**~~***The Official June 2017 Thread***~~**

It looks like they opened mk at 8:00 on several days during the week we are going the past couple of years. I would love an 8:00 opening, but I wish they wouldn't change hours after they've already posted. I need to decide if I want to keep our 8:00 bbb or try and change it to later in the day.
I agree. We have a 8:05 BOG that I'll cancel if it switches to an 8 AM opening. And... this reservation tips the scales as far as us adding the dining plan. We will likely save a little money even without BOG, but the loss of flexibility would make it less likely we'd get it.

Rafiki is still there, and I would imagine he'd be a bit difficult to remove since he's got his own area of the park. Then again, since they removed DUG, those heartless sadists are clearly capable of ANYTHING.
:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:
For some reason, I thought they got rid of him even though he has his own area...which I guess would've been weird. But like you said, they are capable of anything!

I'm really afraid that I won't be able to get a later BBB this late in the game and it will be even harder if they wait until June to announce the change. Cancelling bbb will not be an option for my 3 year old. Plus, we have a 12:00 BOG that my girls wanted to be dressed up for.

Eek- yeah, I think you are committed to that even if the time changes!

I finally booked our airfare and it was the second lowest I have seen it so I feel pretty good. I'm so excited and my daughter is talking about it more and more. We have started watching Disney movies in anticipation.

You're lucky. DS said yesterday, with a MASSIVE sigh of exasperation, "Mom, do you have to talk about it every day???" I've since disowned him and am looking for a replacement child.

Well this is going to be our first trip and she is 10. I've never been before either.

Ha, mine's a little bit more enthusiastic. But I think it's mostly because it's a sign that school is done for the year!

We ended up getting annual passes, since we had a 5 day trip and a 10 day trip within the same year so it made sense. Now that we have that, we're squeezing in a few short trips before it expires! I know we won't be doing that again for years probably, so we're making the most of it :)
That is the good and bad part about having the annual pass lol :-)

We are going June 20-29. We are stay at AKL the first 2 nights and then moving to POLY!! for the last 7 nights. We have never stayed at either so we are very excited!

I'm late to the party but thought I would join. We're going June 21-28 with the first 5 days at Poly and the last 2 at the GF. We're so excited and had unexpected changes to our trip this week but can't wait!

Anyone have advice about taking a 5 year old solo until your spouse joins you (that was the sudden and unexpected change this week)?

Let him/her set the pace. If they're tired and need a break, take a break! LOTS of water!!! Snacks!!!

I'm a single parent and have only done Disney solo with the kiddo, and it's really NOT difficult.

Yes, agreed on all counts. If you're at a one-to-one ratio of kid to parent that's not too bad.

Disney has thrown me off again.

The Music of Pixar Live! now has dining packages. We're planning on going to HS for one day, on which we'll be doing a late lunch at Sci Fi and have the Star Wars fireworks dessert party booked. We have this show in our plans, but now I'm questioning if we'll be able to get in stand-by. How big is the theater? We're not planning on seeing Fantasmic since we decided on the Star Wars fireworks, although the combo dining package would be a great deal.

I'm torn between keeping my plan the way it is or completely rearranging the day and changing our ADR. Since we've never been, we're trying to catch every show, except Disney Jr. (too old) and Frozen Sing Along (saw it at DL). Also, how early should we plan on arriving prior to the shows? This is my list:

Beauty & the Beast - 10:00
Jedi Training - 11:10, check in @ 10:40
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away - 11:30 (this one we might be cutting too close)
March of the First Order - 12:00
Music of Pixar Live - 5:00
Indiana Jones - 6:00
Voyage of the Little Mermaid - 7:40

We also have RnRC, ToT, TSMM, Star Tours and the GMR in our plans. The thought of rearranging the day makes my head spin.
