortunately, I forgot I have an online assignment due too so I don't have time to catch up right now but I promise I will do so this weekend. I feel so selfish always talking about me so I will do my best to catch up better tomorrow!

Anyway, I just have to say it's funny the way things work out. The new daycare is actually soooo much better than the one Kylie currently goes to. I was very impressed. It is more organized and the teachers seem like they have more experience and are good with the kids. I just felt right away that God had made this situation happen for a reason and that Kylie will be better off at the new center.

Scott was with me and when the daycare director went to answer the phone he and I discussed it and he was all for switching Kylie to it. So Kylie will be going to her current daycare next week and then the following week she is going to start going to the new one. She already seemed to like it. She fussed to get down and ran right over to a doll on a changing table. The girl just isn't intimidated about any new situation/environment as long as there are toys!

It's a really nice daycare and I feel good about it. We will be okay on the cost too fortunately. It's just that I was hoping to have more money left out of my student loan but it looks like a lot of it will be going toward daycare costs. At least this happened the day that they mailed out my check. How convenient is that?

Oh, and the lady that is over this daycare used to work in the healthcare field and knew a lot about my major so she is a wealth of information on it and that was interesting as well. I am feeling very happy about the way this is working out. I figure as long as I am paying for full-time daycare anyway I can take advantage of it and take her up there when I don't have school some. That way I can study, do assignments, work out, clean the house, or whatever else is difficult these days with a toddler. It seems this has worked out much better than I had anticipated. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and good thoughts!

Oh, and if you all feel so inclined, will you please pray for a family in our area today. Their only child was diagnosed with cancer at 6 years old and would have been 10 this December. He just passed away. :( The couple had been dealing with fertility issues for years so he was considered their miracle child and now he is gone. They let school out early today in his memory.

justhat~ The funny thing is when I was posting about how dh's grandmother is I actually was thinking she sounded sort of like you described your mother!

Well, I'd better do this assignment and then it will be time to start getting ready to go visit with dh's family. And that means dh's sister as well so wish me luck with that! She is very difficult to be around sometimes. I love her kids though so I just grin and bear it through her snotty looks and snide comments. Oh, and she is the one that always wanted a girl and had 2 boys and still makes comments about how she wishes she would have had a girl (which I think is so great for her boys self-esteem, right?!). She is very jealous of us having Kylie and acts kind of weird toward Kylie and it really irritates me the way she treats her. Okay, anyway, mini rant over. I am really going this time. If I didn't type so fast I wouldn't write such long posts, lol!

Tahsa - I'm so happy the daycare situation worked out for you. It's funny how things like that happen. That story is so sad :guilty: . We had a sad story in our town today too. A man shot his wife and himself in front of their 6-year-old. My DH used to be very close friends with the man's sister-in-law until she moved to Maine a couple of years ago.

Alex is being so cute with Aidan today. Aidan gave Alex a big kiss and Alex is just a big mush now. He keeps giving Aidan snacks and drinks and he just put Aidan's annoying Elmo video on for him. Now, that's love  .

My mom had to come help me out with the kids' activities today. They overlap on Fridays and DH as usual couldn't say "no" when he was asked to fix someone's computer  . He is so quick to help all the people he works with, yet he would never think to go mow his parents' lawn for them or actually help me around the house. I told him he is forbidden from accepting any more sidework. They can call Geek Squad. Anyway, Aidan was a nightmare at karate. He took my coffe and whipped it and it just missed the lady sitting near me. She did not look amused. I had to take him outside and strap him in the stroller. I hate when he is bad when we're out and people give me that "look".

Tasha, that is wonderful that the daycare situation worked out so well! Yay! :woohoo: Hope you have 'fun' with the in-laws tonight!

Kim- Awwwww....what a nice big brother Alex is to Aidan. I love it when they act so sweetly to each other.

Justhat- I meant to say this in an earlier post, but I would LOVE any and all info you can gather on DLP when you go on your trip. Just the free brochures at the parks would be great, and posting your pictures! I keep glancing at the DLP board here, and often they pictures are of them and their family with characters- I'm wanting more pictures of the park, you know? We're not going until 2008, so you are definitely going before me. I think, as long as it works out with DH and my dad's schedules, we would ideally like to go in late April or May. July and August sound like weird times to visit France (from what I have read, a lot of Parisians go on holiday for the month of August so the city isn't quite the same). When the time comes, I might send you some money to get me one of the inexpensive paperback souvenir books or something like that.

Anyway, I picked the car up from the mechanic and it got an A grade, like I knew it would. He said he could see at one point some oil gasket had leaked, and that all Outbacks do that at one time or another. He said he saw it was fixed and I just looked at him like an idiot, cause I had no idea what he was talking about. I said, "The Subaru people must have fixed it automatically when I took it in for its 3,000 mile oil change" and he said, "I'm sure that's what happened, and it's no big deal at all."

