The Official New Mom Thread Part 2

I just got home after doing back to school shopping since 11am :faint: . It was horrible. Emmy and Alex would go from fighting to running all over the place. Even my mother scolded them and she never does that. Then, Emily had fits all throughout the mall because she didn't like anything and she kept complaining that she is too fat for the clothes they make for girls her age. I couldn't even get her to try anything on. Then, when it came time to buy her shoes, she would cry every time she put a shoe on and say it was too tight on her toes. I secretly gave her a size 9 to see if she was faking it. She was. She complained about those too and they were a full size bigger than what she normally wears. Then, she started crying that her token Disney blisters were hurting her. Then, she tripped and fell flat on her face in the middle of the mall. Oh, and let us not forget the fact that my grandmother disappeared. She is really fast when she has her walker. Luckily, she now has a cell phone so I was able to locate her. Aidan was actually really good all day so I bought him a beanbag chair. At least I was able to buy some back to school clothes for myself at NY&Co. I just love that store.

Well, Alex is sitting here talking my ear off so I'm going to put him to bed and hopefully hop back on and respond to everyone later.

Jill - John is so freaking cute!! I almost died when I saw those pictures. He looks like he has so much personality in that face. I saw that costume in Children's Place today.

I got Aidan a Jack Jack (Incredibles) costume. I'm not sure if I like it though. It has feet on it like an infant costume which I think is stupid. Also, he'll never wear the mask. I have no idea how I'm going to buy Emmy a costume when she doesn't fit in children's anymore and the adult costumes are too long.

Yep, that's the one! It's that price at Target too. I am debating to get it this weekend, or wait til the next payday on the 1st. I'm sitting here working out all the upcoming paydays and what needs to be paid when. According to my calculations, we seem to have an extra $500 a payday- something must be wrong! :rotfl: We used to barely eek by.

I also am delusional in my thoughts that MAYBE I will be the lucky winner of a $100 giftcard next week on Sunshine...I have enough to cash out for a $25 gift card to Target- what if I get the quadruple amount? I kind of want to wait and see if that happens, slim possibility that it is. I would love to only pay $30 out of my pocket for a PS2 console! :thumbsup2

And we should be able to clean up the Outback and put it on the market by the end of Sept. Buh-Bye AMEX once that happens! :wave2:

DisKim- I am SO SORRY Emmy had such a horrible time shopping for clothes. I have a few memories of that. Well, actually it was for prom dresses. Regular clothes fit me fine back then, but I have extremely broad shoulders and upper back....I remember being in tears because everything would zip up fine around the butt and waist, but once we got to my chest, forget it. Not even the 14s would go. :sad2: It's hard being a bigger girl sometimes! I'm glad you got some nice things for yourself! :goodvibes

Robin,

I like the Finding Nemo game. Both kids want the PS3 that comes out in November and have been doing chores to earn money for it. They don't ask for anything else besides books and they both do very well in school so we will probably get it.

:thumbsup2 Hope this helps.

But we will still be able to buy games for the PS2 once the PS3 comes out, right? I don't want to buy something that will be obsolete in a year; but I don't really want to pay more than $130 for a console either.

Robin,
The PS2 games go cheap after awhile. I've seen titles for 24.99 or less a lot at Walmart. My ds also plays Star Wars Battlefront. I don't mind those types of games where they are shooting but it is just characters like Star Wars. I just don't like the life-like simulated gun shooting games or the vulgar language in some of the T games. I think the PS2 is a good choice.

For my umpteenth post of the day..........

I totally agree. I am comfortable with just about ANYTHING Star Wars. We're kind of weirdos about it here. I am like that with the toys- I think in the last 3 years my kids have had about every kind of star wars toy made, and at one point I think there were 7 lightsabers on the porch.

But I hate the real life shoot em up games. Too violent.

I saw they had several games I think Josh would like too. The Nemo like FF mentioned, Narnia...

