***the official may 2013 thread***

ADRs for us need to be made on 11/23... I'm so excited I can't stand it!
We haven't booked our package yet... Still waiting for MAYBE a discount or something to come out in the next 2 weeks. :worship: We plan to book through Disney around 11/19! Airfare has already been booked! Good luck to everyone who is currently making ADRs. Hope you get all the ones you want!

Made our ADRs this week! WOO HOO!! Very excited to try BOG :) Anyone know how far out you can book Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party? Looks like you can book for April but not May. Is this offered through out the year? Good luck everyone with ADRs!! It's getting closer and more and more real!! :) :)

I too am very excited about BOG. It looks amazing!

I've not booked the Dessert party before but from what I've heard they only take reservations about two months in advance and the dates can be released at any time so you have to keep checking.

I have just booked the first ten days worth of ADR's. Couldn't get the time I wanted for CRT though despite that being for the 16th May (the +10) day. What are the opening times for dinner? The earliest I could get was 6.50pm.

We are thinking about going in late May, but I'm scared of possible crowds the week after Memorial Day...can anyone give me an idea of how crowded it might be that week after Memorial Day? We are looking at 5/28-6/1?? TIA!

We are going 5/28-6/7, because we were told by some friends who frequently travel during this time that it is the best week to go! The kids in Florida do not get out of school until June 5th or 6th, so the Tuesday after Memorial Day will not be that busy. Of course, Disney is always busy, but you will not see crowds this week like you would if you waited until later in the summer. We had our choice between October and this week, and we chose this week! If you look at most crowd calendars, this week is lower crowd wise than any other in June. We are not worried, as last time we went in July - never again! Looking forward to the lower crowds! :) Good luck! EasyWDW.com and dadsguidetowdw.com have some good calendars to give you a better idea.

I would love to join this board if you will have me. Besides, my family is getting tired of me talking about our trip so why not share my excitement w/ others who appreciate it...:rotfl:. I've paid our deposit and we will be staying in the POR in the RR since we have a princess of out own from May 19th-May 23rd possible the 24th. We will be driving from Memphis in one straight shot. Tagging along will be myself, Anisha, my DH, RJ, DD8, Angela who will be 9 by the time of the trip and my DMIL and DFIL. I won't be able to make ADR's until the 21st and I've been counting down everyday :hyper:! So far I have:

5/19-arrival, tour DTD, the Resort grounds and just being happy we're here. Dinner @ Coral Reef and walk around Epcot for a bit and head to bed early for RD the next day.
5/20-Via Napoli for dinner and will spend our day here in Epcot
5/21- Crystal Palace for both breakfast and dinner ( plan on making RD and possibly taking a break and coming back for dinner and Wishes since this will be our MK day.
5/22- T-Rex for dinner another MK day.
5/23- Check out and head home!

This will our family's first WDW vacation and I want to make the most of it. I'm welcome to any suggestions, ideas...oh, let's face it I'm so excited I'd do cartwheels if you told me it would get us there faster :lmao: This website has been so helpful w/ my planning and I can't wait to get there and experience all things Disney. I'm really thinking about doing a PTR for I love reading them. Well, I'm done w/ my excitement, for now, and can't wait to make new DIS friends here. Happy countdown for us all.

We are super excited too!!! I called Disney to get some information and she loved how excited I was! Haha we (dd dh and myself) we be there may 14-19 haven't made up our minds either asmu or pofq.. My daughter loves the decor or movies but I love the decor of pofq! Lol we have to pick in two weeks so I can actually book lol!!!!

That's one of the reasons we picked POR for the decor for me to take pictures and for the DD. DH could care less as long as he has a clean, comfortable place to shower and sleep...lol.

Thanks for the info on the Dessert Party! When I booked for this past March, it was only a few weeks out. Makes sense! lol

Not sure about CRT... DS is 5 and he runs away from princesses!! *sigh* Maybe I should just go myself! :thumbsup2

That's how my DS was on our past trip. He was around 3.5 and couldn't careless for the princesses or any of the characters really. We went to CRT and he just sat there grumpy the whole time because they kept coming over and bothering him. :rotfl: It's kind of like a tradition for DH and I to go to CRT every trip. But am thinking about skipping it this time around. If the kids don't enjoy it than why bother! We're defintely gonna try for BOG though, so at least we'll still get to eat in A castle, just not THE castle!

Quick question, would it be best to call and make the ADR's or do it online?

Some places, that require credit card numbers to book, you have to call. Otherwise, online works!

I did all mine online this past Monday, even the ones with credit card numbers required. They have a place for you to enter it.

I was up and on the Disney site at 6 and was done by 6:15! I made ADRs for (in this order):

CRT dinner
Tusker House b'fast
Crystal Palace dinner
Cape May Cafe dinner
50s Prime Time Cafe dinner
San Angel Inn dinner

I got all the times I wanted, except for CRT. I was shooting for 7:30 but ended up with 7:15. This will follow our 5 PM appointment at BBB so I hope it all works out ok.

I did all my ADRs online. I'm a visual person and need to see it on the computer screen. It also allowed me to look up what was available and tweek a few things. I also like searching for what is available in each park to see what our options are.

I made our ADRs on Tuesday! Counting down to our trip May 5-11!! My family (me, dh, ds 11, dd 8 and dd4) are coming back for our second ever Disney trip and this time we have travelling companions! Bil, Sil and nephew 8and nephew 6. We are staying at AoA, we have a Nemo suite so excited

Here's what I have planned and I'd love to hear your feedback!

Sunday: travel day reservations at Rainforest Cafe in DTD for a late supper

Monday: AK DAY Reservations for Tusker House breakfast, supper ressie at Chef Mickeys

Tuesday: HS DAY Resevrations for Hollywood and Vine breakfast and Mama Melrose's Fantasmic Package for supper

Wednesday: EPCOT DAY Reservations for Cape May Cafe for breakfast, Teppan Edo for lunch and supper at Garden Grill ** this is the only reservation that I might change.

Thursday: MK DAY 1 Reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast and Be our Guest for supper!!!

Friday: MK DAY 2 Reservations at 'Ohana's for breakfast and our traditional end of trip supper at Liberty Tree Tavern

Saturday: HEADING HOME breakfast at AoA food court

My mom has terminal cancer and this trip is giving me something to look forward to. I am so looking forward to our time away.

We leave 6 months from today!!! :cool1:

We're staying offsite, so we are only making two ADRs.

Will make one this coming Saturday for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom on Thursday, May 16th, and making another one the following day for a Play and Dine lunch at Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios on Friday, May 17th.

Hi, Mom! I just booked a 1 BR @ BWV for May 12-19, 2013! Arriving on Mother's Day is something I've done once before for a solo trip. I hope DH or some other family/friend might be able to join me but if not, I don't mind going solo! :goodvibes

May 26-June 1 for our honeymoon! I'm so excited - this is my first trip to WDW! Right now we're planning on POR, but if a general discount for free dining or RO discount comes out we're hoping to be able to upgrade to WL or AKL! We looked into renting DVC points from Dave for a studio at AKL, but we really need to be able to make payments, so we think that's out.