So, the lady called and she wants to look at it tonight again with her friend, and then we will talk price and hopefully she will give us at least $500 to hold it for her til she comes back from out of town next week. I don't really want to go less than $14K and we listed it for just under 15....hopefully that won't be a problem.

Hope everyone has a pleasant evening!

I probably won't get a chance to post tomorrow because of our trip to NY and my cousin's party afterward, so...

Happy Birthday, Liam!!!
:dance3: party: :bday: :cake:

Tasha - I'm glad the daycare situation worked out for you. I hope Kylie will be happy at her new center. I'm sorry to hear about that boy in your town. How sad.

zalansky - I love those Disney perks. DH works for the company, too. That's the only reason we get to go to WDW so often.

bnb - Glad Celeste enjoyed her dance class. Also happy to hear Robert doesn't need his leg amputated. :lmao:

ginamarie - Congrats to your friend. I hope she has a healthy pregnancy.

tkyes - Sorry about Tyler at the club. I'm sure he forgives you!

llij - The party sounds great! Good luck with it.

DisKim - What a sad story. I hope the 6 year old will be okay after that trauma.

Alice - Woo hoo! Looks like the car sale is practically in the bag!

Have a good night, everyone. I'm breaking out in hives again from my allergies and I'm going to take some Benedryl. That'll knock me out cold. :faint:

You ladies are the BEST!!!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes for Liam. I still can't believe he's going to be 1 tomorrow!!!! :sunny: :)

I will post some pictures tomorrow of the highlights of the party.

Talk with you all soon.

YAY! Our car is sold! We have $500 in earnest money and she will pay us the remainder, $13,500, on October 2nd, when she is back from vacation. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Signed a contract and everything!

I can't believe we got $14,000 for our car which we paid $19,000 for 4 years ago! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay, I have my Word document opened and am going to attempt to somewhat catch up. I will probably still miss a lot as I am only going back a few pages and I know I’m much further behind than that. I apologize. I am so busy these days and am getting really bad at staying on top of this thread as much as I would like to.

First of all, HAPPY 1st B-DAY TO LIAM!!! I hope it’s a great one!!! :goodvibes

J & D~ Thank you so much for the links to the boots. I actually did buy Kylie a really cute pair of western/cowboy boots at Old Navy. They were a size 6 and 12-18 months and I didn’t think they looked all that big. When I tried them on her at home though they were huge! She definitely is nowhere near a size 6. By Old Navy’s sizing standards she could still wear a 3-6 month! However, she can walk in the boots okay and they are really cute so I figured I’ll just keep them since she only will wear them on Halloween (and we can always take them off if we need to) anyway. At the rate the girl grows she will just be getting into them this time next year. We may get a lot of use out of them when she’s 2. Thanks again though! :)

Robin~ I am sorry to hear about your friend’s dh. I will pray for them. Congrats on selling the car! That was really fast! :cheer2:

vettechick~ Congratulations! April is an awesome time of year weather-wise to have a baby. My dh’s b-day is April 16 and Kylie was born May 5, 2005, and they are great months to have outdoor parties and things like that. Oh, and my dd will be 17 months soon so I don’t think I qualify as a new mom anymore but I’m still here anyway! ;)

DisneyPhD~ Hey! How are you and the girls doing?

Nucpharm~ Have a great time on your trip!

Tamie~ I bet Tyler will be so cute as a lion! Have fun at the wedding!

DisKim~ I bet Aidan will be adorable as a lion too. It’s too funny about the size difference between him and Kylie. I bought her costume at Old Navy too (cowboy) and I bought a 12-18 months and it fits but if it were any bigger it would have been too big. And how wonderful that one of the parents gave you such high praise! A 2 hour job interview for your dh sounds promising. And how awful about the man that shot himself and his wife...esp. in front of their child! :(

GM~ Sorry to hear about the car incident and sorry to hear how much it will cost you!

BnBsMom~ Wow, you certainly stay busy with all of your kids’ activities! You are like super mom!

Ryan~ I love your fall tradition! I hope to start many traditions with Kylie too but I haven’t yet.

joats~ Oh, I can’t wait to see pics of Jace as a little disco man! How cute! I know I will be sure to post pics of Kylie in her costume and I am guessing all of the other proud mamas on here will too, lol! I can’t wait! I am glad your dh’s back is doing better. My dh wasn’t able to pick Kylie up for a little over 6 weeks due to his hernia and that was really hard for him. He was officially "allowed" to pick her up again on Sept. 11 and he took full advantage of it. She got to the point where she would look at him and tell him "NO!" when he tried to pick her up. Guess she had enough cuddle time with daddy! :teeth:

Jill~ Wow, you have a very busy weekend ahead of you! I hope it all goes great and you aren’t super stressed when it’s all over with! Happy b-day to Katie! Her party sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you are still doing well with school. I keep telling myself that graduation will be here before I know it but right now it seems so far away! Btw, Kylie is just in love with the pic in your signature. She saw it earlier and kept pointing out Mickey Mouse and Winnie the Pooh. She also kept smiling at the “dayday” in the picture. That would be “baby” in Kylie language. She seems to like "dayday" John!

fabumouse~ I hope Madeleine sleeps better for you tonight!

