***The Official June 2016 Thread***

Yes we are probably doing both bc I have a $5.99 prime pantry credit and with prime now, they are offering a $10 credit for first order!

I saw that! Prime Now has cases of water for $4. I couldn't find them for less than 6.99 on Prime Pantry. I also have the 5.99 credit for pantry and was planning to use it but now I don't know which to do!

There are a few things that "pantry" has that "now" doesn't. I probably won't fill up a whole pantry box but since I have the credit, I'm not gonna worry too much.

Open House went well Saturday! Yay!
Graduation is this Saturday! And we leave Sunday morning! Woo-Hoo! 6 days! His 18th birthday is Thursday, it has sort of gotten forgotten about in the graduation craziness so I need to figure out something fun for that! When your birthday falls on graduation and is followed by a Disney trip, I'd say things are pretty good though! ;)

Anyone else reconsidering plans after reading (less-than-glowing) reviews ofthe Jungle Book show?

We didn't even bother with it. I don't think it will be a terrible show though. It just wasn't worth dinner or FP+ plans for us.

Revealing Wednesday, leaving at 6 am Friday.

One disappointment - I had a cake design for our anniversary but was told they couldn't do it. What they offered instead wasn't good enough so I'm not getting a cake.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I'm getting ready to do that in just a few minutes. We have a FP+ for JB this Friday, but I'm going to cancel it which actually works out better for me so I can go on the safari right at the real sunset, ride EE at night during the first JB show, and still catch the Tree of Life doing its thing a couple of times. Now of course, my plans could go right out the window if it starts raining like crazy (which evidently happened last night).

I wasn't initially planning on watching the JB video, but with so many bad reviews, I figured I needed to watch for myself to know if I needed to change plans. That pretty much cemented it for me.

Awww, that is disappointing. Hope you have happy anniversary!

I KNOW it's crazy to look at the weather this far out in South Florida (we live in extreme South Alabama) But next week looks like more rain than not. Praying for clear skies! Our Memorial Day is being spent packing... This is the most prepared I have ever been able to be. We have also been spending a lot of time outside to get used to the heat!

I saw the extended forecast for the week of the 5th. I'm pondering packing rain boots and full Frogg Togg suits for DD & I. It looks like it's going to be a soggy week for us.

Last year, the extended forecast was 60-100% everyday. We waited till 2 days before we left to buy rain gear. That very night the rain chances diminished & only rain on our Epcot morning. Still cleared up enough to make a TT FP for the afternoon. I pray for something close to that luck. I did extend our trip from the 11th to the 12th so maybe we can squeeze some pool time in @ CBR!

I must be looking at a different forecast because I'm not seeing anything more than a potential passing thunderstorm any day over the next 2 weeks. Typical Florida summer weather. That being said, we've learned not to trust the weather forecast until about 24 hours ahead of time.

I was watching Weather Center on the Weather Channel. We've been several times in the summer and I know it can mean anything from a 5 minute sprinkle to a 2 hour deluge. We'll be prepared either way.

Booked my first fastpasses today! Now, it feels like we are getting close.

I originally planned on going to California Grill the first night and watching fireworks, but we were able to get some good fastpasses. So, that means we probably are going to go the parks the first night. I really wanted to go to California Grill. I am thinking about the possibility of watching July 3rd fireworks from there since it will be a way to escape the crowd with a good view.

We will probably still do it. But reserve the right to bail if the kids get squirmy...

We dropped ours last night, replacing them with an evening Safari. From just about everything I read, the show sounds good, but not worth an FP. It sounds more like a "Beauty and the Beast" than a "Fantasmic!", which isn't surprising, under the circumstances. That's ok, since I love the BatB show, but we'll pass on the FP for now.

What a roller coaster this planning year has been!

It has been a roller coaster planning year indeed. We're 6 days out and I'm again re-vamping my AK plans after seeing all the reviews on the JB show. I had a FP for the late show, I would rather use that on something else. I already have one for the safari, so I'm trying to snag an afternoon/evening FP for EE.

I'm still trying to book the TH dining pkg bc it's no difference for us on the dining plan. But I actually have an extra anytime FP to use that day so I'm not hugely worried about giving up the JB one. We'll use the anytime one for EE right before dinner, if we choose, but I'm really more interested in riding it at dark....so I might bail on JB just to do that with shorter waits since currently there's no late night FP (I wish they would change that before next Tuesday - our AK day).

Wow, after reading for a while I am caught up on all the posts. Let me say I am quite jealous with everyone being able to do FPs and getting your bands. I am going with a group and the main downside is we do not get the bands until we arrive at the hotel (our youth orchestra is performing on Wednesday morning if you are interested). Is it possible to get FPs once you get there or will they all be gone? I figured since we couldn't do FP I would make dinner reservations. June 6th is Minnie's Hollywood & Vine Dinner and VIP seats for Fantasmic, June 7th is Chip N Dale Harvest Feast Dinner at Garden Grill (the only characters my 17 year old son still admits to enjoying)and the 8th is Sci-Fi Dinner and then Symphony in the Stars Dessert Party. Thrilled that we got the dessert party just yesterday. Swapped this for the Wishes dessert party on another date. Definitely worth the change.

Regarding all the comments on rain. Like I have told my son in the past: rain in Florida is warm (come experience cold rain in Colorado and you will know what I mean). Yes, you get wet but as long as the rides are still going we are at DISNEY WORLD!!! Counting the days and it is less than a week.
