Loved Nancy Drew books as a kid and now DD loves her computer games.

I've had it in the back of my mind for years that I want to get the entire series of books. The old ones.

I was happy to see that dd7 (2nd grade) just borrowed a Nancy Drew book from her school library. So far she hasn't been much of a reader so I hope she finds some books that interest her - we have LOTS of books at home!

I probably have 50 of the hard back books from when I was younger. Everyone in the family would buy them for me for Christmas/birthdays. Some of them are on DD's AR reading list but not all of them. Does anyone remember when Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys was a series on TV?

LOVE the games. I've played them all. I've read some of the books too.

Ditto - even though they are getting shorter and shorter I still enjoy them. I played Creature of Kapu Cave in less than 4 hours.

Does anyone remember when Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys was a series on TV?

YES!!! I wish they would try it again! There's very little on at night that a whole family can sit down and enjoy together.

I LOVED Nancy Drew when I was younger. Read all the old ones and a lot of the newer series when I was younger as well.

I loved Nancy Drew books when I was younger!! My DD (9) and I were in Barnes and Noble the other day and I saw an entire section devoted to Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys; I tried to see if my DD would be interested in them, but she selected the Magic Treehouse books instead (which is fine!!). I'm hoping someday she'll be as enthralled with Nancy Drew books as I was when I was a kid