Justhat~ I can’t believe what you went through to take the kids home yesterday. I would have been calling the mom and apologizing and having her pick them up. And poor Madison and her acorn. Some parents really irk me when they think their kid’s own selfish wants/needs are more important than anything else.

GLT~ I hope you are feeling better today. Hormones or not, a good cry is sometimes such a great stress reliever. I have had many of those myself.

dizagain~ I hope Carson lets you get a good night’s sleep tonight as well!

SL~ You must have forgotten my story a while back about dh hacking his hair as well. Yes, never attempt to cut your own hair, lol! I bet it looks great now though. You must be getting so excited now that your trip is so close! In case I don’t get on here again before then, I hope it is wonderful and I hope Lucas really enjoys it!

vald~ I think you are leaving in the morning so you probably won’t see this but I hope you and your dh have a fantastic time and that the kids do as well!

Loretta~ The call center sounds like a great part-time gig. I hope your dh will come around to it soon!

ff~ I'm sorry to hear about all the things breaking and messing up at your home! I hope it doesn't end up costing a lot to fix them.

Gems~ Are you still taking names for the Christmas exchange? If you are dh said I could go ahead and do that one so just let me know. If it is too late, that's fine. If not, what info. do you need and what are the details?

Whew! I am sorry to anyone I didn’t mention. I only went back 4 pages and tried to get everyone from there. Hi to everyone else though!

Well, tonight went better than expected. My SIL actually acted somewhat normal for a change. Although dh said that she went and sat in his lap at one point. I didn’t see that but am I the only one that thinks that’s odd? Dh did too. I never go sit on my brother’s lap. :confused3

Anyway, her youngest son just turned 6 months old yesterday and he is already 20 lbs and 29.5 inches long! OMG! Kylie was only 20 lbs and 30 inches long at her 15 month check up. Her baby cousin is quite a chunky little thing but a very happy, sweet baby. Kylie isn’t sure what to think of him and seems a bit jealous. She had a fit when he grabbed her Chip and Dale animals and tried to chew on them. She kept staring him down all night but wouldn’t get too close. I am thinking it’s a good thing we didn’t decide to have another kid too soon as she certainly doesn’t seem ready for a sibling just yet. Not a problem anyway since I don’t want another one just yet either.

I was pretty sad to miss the premiere of Ghost Whisperer tonight too but all of my ILs are obsessed with Deal or No Deal and I mean OBSESSED! They were screaming, yelling, jumping up and down and just going nuts while they watched it tonight. Even my 5 year old nephew was doing that. It was hilarious. Dh and I were the misfits. No jumping up and down and screaming for us. We did exchange a few, "They are nuts!" looks though. And of course Kylie and the baby just looked at them like they had completely lost it! Their expressions were priceless! :rotfl:

Kylie also had a blast playing with this:

My MIL and FIL bought it and I have no idea why. I guess for the grandkids. Anyway, they took the weasel off of it and Kylie kept chasing the ball and trying to catch it and giggling like a mad woman. I am thinking I may order it for her for Christmas. I have also already ordered her the Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers Vol. 1 DVD set and a couple of Chip and Dale story books since she's so into Chip and Dale now. I am so proud that my girl is already into something Disneyfied! :thumbsup2

One last story and then I'm done, I promise! My BIL is an EMT and he told us that a 67 year old woman stabbed her 65 year old husband 8 times with a steak knife. The first stab was to his man part (I know I will get censored if I type the correct term.) After the 8th stab the man grabbed an iron skillet and knocked his wife out with it! Geez, we have a real life Jerry Springer couple in town. Nice. They are both recovering fine btw.

Well, I am so exhausted and really need to get to bed. Night!

Well this wekk has gone from bad to worse! I haven't been around much as on Monday I had to go to ER with tummy pains that felt like contractions :guilty: luckily it wasn't but I have another UTI which has caused me some grief! So I have been laid up with that for a few days, then On Thursday Shelby and I shared some fresh mango and got food poisoning from it! I am feeling better now and have stopped throwing up but shelby is still suffering. The Dr. said to carry on feeding her but that seems to be making it worse so I amgoing to starve her today and hope that it gets out of her system. She is drnking water ok but I am still worried, this is the first time that she has had something like this, she's gone extremley clingy and just wants to be cuddled and loved, poor honey!

So sorry I haven't replied to anyone in a while, will try to next week.
miss you guys!
