***The Official March 2016 Thread!***

Thanks so much I'm glad she'll get to experience inside the castle as an adult princess:
I'm sure that was a special day for your DD with BBB and the slipper dessert

I know your leaving soon safe travels and have a wonderful time with your daughter making more magical memories pixiedust:
You have a wonderful time with your daughter too! I feel very lucky that DD is my Disney buddy, we are like two peas in a pod! LOL. Many don't understand why we love Disney so much but our Disney trips are our special time and the memories that we make are priceless!

10 days for us! DH and I have different weather apps and every morning we compare Orlando forecasts. His is always 5-7 deg warmer than mine so I'm going with his;) Check in day we have dinner at Garden Grove in the Swan, then we'll head to the Boardwalk to stroll. Can. Not. Wait.

Sounds like a great way to start the fun :yay:

We may have to postpone our trip, but I won't know until tomorrow....a member of my traveling party had a health issue that had to be taken care of last night and it may keep him and my other fiend from going....and if they don't go, I'm not going....so, we'll see.....

Well, it's looking better....his issue is clearing up quite nicely and as long as that doesn't change, we should be good to go. The doctor had said as long as he didn't mind taking care of it on the trip he could still go and he still wants t ogo, so I think we should be good, but we won't know officially until tomorrow.....I'll let you know!

Just back from our first trip, and man what a great vacation it was. I have some friends who go yearly, sometimes twice a year, and having never been I was a bit skeptical about the value/worth/magic. Boy was I wrong, the whole 16 hour drive home my wife and I could not stop talking about how incredible everything was and how even if we had paid twice the amount we paid it would have been worth it. DD had an incredible time including a few truly magical moments and I, as a bit of a skeptic, was fully converted and now am contemplating planning our next trip and/or buying into DVC.

Side note: Thanks to everyone on this site for all of your wonderful helpful information that assisted us in making our trip exceptional. The planning and information I got from this site, helped me streamline our trip, schedule each park visit, FP+, afternoon breaks each day for DD to play at the pool and recover, to maximize the fun and the wife agrees it couldn't have gone any better. Thanks again DIS family!

Welcome back

So happy to hear you had a great time. My favorite memories with my family are the ones we shared at Disney :cloud9:

8 days! YAY! Now time to get all the Easter baskets down and pack all the Easter bunny stuff in a suit case! I bought several of the prize eggs from the egg extravaganza from the past 3 years and we are going to a treasure hunt in our condo! The kids have been home for almost a week due to floods and sickness so I finally get some time to myself to prepare and pack! Disney here we come!!!!:drive::ccat::tinker::dumbo::stitch::cool1:

Is anyone else that is going the last week in March as worries about weather as I am? We are going the 27th to 31st and it's starting to show high chances of rain and storms. I'm starting to really freak out as this is our kids first trip and I know we won't be going again for a while! I was thinking it might rains little, but it never even entered my mind that it would rain our entire trip! Am I over reacting or should I start rain planning? Can you bring umbrellas into the park or is it like stadiums and they aren't allowed?

It's pretty much a given that it's going to rain at Disney during the day when it gets into spring and summer time....the good thing is it doesn't usually last all day or anything like that...so, yes, it might rain, but it may last an hour or two (if it lasts that long!) and then it's done....

What are the odds that Magic Kingdom keeps the 9am opening on Thursday 3/24? The rest of the week has moved to 8am. How often do the hours change last minute?

EDITED: The odds were very low since they switched it to 8am soon after I posted my question! :joker:

I love when it rains at WDW! The park gets a bit emptier and we just keep on going! Also, it cools the day down a bit too!

That's how I'm trying to look at it. I figure we can either take our break during the rain or try out some of the shows, I wasn't planning on doing to save time. Does anyone know where or if I can find a list of what rides are open in the rain? I think I'm going to start working on some rain plans, just to be safe.

As long as there isn't lightning with the rain, I think pretty much all of them are still open. If there is lightning, then the outdoor rides stop I believe until there is a certain amount of time and distance from the last strike.