I just have to check in and say how ADORABLE John looks in his costume. I was eyeing up the costume's at Children's Place, but they looked a little young for Tyler. It's perfect on John, what a doll!

val - sorry Katrina is sick! I was just going to post on here that Tyler learned how to climb on our kitchen chairs (actually, DH taught him  ) and I found him sitting on the kitchen table today! I almost died!!!

diskim - I'm sorry you had such a bad shopping trip. Sounds like Emmy had a pretty bad day. I remember being a teenager (or preteen) and getting in a funk. Once you're in one, it takes quite a bit to get you out of it.

robin - Good luck with your console decision. My dad decided he wants one, I'm not really sure why. My guess is that he thinks it will be something fun to do with my husband and brother. My mom is getting him the PS3 when it comes out.

fabumouse - OMG! I would not want live in company that expected me to take care of them when I had a newborn! I feel for you!

glt - I hope your trip goes well!

We had some major storms here today. I drove home through a hail storm, not very much fun. It was golf ball size hail too. I took a few pictures, I'll have to show you guys. A couple of hours south of here they had softball size hail! It was 4" in diameter. I would have died! My Dad works near here and his new truck is covered in hail dents. Thank goodness for insurance.

Any big plans this weekend? Tomorrow night is another movie night in our backyard. We're watching Shrek.

Talk to you guys later.

Tamie

Awwww, Kim, I am so sorry to hear that you had a rough day shopping. :grouphug: You sound like you could use a nice glass of wine or something of that nature! As much as I love to shop, sometimes clothes shopping for the girls makes me want to have a nice stiff drink!

BTW, when Dave saw John's duck costume he wasn't too keen on it. He doesn't want his son dressed in a 'fruffi' costume. I told him to relax that this will be the only time I will get to put John in a cute Halloween costume like this. :teeth:

Robin - Good luck with the PS2 vs. game cube decision. :wizard: I'm so clueless about all of that stuff since we don't have any. My nephew loves his game cube and game boy and all that stuff so when we ever get it, I'll have him pick ours out. :teeth:

I'm glad to hear that your dad liked Molly's shirt! :thumbsup2

Val - I'm sorry to hear that Katrina is sick. I hope she feels better very soon.

Floridafam - How was the dinner tonight?

ETA: Tamie - I just saw your post. Holy Moly about the hail storms! How scary! Sorry to hear about the damage to your dad's car. Have a great time at the movie night!

Well ladies, I feel like I've been pms'ing all day today but I can't possibly pms anymore. I think my hormones are out of whack b/c I've been feeling pms'y and cranky. We are having company on Saturday for dinner so I've been trying to bake stuff in advance and it was a disaster baking tonight. The girls tried to help which was great, but we ended up ruining two desserts and I was such a crank with them. You should see my kitchen too. It looks like a flour and sugar bomb went off here. After tonight, it will be a miracle if the girls ever want to cook with me again. I need to relax and go to bed.

Good night ladies!! :wave2:

Valerie - thanks for the welcome and support! I know it's a generational thing, but how can he totally miss that everyone else in the house is either taking care of children or running around like crazy doing errands, making dinner, etc?? I do hope Katrina feels better soon. :guilty:

FF - my DD had terrible heartburn due to acid reflux, from birth. She was on Prilosec and Prevacid at different times and it made all the difference in the world. Maybe one of those could help your son?

Ginamarie - good luck with the house closing! That is so exciting.

Jill - I am LOVING john in that costume!!! That is just the cutest thing I've seen all week. :goodvibes

Robin - is the Hanna outlet in downtown Portland? We fly into PDX a few times a year to visit the IL's, but it's been a long time since we saw anything except the airport.

