The Official Lime Lovin' Croc Exchange

Ok....so this is the weirdest thing. Today I read an email that was sent to me, it is a write up of a Croc being attacked by a group of dogs, I read it and then look at the picture, and the picture is one from this thread! I could not believe it! The persone that sent this to me has no idea the DIS even exists.....LOL! It is amazing how things get picked up.

Here is the email:

Pack of Dogs Attacking a Crocodile Near Cairns

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.

The crocodile, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines.

See the remarkable photograph below, courtesy of Nature Magazine.

Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the croc' preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing. The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the croc'.

Not for the squeamish!

I am still sitting here shaking my head in disbelief!

YIKES, that's a little creepy
......can't remember whose pups they are either..........
anyone?

Hey, do you have a pic of all of the kids? I just had one of all us (1 smiling, 1 doing the Focker signal). Post it if you do--DD10 is enjoying the pictures. DD13 has designed ways to cut her sister out of the pictures, zoom in on herself, and post them on myspace........ Her computer skills are amazing--I told her to use her powers for good and find me a cool avatar this week!

I don't have one with just the kids. It is the 3 of us and 4 of the kids. I made a reference in my TR that it was a photo of 3 hot moms, 4 incredible kids, and 3 crazy crocs.

OH NO !!! Freddie is missing :scared:

I just received a PM the person after me didn't get Fredddie ...
I gave him to the front desk and they said that ,,, They would send him to POR, he is in a striped bag with his journal..
What so we do ????

I'm loving all the pictures of the crocs. Hopefully I'll get my pics of Fauna up tomorrow. I only had her one day, but we sure had fun with her. :thumbsup2
I'm so glad you got her at last!

Anyone else have an idea?

Boy this is a scary week for our Crocs and their families. We had a moment of great fear when we checked in on the 16th, Fritizie was no where to be found. I kept sending that poor check in girl back to the back over and over again. Finally on the forth time she arrived with my little green foster croc. Whew crisis averted. Boy was I glad my hand off at the end of our trip was a direct pass over to NotTooOldForFun.

Lol...

I received this same e-mail MONTHS ago, long before our fun here started.

BTW...any news on poor Freddie? We are in line to crock sit Fauna in December. I hope, after all this, she is being well looked after. You never know, this could be a ring of croc nappers. Before you know it there will be ransom notes demanding Mickey bars and Dole whips!
