**** The Official July 2015 , Roll Call Who is going?!?! ****

Quiet group here... What is everyone doing to get all ready for their Disney trip? I am playing with our daily plans and trying to figure out all of our FP+'s... I started making my shopping list... tweaking ADR's ... It's finally March so since we leave on June 30th it is less than 4 months away now! woohoo!

I started making my shopping list... tweaking ADR's ... It's finally March so since we leave on June 30th it is less than 4 months away now! woohoo!

I'm stalking MDE for a reservation for the wishes dessert party which isn't open yet for some reason. I'm really hoping they haven't cancelled it! I'm also starting to plan out FP+ and trying to plan our one day at Universal, which is a daunting task as I really don't know much about Universal! We've been once and had a great time, but I'm not sure what to do this time with the new HP area and the summer crowds. I would skip it if DS weren't soooo HP obsessed. Otherwise we are watching Disney movies. This afternoon we're finally watching Big Hero 6 again! It's one of my new faves. :-)

We had snow days, so I've been going crazy with park planning, and I have our daily schedule outlines ready (i'm insane...but i plan so we can be spontaneous. Sounds counter-productive, but it WORKS!).

We also have a day at US/IOA, and it's driving me crazy. We're headed there for DS2's 10th bday, July 17, which is a Friday. We are there for HP, so we'll focus on that, Jurassic Park, The Mummy, and the Simpson's area. We all know we can't do everything, so no whining and no sad faces, LOL. Let's see how that works when we're actually there.

We have reservations for BOG lunch and dinner...I don't think we'll keep both, but we have to decide which we are going to let go. Or we might keep them, who knows??? They're on the same day, our last full MK day. I prefer dinner, but something tells me that's the one we'll get rid of if it comes down to choosing.

We're also keeping our eye on the Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party. It's not necessarily a "must do", but it's a "we sure would like to do", lol.
I also think we're taking the plunge and going to get a Wishes FP, because the new areas look PERFECT.

Mainly, I'm just on a major Disney high right now. You cannot pry me off this site with a crowbar! I'm living through TRs :)

If we do a Question of the Day maybe we can perk things up around here? Anyone interested??

I'm popping over here from the June group. My aunt and I are going to Disney this summer - I'm excited to bring her back since she hasn't been to Disney in 10 or so years and show her what's changed. We had to change our dates but now we'll be down July 27-31 at Wilderness Lodge officially!

Hey summer people! How are your plans going? We are giving up our summer trip for a Christmas trip. I hope you all have a Magical Time

Joining this group & with all the snow we have been getting here in NJ I've been really enjoying planning our trip in July:lovestruc
We were planning a trip to visit family in Florida and thanks to extra vacation time DH & I were able to squeeze in a small Disney trip. We will be driving straight through and arriving late on a Saturday afternoon. Plan to do 3 park days starting on Sunday morning & then head to the beach for the rest of our vacation.

I have a DS who is thin as a rail but eats me out of house & home (& DD is no slouch either) so I've chosen the QS DP. I think it will be worth it & getting a ressie for BOG on our MK day was just awesome. We do plan on having 2 TS meals - Sci Fi diner (I know the food isn't the greatest but DH & kids really like it) and I've booked 1900 Park Fare for the morning we leave. Hope to be able to pop over to the Poly to check out all the changes too.

Trying to figure out all this FP+ - it's mind boggling! We will also have a family member with us who will need to use an ECV - it looks like most of the lines can accommodate it which is wonderful news. I'm still curious as to what to do with it when she gets on the rides, I've heard they magically appear at the exit.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of sad that I'm spending more time planning my trip then the time I'll actually spend on it:blush:

Hello DisneySOS

Love Disney in July. BOG, Sci-FI is our favorite eateries.

Here is a link to my DD's You Tube channel (BOG dinner) If you have the time to view the video.

Have fun planning and have a super vacation.

Thanks so much for sharing! I wish we could do dinner but since I'm the only one who is really interested in doing this I thought lunch would be the better option. Do you know if it snows outside the windows all year round or was that just during the winter? Very cool!

I believe year around.... The video was taken Mid-July - the snow is really neat to watch.

I've never done the dessert party - I'm sure that they haven't canceled it - I think that it just opens closer to the dates.
I can't wait to do WWoHP when my DD4 is a little older... I am a big HP fan but I just know she won't really get any of it now... plus the dragon with fire with FREAK her out!

We also have a lunch and dinner at BOG - we have the lunch at the beginning of the trip and a dinner on our last night. I think we will keep both - that is unless breakfast comes out as an option!
I would love a Question of the Day!

How fun! When are you going around Christmas? We have a long weekend planned with a BB in December. As much as the crowds are insane, I really wish we were going over the actual Christmas holiday week!

We are in NJ too! Another snow day for us today - You're plans sound great! I spend a lot time planning our trips as well - I find that part to be so fun!

Great to hear from you! Love the video! Any progress on a solo-trip this summer?

I'm home with hopefully our last snow day of the winter... I am dying for the sun to come out and the trees to bloom again! I'll just have to do some Disney planning to pass the time!

Doing my only little happy dance! I FINALLY booked today! I'm going to try to make some ADRs now but if not I'll be being the crazy lady sitting at home doing them tomorrow.

Stuck at home because of snow and ice AGAIN (excuse me, but didn't I move farther south to AVOID this? Oh well!)...130 days til Disney. Cannot. wait.

I am an Odyssey of the Mind coach for our elementary school, and our competition is Saturday. This is our second snow day this week, so two cancelled practices. If we don't make it to school tomorrow we will have to present our project with zero rehearsal time. I am freaking out! Using Disney as a distraction this morning.

I saw the latest refurb list, and Pirates is officially on it, closed from May - September. Boo! I know it was a stretch to hope it wouldn't actually go down so long, but I was still holding out unrealistic hope.

Another snow day here too - well I had to go to work, but DS got to stay home. I changed into my pajamas as soon as I got home though, dinner is in the oven and I'm off to do more planning. Purchased Touringplans.com so I plan to play around with that.

I'm so sick of snow! Thankfully we didn't get any here (I feel like "for once") but it's supposed to snow tonight I guess? Blargh.

Managed to make all my ADRs this morning into this afternoon! One of my favorite feelings!

I'm sick of it too! :crazy2:
It's such a good feeling when everything is done and then you can kind of sit back & relax a bit.
Pretty sure any ADRs we are going to do are done. When we go to Epcot DH & I enjoy grabbing a small snack and having a drink in almost each country. DD & DS may do a TS together which I think is so cute. She's 20 & he's 15 and they aren't that picky.

We are planning a 3 day Universal & IOA and a 7 day at Disney at the end of July. We know it will be hot, so we're hoping to get a room at Old Key West, for some rest during the hot hours of the day... But I'm sure that we will have a blast!!!!

Your daughter will have an amazing experience & you are a great dad for allowing her to go and do it.
As for you, maybe you can make a bucket list of things you would like to do or accomplish while she is gone?
Do you enjoy cooking? Maybe take some classes and surprise her with some new culinary delights?
Is there anything at WDW you haven't done but have always wanted to?
Maybe while you are there have someone take your picture in some not so common spots and you can send her some "Where in the world is Dad" photos? It might be fun for her to try and figure out.