DisKim - I apologize, but I did crack a smile when you lost your grandmother. It made me envision a Monty Python skit with all these lost old people, wandering around the mall . . . wandering . . . wandering. With their cell phones going off. :teeth:

I promised DH I'd relieve him of baby duty at 10:00. :moped:

/
I have a question for those that do Sunshine and did the Blockbuster trial. How long did it take for you to get your credit? I did it a week ago and it still hasn't posted. I'm also waiting for about $10 more in shopping credits that I've done (including that darn Shoes.com one  ). It seems like my stuff always takes forever for some unknown reason and it's so frustrating. Once all my stuff comes through I should be very close to being able to cash out twice during the special time. I just want to know my exact numbers.

In case you can't tell, I think I have pms today too :rolleyes1 . It's just driving me nuts that my credits go through so slow :badpc: .

fabumouse,
I hope the baby duty went well :) .

Jill,
Sorry the baking went awry. I always thought that you can still get the pms symptoms even after a hysterectomy since you still have your ovaries.

Tamie,
Have fun at the movie night.

Robin,
We have everything imaginable from Star Wars here too. It's not my cup of tea personally but dh and ds love it.

Diskim,
Sorry you had such a trying day at the mall. I feel bad the Emmy is having such a tough time finding clothes she likes :(. She's a beautiful girl. How would she do with some of the clothes in the junior's department?

FF,
I think that's great that your kids are earning the money for their new PS3. It's teaching them a valuable lesson. I should do that more often with ds.

I was very disappointed with the new HOH winner tonight  . Not looking forward to finding out who will be evicted next.

I think I've bored everyone enough with my insessant posting tonight so I'll call it a night. I'm exhausted since I didn't sleep well at all last night. Have a good night all :wave2: .

joats- Hope Jace's appt went well today.

bellacam- Cute photos of Aidan. Congrats on your DH's leave.

floridafam- Good luck with your auction.

SL- Glad Lucas is feeling better.

BnBM- Have a great trip!

GLT- Have a safe drive to Ohio!

Ginamarie- Good luck with the baptism.

fabumouse- Hope Madeleine sleeps well again tonight. Sorry your FIL isn't helping out more.

Valerie- So glad that you are liking your job. There was a lady at Target doing the Jazz demo on Sunday, and I thought of you. That stuff was nasty, IMO. Congrats on the tips. Too bad you had my name in the last exchange. I was happy with tonight's BB eviction. I am sick of Booger as well. I think Will might deserve to win again. Hope Katrina feels better soon.

Jill- So sorry you dropped the dishes. John looks adorable in the duck costume. What about the Mickey costume? Jenna is doing well. Thanks for asking. She never really acted sick. It was just the lingering cough that concerned me. Glad you are feeling great.

Tamie- Sorry you had to drive through the hail storm. Glad your car wasn't damaged. We had a huge hail storm 2 weeks after Jenna was born. My DH had gone out to get us Subway sandwiches, and my car was parked outside, so both of our cars got damaged.

DisKim- Sorry you had a rough day of shopping. That is great that you bought some things for yourself.

Robin- Glad your parents made it home safely.

justhat- Can't believe Henry actually goes to bed at night, especially at 3 weeks old.

Loretta- Glad Connor is doing well at school. Good luck to your DH.

ryan- Congrats on the successful move. Glad to hear that your grandma is doing well.

Gems- Good luck picking out names. I suggest Richie. He could be Richie Rich. :teeth: Did they air that cartoon in England?

lissawynn- How have you been feeling this week since you've gone back to work?

Hi to Hillbeans and nucpharm and all other DIS moms!

TTFN!

Val, for me Blockbuster went through in just a few days. I would email them and ask what is up. Usually when I very politely ask, the problem gets solved in a few days.

Fabumouse- the Hanna outlet is in Lake Oswego, a bit south of Portland. (no far at all). Could your FIL at LEAST go out and get you guys lunch or dinner? I would straight out ask that. At least that means you won't have to cook, etc.

Tamie- yikes o rama about the hail! I hope your dad's truck doesn't have too much damage.

