***the official may 2013 thread***

I put my box in the closet to stat dropping stuff in to take with us. The kids still dont know that we are going ANYWHERE this summer :cool1: So I decided to get on the ball and get started since the days are going to start going fast with a crazy schedule from now until the end of the school year.

I attempted to find a make a wish organization for adults to try to get a wish granted for my mom, we just found out that she as at most 1 year to live due to a aggressive form of lung cancer, but no luck they are just not out there.

Having been touched my cancer in my own family, I did a quick search this morning and found a list of organizations on cancer.net. I'm not sure if either of the following groups would fit for your Mom and your family, but I noted these 2 as possibilities:

www.dreamfoundation.org

www.nevertoolate.org (ages 65+)

Blessings to you all.

I just keep thinking it will be warm in Florida. I live in upstate NY, and I feel like we don't have spring, winter directly to summer. Unfortunately it is winter until Mayish.

We are going May 4-11. not staying on site this time as we are taking advantage of the timeshare. This will be our second trip with our DD3. A little worried about staying off site as we had so much fun on our first trip.

We are going soon! May 5th - 15th. Were staying off site as run out of dvc points. But we Bottled it and now staying at AKV rented points from somebody else... What are we like! We keep singing...it's the circle of life..... Deep joy. :-)

Count us in !! We are going May 10th - 18th staying at All Star Music (this was a REAL cheap trip ;) )

It will be myself and my 8yr old twin boys, Jesse and Jayden
My dd, Jillianne and her husband and Disney first timer, David and their children 5 yr old ds Maddox and 15 month old dd Caddigan.
Maddox has only been to Disneyland and is sure he doesn't want to go to WDW (weird kid) but little does he know on his 6th birthday he is going to WDW .. like it or NOT !! :rotfl:

LOL...my half brother went to WDW when he was 8 and he HATED it...again...weird kid. The 15 month DD is going to have a blast! We've taken each of our kids when they're just over a year old and it's an amazing trip. Just gotta go at their pace.

I'm so excited to be able to see my baby granddaughters first time in Disney !! She just learned to walk and is saying a few words .. so she's going to love it.
The 5 year old LOVED Disneyland (we went in October) but he was so anxious he actually fainted at the airport .. so i think he just remembers that.
This will be my twins 10th Disney trip .. they are huge fans .. but have no idea I have this trip planned !! So it will be their first surprise trip .. SO excited i can barely contain myself .. :lmao:

45 days! Just paid off the balance and am ready to go now, especially with all this white crap on the ground!:beach:

Excellent!!! We're always looking for new WDW converts...be careful though...it's very hard going back :thumbsup2

My boyfriend and I have planned out first Disney trip in our adulthood! Neither of us have been since we were very little, but this year we are 23 and 24 year olds with no children and thought Disney World would be a perfect trip for us. I may have pouted a little bit to convince him :) Nonetheless we will be staying at the BC May 18-23 celebrating our two year (dating, not married!) anniversary!I believe we are there on the last day of the flower and garden festival, what should we look for? We couldn't be more excited!!

We were supposed to originally go from may 20- June 2nd at POR but we switched it to may 19th to June 2nd at POFQ. Can't wait!!!

I'm so ready to be on vacation. We changed our check in day to the 15th from the 16th, so instead of flying in early we will be arriving in the evening. I think it will be easier on the kids vs. getting them up at 4 in the morning. We're also not telling them about the extra day until the day of, my husband is going to pick dd5 up from preschool and tell her to hurry up and eat lunch so we can catch our plane. :)

WELCOME TO THE DISBOARDS!!!!!

You'll find a wealth of knowledge on here. DW and I were 23 & 24, respectively, on our first trip in 2006 without kids AND in May. Probably our favorite time to go.

I believe the weekend of May 18/19 is a Star Wars weekend at the Studios so that may be worth checking out if that's up your alley. F&G Festival at Epcot is pretty impressive; the topiary's are amazing! In terms of what to look for...nothing specific really...just take in all of the different sights and make sure you spend some time in World Showcase.
