Last minute trip May 12-15, staying at Coronado for the first time. We couldn't beat the price and the 3 day pass for DH. I bought an AP for a long trip in January. We are doing MK after hours too.

FW Cabins May 7-13. I am planning to book LLMP for May 7 and May 12 tomorrow morning bright and early at 4am. We are going for cheer but have 2 park days and 1 EAH night.
:welcome:all to the thread! You're all on the list!

Officially hopping in here! We'll be staying at AKL Jambo House from May 20-23 before transitioning to Universal for Epic Universe! Also celebrating my birthday while we're there. :)

May 10 to 18 staying at my home-away-from-home POP Century. My 60 days opened up this week and I was able to get breakfast at Topolino's and book the Rhino tour, two things I've been wanting to do for several trips.
:welcome:to the thread! You're both added to the list!

Anybody else struggle with anxiety? The weather for our trip was looking amazing, but as we move closer, almost everyday is showing rain and storms 😟 I don't want my first vacation with my sister to be a total wash out.

Nope because tbh unless you’re within 7-10 days forecasts are wildly unreliable. Even then, it’s Florida. You just never know what it’s going to do.

At the end of the day, weather is going to weather regardless. I’ve never let it stop me from having a good time. As long as I’m not cold, I’m good. 😂 I tend to prefer rainy days at the parks because they scare normies away. We actually made a friend in a downpour at Epcot last time waiting in the line for Sheila E’s Eat to the Beat concert. This poor lady in front of us didn’t have any rain gear and I offered my umbrella since we had our rain jackets. We ended up chatting for ages and it turned out she grew up in my neighborhood!

Our home forecast shows more rain for next week than Orlando & at least we’ll be at Disney! 🤣

But this is why I didn’t pay extra for a Fantasmic package — I’d hate to pay extra for the experience only to have it rain.

3 more days!!! ✈️

I think purchasing lightning lanes ahead of time is a contributing factor to my concern. I much preferred Genie+ where you purchased same day. I don't like feeling "locked in" to a plan ahead of time, not knowing what the weather will be.

Just plan for rain and you will be fine!

I agree with this added layer of concern. My 7 day window opens Monday and I have seen the rainy forecast too. I have decided to hold off on our animal kingdom LLs since that’s a day I could move to a different day and it seems AK LLs aren’t as necessary or hard to get anyhow. It is tough to have to be locked in a week in advance.

I feel the same way. Obviously like everyones saying plan for rain ect but we are coming off a really bad winter (still pretty chilly here even tho its been getting into the 60s finally the windchill is brutal) and we are craving sunshine for our trip. We havent been to Disney in years and won’t be back for many more. So its a little upsetting to see all the rain, but Im hopeful that it’ll clear or atleast not be wash outs! And perhaps the parks will be even less crowded. I’m just grateful to be going (5 days to go!) but like you I am feeling sad by the rainy forecast.

Thanks for the validation 🩷 I hope for both of us the weather is better than forecasted. It has been very rainy where I live for several days now, so I think the lack of sunshine is really getting to me.

If it’s any consolation we’re here now. Yesterday was predicted to be a rainy day. We went to Epcot in raincoats and tevas. It poured while we were on living with the land. We grabbed a snack while it rained. The skies cleared and it was sunny the remainder of the day. Hopefully next week the showers pass as quickly.

FL weather forecasts are more like suggestions most of the time tbh.

This is really not to sound dismissive but this sort of thing is why it's really not worth upsetting yourself over forecasts ahead of time. FL weather is just too unpredictable to forecast with any real accuracy outside of very specific circumstances like hurricanes. This time of year especially. Even when you're there on property, you also get the weird situations where there could be a torrential downpour happening at MK but at Epcot or AK there's not a cloud in the sky.

(I hope you are having fun!!)