Z- JD's post reminded me- what kind of position is it at Disney your DH may apply for? Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

Jill- I have been crank with my kids more times than I care to admit. I hope when they're adults they won't remember those moments. :rolleyes1 I sure hope your PMS moments subside- are your ovaries working overtime, or are confused or something? I hope that doesn't sound stupid, but that's just so frustrating for you, I'm sure.

I am watching BB right now and Boogie just grosses me out. I think he's like a weasel. Blech! Blech! Blech! I just do not like him at all. In fact, most of the houseguests are just giving me the heebies; I don't like Erika, Danielle, Boogie and James at all right now. Danielle just needs to chill out! Erika needs to gain about 20 pounds.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Jill - LOVE LOVE the costume photos.

Night all! See you in a week, I am sure I'll go through DIS withdrawal!

GLT - Have a great trip! I hope the kids are good in the car for you :wizard: :wizard: .

Val - I was trying to encourage Emmy to try the Junior's department but she flat out refused. I can't say I blame her. Her problem is that the clothes that are out (even for children) are not flattering and most of them are downright ugly. It's hard to find normal clothes. I think I'm going to try to get her a few things from Land's End.

Fabumouse - I thought my grandmother was pretty funny too. I finally found her and I probably had steam coming out of my ears from dealing with my kids and she was all happy because she found some bargains while she was lost. BTW, it would drive me crazy if my FIL acted like that too.

I think I forgot to mention on top of everything else last night, we were locked out of the house. I had forgotten to put my house key back on my key chain after getting it back from my neighbor. Luckily, I had a key on my key ring and had no idea what it was for. It turned out it was the back door. I got really pi$$ed at DH though. He was at work and I tried to call him to tell him we were locked out and he ignored my call. I nearly tore his head off when he got home. I would have been stuck with no place to go for 2 hours if I hadn't managed to get in.

Well, I am happy to say I have no plans this weekend. I really need a weekend like that. I'm still trying to finish putting away the laundry from the trip. I really just need some time to clean up this house. Emmy and Alex were so bad yesterday that I told them that we are not doing anything else this summer. I cancelled Sesame Place on them. I really don't have the money to go anyway. I really need to get back to work and earn a paycheck.

Morning, all!

We had an impromptu dinner last night for my friend at work. A couple old friends who used to work at the office showed up. We had a great time.

Alice28 - FWIW, DH has a PS2 and he loves it. It can also double as a DVD player.

DisKim - Sorry your shopping trip was the day from hell. I hope you can find some cute clothes that fit Emily.

fabumouse - If my FIL was doing that, I'd be so mad. I would probably have DH uninvite him at that point. Go stay at a hotel if all you're doing is creating more work.

llij - I can't believe all your new dishes broke! I hope they can be replaced. John looks adorable in his costume. I don't think it's too foofy - he's just a baby!

glt - Have a great trip!

J&D - I was looking at that Jazz stuff at Target and decided it sounded gross. Thanks for trying it so I don't have to! :teeth:

tkyes - Glad you missed that monster hail. No weekend plans for us except dinner out with DH's sister on Saturday. DH has a stag party tonight so I'm hoping to take Lucas to the mall.

BnB - Good luck with all the last minute packing. I always panic on the way to the airport, sure that I've forgotten something. I hope everything goes smoothly for you!

ginamarie - Good luck with the baptism this weekend!

val - Glad to hear your job is going so well. That's great about the tips, too!

Hope everyone has a great day. :sunny:

Good morning all! I figured I'd post while I have a few minutes--sure, now Luke sleeps! God forbid that he do it last night... Anyway, I still have to pack, make a post office run, the inevitable last minute Wal-Mart run, and make the house at least respectable. And do laundry. Ooh, vacation is so much fun! I'm a little PO'd that the school never called back about getting Jocelyn in to get her locker combination and find her classroom. She's starting middle school--don't they realize how important these things are to a kid?

