***The Official May 2025 Thread!***

Just read something and giving a timely reminder for everyone traveling starting this Wednesday:

Be sure to give yourself plenty of extra time getting to the airport on your departure and arrival days if you're flying. Air travel is likely to be very painful starting this week with the Real ID enforcement finally beginning, between infrequent travelers getting caught off guard and rogue TSA agents not recognizing or accepting legitimate IDs. MCO in particular has me worried given the high number of infrequent fliers there. We may end up cutting our last day shorter than usual despite having Pre.

FL weather forecasts are more like suggestions most of the time tbh.

This is really not to sound dismissive but this sort of thing is why it's really not worth upsetting yourself over forecasts ahead of time. FL weather is just too unpredictable to forecast with any real accuracy outside of very specific circumstances like hurricanes. This time of year especially. Even when you're there on property, you also get the weird situations where there could be a torrential downpour happening at MK but at Epcot or AK there's not a cloud in the sky.

(I hope you are having fun!!)
I agree 100%. (We are having a blast!)

So I’m trying to purchase MPLL for 5/13-5/20 and system is not showing dates past May 15th🙆🏻‍♀️

We’ve been in August a few times. We just learned to ignore the weather unless there’s a particular storm coming through. I’ve been there when they call for rain each day and we lucked out and never got rained on.
This would be a dream if it didnt end up raining! Lol

Oh no!! Hoping its working for you now??
Nope☹️
I’ve refreshed and tried restarting but can’t get past May 17th calendar on screen simply ends with that Sat 5/17

Update I powered off and restarted again and this time it worked only now I’ve selected a tier 1 and 1 tier 2 and it won’t let me select a 3rd choice🙆🏻‍♀️. Not like this is going my first rodeo I’ve selected LL choices several trips now so not sure what’s going on here.

Finally got everything working but still not sure what happened ….

Oh it rained! lol. We just happened to “miss” it. We’d get out of a meal or ride and see that it poured. We’d take a midday break and it would pour while we were resting. It would pour at Epcot but we were in MK.

We’ve had trips where we had to deal with the rain. We put the ponchos on and keep it moving.

I did our LL this morning for 5/13-5/21. Out of our 9 park days we did LLMP 4 days and one LLSP for Guardians. It went well. I didn’t get times as early as I wanted for Tiana on 5/14 and Slinky on 5/16.

Tiana I got for 5 pm but it works since that’s when we return from our midday break before EEH. I was hoping for something closer to noon so we could ride it before we leave the park.

I got Slinky for 12 pm but was hoping for a bit earlier. 10-11 to do right after TSM. It’s fine though. It’ll work.

I will fiddle faddle a bit the morning of and see if I can get earlier times for those two.

Ah well I suppose rain at Disney is better than not being at Disney! Lol
This is very true, it just sucks that my anxiety is trying to pre-ruin my trip. I know I'm going to have a fabulous time no matter what because I'm in my happy place with my sister! But some sunshine after days and days of grey would be good. Maybe I should pack my happy light...

I have a touring plans subscription and I just peaked on the chat portion and read some of the thread on LL strategies. It’s so tempting to fall down that rabbit hole of trying to get the most bang for your buck but I really want to go and just enjoy my time. Of course I want to get the LL I want but all these tricks and stuff just feels like it would eat up too much of my time mentally and physically being on my fine. So I need to talk myself off the ledge because it’s really not how I want to spend my vacation.

I can also be a bit more laid back this trip since I know I will be going back several times this year to visit DD in the dcp. So no need to go nuts with the LL strategies.

Ah, the perennial struggle: do all the things! or, take your time and actually enjoy *everything* about the Disney parks, not just the rides. We are aiming for a slower touring strategy this trip too - it will be good practice for the next trip with my daughter, her first without a stroller.

I agree, especially since I’ve been looking at Disney weather all Spring and its been GORGEOUS and now our week looks…wet!

The weather is looking to be into the mid 90s when we go. I was hoping for a bit cooler temps.

Animal Kingdom Jambo, May 19-24 and
Old Key West, May 24-28

So excited! Also hoping for some below 90s days!

Got a Touring Plans alert that park hours got extended at AK and HS 5/26-5/31. HS is going to a 10pm closing time the whole week and AK is going to 7pm except the 31st is 8pm. I really hope this means we’ll get two Fantasmic showings past Memorial Day weekend! May have to rethink our strategy if that’s the case. Right now we have a dining package for lunch at Sci-Fi on 5/27. I would drop it and just go to the second show since we have Oga’s at 9:45.