Okay, rant over, I'll save it for when I get back from the week with my MIL.

Robin--I'm so with you on Booger being a weasel on BB. He thinks he's such a player! And of course, Will is playing him like he plays everyone, right now he serves a function for Will, that's it. I think Will would only have him in the final two if he felt Booger was more beatable than whoever else might be there. I hope Janelle survives another week--you'll have to pm me what happens. As it happens we're doing Illuminations, Fantasmic, and Wishes, respectively, on the next 3 BB nights--what was I thinking?

Oh--We have a PS2, and Robert (9) lives for it. When I look at the teen games, I look to see if it's complicated or violent--he has no problem with complicated (or violent, bu tI do!). He LOVES the Star Wars Battlefront II game. It's complex, but it amazes me how the same kid who can never remember how to put a book in the bookcase can master it so easily! He also loves Ace Combat 5--another teen game, due to complexity. DH is a pilot (in his spare time) and says it's better than the simulators he learned on 20 years ago! We have a couple fun games, like Shrek, but Robert seems to really prefer the combat games.
Jill--John is just too cute for words in the duck costume! Definitely save that one to embarress him with when he's older. Sorry about the dishes--I like Pfaltzgraf, too, and I'm sur ethey weren't cheap, even from the outlet.

Kim--I don't have issues with Jocelyn and clothes, but she's small and skinny, so easier to fit. Also easier to keep her in "acceptable to Mom" clothes--if you do go to juniors or teen type clothes, the styles are sometimes very inappropriate. I do like Lands End (Hanna, too--this is why I shop second hand!). What might help is if you have Emmy look through catalogs and show you what she likes--it might give you better ideas of what and where to shop.

glt--Good luck on your Ohio trip. Maybe we can meet up and ditch my MIL with your kids. On second thought, maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea.

I have to run, I've been spotted by a toddler! Time to duck into the bathroom! Seriously, everyone have a great week.

Hi all,
I did the Pepsi Jazz demo last weekend too. I thought both flavors were nasty. Someone described it like drinking a lolipop and that is just how it tasted. I'm glad I tried it for free.

SL,
I'm glad you had a fun going away dinner at work. Sounds like all of you there could use a fun evening out with all the stress from the move of offices, etc. .

Diskim,
I would have taken dh's head off too if he had done that. He does ignore my calls once in a while and it drives me nuts.

GLT,
See you in a week :wave2: .

Robin,
The BB guests are really starting to bug me too (at least the ones you named). Erika and Boogie are my two picks for most annoying right now. Unfortunately I guess they are both staying for at least another week. I'm sure we will be treated to some more nasty make-outs in the HOH room too  .

J&D,
Sorry since I had you in the last exchange I guess you won't be getting the goodies from work this time ;) . I'm glad to hear Jenna is feeling better.

Tamie,
I forgot to say LOL at Tyler climbing onto the kitchen table :rotfl2: . He and Katie would make quite the pair. I love the look of accomplishment they get on their face when they succeed in these climbing missions :teeth: .

Well, AF decided to show up full force last night  . I knew she was ready to make an appearance but I could have lived with waiting a few days more. I guess next month she'll be dropping in right in time to ruin my vacation :sad2: . How annoying.

Katrina is still a bit warm this morning and congested. I doped her up on some more tylenol and she seems to be feeling better with that. She drank her morning bottle and managed to strip naked while I was getting dressed so I guess she can't feel too bad  .

I need to go and get ready for work. TTYL :wave2: .

ETA: Have a great trip, BnB  !

BNB - Have a great trip! You must be overwhelmed with packing for so many. I can't believe the school didn't get back to you. That's just terrible.

I have been too busy to watch tv lately. I'm glad I can pick up on what is going on on BB here. I only watch it once in a while anyway. I usually turn around and it is 10 pm and I'm still running around.

Val - I hope Katrina feels better today.

OK, I better tackle this house. I'm goofing off right now because I don't want to do it.

Good morning everyone! :sunny:

My parents came over and took the girls to the Spy Museum in DC today so it is John and me for today. I was supposed to go too, but John is starting to get a cold and I thought it would be better if he had a chance to have some good nap time today. I also need to clean the house and attempt at some more cooking for tomorrow night's dinner. Ugh.

J&D - I still have the Mickey Mouse costume for John and will use it as well as the duck costume. Since John's birthday is a few days before Halloween, I will probably do a Mickey themed party and have him wear the costume then. :teeth: Is Katrina's cough any better? I'm glad that she wasn't feeling too bad for you.

GLT - Have a great trip! :wizard:

BNBmom - Good luck getting all of that last minute packing done. :wizard: When does Jocelyn start school? That is a pain that the school never called back.

DisKim - I'm with you on the frustration of girls clothes out there. Either the style is way too 'adult' or the fit just isn't right. Katie is a solid kid and we always have issues finding pants that fit right. The only place I've had good luck with lately is Old Navy.

SL - That is great that you got to go out with friends last night. It is always nice to get out for a bit. :goodvibes

Val - Sorry to hear AF showed up in full force for you. Ick. You are right though, b/c my ovaries are still there then I could still get the pms symptoms. How fun. :rolleyes1 I hope that Katrina feels better soon! :grouphug: Good luck at work today.

Robin - What you said didn't sound stupid at all. I think my ovaries are confused at the moment and it is making me crazy. It is nice to know that I am not alone in my cranky mom moments. Thanks for making me feel better. :goodvibes

Fabumouse - How did Madeleine sleep last night?

Well, I better run and clean up the house a bit while I have a chance. I also need to study, but have managed to avoid doing that successfully for over a week now. I hope that Tasha is enjoying school! :teacher:

Talk to you all later! :wave2:

Hi mommies!

Zalansky – We had Aidan’s pics done at the picture people. I have never gone anywhere else. They have always done a great job.

Robin – I don’t think I am having another baby shower before the baby comes. I have everything left over from Aidan if it’s another boy, and if it’s a girl, my sisters will plan a “sprinkle” after the birth. We usually do that in my family for second babies of a different gender or babies born some time apart. Since we are not finding out what we are having, we’ll have to see. Oh yeah, my DH recommends the PS2!

Jill – What great pictures. I’m sorry you got sick from the restaurant. I really wanted to eat there when we were in DL in March, but it was closed. You guys look great, btw! I just love John’s duckie costume! Have fun baking.

Justhat – OMG! I just read about the woman working on her 8th. Honestly, I’d have as many as I could “heart wise”, but reality (and shoe, and clothes and diaper) wise says two is enough!!! Henry seems to be a really good baby for you.

Diskim – Glad you car situation worked out ok. Both dh’s car and my truck need break work. I am dreading that bill for sure! Sorry shopping didn’t go so well.

SL – I’m happy to read Lucas’s rash is clearing. I had to tell you, he and my lab are on the same exact meds. Harley caught “Duck itch” at the lake last month and has been on Benedryl and Prednisone for a month trying to clear it up! Too funny. Glad you had a good time last night at dinner.

FF – I have had both asthma and heartburn since I was about six. I was on a prescription for the hb for a while but it seemed to get better as an adult. Until I decided to stay pregnant these last two years that is! Is your ds on any meds for the HB?

BNB – I hope you have a wonderful vacation!!! I cannot believe your DH’s company treated him that way when you mom passed! On top of everything else, I am sure that was the last thing you needed to deal with. My husband works for Bank of America and they have been a very generous and family oriented company. They bought MBNA, the company he’s been with for 11 years last year and we were worried things would change drastically, but so far so good.

GLT – Have fun on you getaway!!!

Ginamarie – Glad everything is going smoothly for the baptism and with the closing.

Fabumouse – My MIL was a lot like your FIL after Aidan was born. SHE came to visit for the day when Aidan was 2 weeks old and couldn’t understand why dh wouldn’t leave Aidan and I at home alone to go out to dinner with her.

Vald – Glad the job is going well and I hope Katrina is feeling better soon.

Tamie – Movie night sounds like fun. I can’t wait till my kid(s) can enjoy stuff like that!

Hi to all the other Mommies!!!

Tonight is date night for dh and I and cant wait. We are going out for steak and I have such a craving for a big juicy one, I can’t stand it! We are supposed to go see Talladega Nights, too. Should be fun. Speaking of fun, dh surprised me yesterday with tickets to go see Rascal Flatts and Gary Allan in a few weeks. :woohoo: Tickets sold out so fast I couldn’t get them in time but he got three for me and my sister and cousin thru Amex gold card events. He has been so wonderful lately, he’s probably priming me to tell me he’s going away on business for a month soon! :faint: We finaly decided on baby names too. We are so corny, since We have Alan(dh) and Aidan, we are going with B names to go with Bridget, so its Brady Alan for a boy and Bailey Renee for a girl. PS, I think its a princess:!

Hope you all have a great day!

Hi Mommies,

I hope everyone is having a great Friday!!!!

FYI-Amazon.com always has a Friday sale and they have some Huggies on sale on the last page. They are around $27 for 92 diapers. I believe you can use the code grocery2 for $10 off a $50 grocery order (diapers qualify as grocery.)

Thanks to everyon for the thoughts on DS heartburn. We never realized he had it until he started having trouble falling asleep one night and described symptoms of hb. We didn't think a 7 yr old at the time could have trouble. His Dr. said it is very common with asthma patients.

We do have a prescription for Prilosec. I just felt weird having a child on Prilosec. The pharmacist had to do something like mix it on his own or something and I just felt weird about it.

I did give him some milk of magnesia the other night and that seemed to help.

He has an appt. with his asthma Dr. next week so we will go over it with him and get him started on something that he can take as needed. I just don't want him to have any long term problems. My Dad had acid reflux so bad that it started to close his esophogus and he to have surgery and have it re-routed or something.

bellacam,

I love the idea of having a "sprinkle" for the 2nd baby. I've never heard of that. What a great idea.

Have fun on your date night. I LOVE The names you have picked out. :thumbsup2

jill,
Enjoy your day home with John. I hope he's not sick. He looks so cute in his costume. Kona saw his picture and she was smiling and laughing.

Good luck with your studying. :sunny:

tkyes,
Sorry about the hail storm. I saw on the news that you had some awful weather up that way. I'm glad everyone is safe.

DisKim,

What stores does Emmy like? I know what you mean about so many of the girl's clothes being ugly. Does she like GapKids?

I hate it when I'm trying to call DH for something and he ignores my call. UGH! I'm glad you found a key.

Robin,

They have some nice PS2 games in the outlet section of amazon.
I'm waiting to see how much I get for my stroller on ebay before I do any more shopping. I think I'm going to list DD's Barbie Train tonight and see if that gets me some decent money. At least there's not a darn thing I want from Gymbo this time. No gymbucks for me.

I forgot to ask what your Dad's response was to Molly's shirt at the airport the other night?

Kona and I are cleaning today. I'm making stir fry for dinner and we all get haircuts tomorrow. Sunday we are going to drive up the coast and try and see the space shuttle launch.

:wave2:

I hope everyone is having a great train.

floridafam - Thanks for the heads up on the diapers :thumbsup2 . I already ordered some. I was so happy they actually had size 6. I tried Gap kids yesterday. Nothing looked good. They make the shirts with that stretchy material that sucks to the kids' body. It doesn't look good when you have excess around the middle. All their shirts were like that. I'm going to buy a bunch of stuff in Juniors and just bring it home to try on. I think she can fit into a size 10 or 12.

Bellacam - I love the names you picked out!
