Bon voyage to everyone leaving today or tomorrow!

Tonight, DH and I are going to the Aerosmith concert at Jones Beach...my 7th time seeing them in concert! They're my favorite band. And Slash is opening the show...yes, Slash from the old Guns 'n' Roses! We are going with my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces. Our boys and my baby nephew will be staying with my parents. Really looking forward to this concert...we bought the tickets in April! :)

And just a small interesting factoid here... We have already had 32 (by my count) from our July list already return from their Disney trips.

Wishing everyone a safe trip and lots of wonderful moments pixiedust:.

I cannot wait to hear about everyone's trips.

So my DS was a little bummed that I couldn't get another FP for 7DMT, but I was able to get just him a time for tomorrow night!!! He's gonna be so psyched! We have a ressie for Tonys ( not my favorite, but bc of the time of the FP it worked well being in the same park.
We're going late so we can stay for parade and fireworks. We are definitely not a commando family anymore. I think our limit is 5 hours in a park.

Safe travels and magical dreams to all those headed to Disney!!!! Save us some magic, we'll be there in a week! Woohoo!!

Just did our Garden Grocer order and started to organize some packing items. I can NOT pack ahead of time because the day before we leave I still want to go back and double check everything! We are going to do some organizing in the garage today. Once summer hits, all the 'toys' and lawn equipment start getting moved around and its a mess!!

For those that are back home now, if you're still on here...BIG hugs!!!

Wow, I never even thought of watching them from the path do DHS at Boardwalk Inn! We always stay at BWV and this would be so convenient. We have 2 DHS days, but one of them is a half day, and the other one we will be going to Fantasmic! from the dinner package, so the first showing. Hoping to catch some of the fireworks on the way out of the park, but knowing we could see some of the fireworks from the path at BWI without having to fight the theme park crowds is really amazing! :)

Have you been following the Official Frozen Summer Fun tips thread started by lovethattink? In the first post there is a comment by Speedo with tips for viewing the fireworks after the first Fantasmic. During SWW they were successful getting to Hollywood Blvd. for the fireworks after the first Fantasmic.

Robo has also created a map, which is in the second post, showing the best area on the path to see the fireworks. I loved the view from there in the video posted on wdwmagic and want to experience it one night.

Safe travels to everyone leaving today and in the next couple of days. pixiedust:

We are still 17 days from WDW, but only 9 from a week in Fort Myers Beach :goodvibes

DD turns 5 when we are in FL, so we are having her party this Saturday. It will be a Frozen theme of course. Although, she seems to be cooling a little on Frozen, not that I'm complaining.

World Cup Final/pool/dropping off our lizard party on Sunday. DW says that we will start to pack on Monday :hyper:

For anyone interested in the Frozen Fun at HS Josh from Easywdw is tweeting about his experiences there today. It has been smooth sailing today so far. According to his calendar today is a non recommended day and everything is super easy. This morning when he was at Oakens there was no wait to skate and only a 15 minute wait to play in the snow. He said he should have a review posted on Friday. I cannot wait to read it and see what his suggestions are.

Thanks for that info! I always find it useful to read his posts. I wasn't following him today on twitter but I will definitely read what he has to say on his page later this week. I am hoping that some of the craze of it has died down and that the trading post will be easy to get into!

Just wanted to share for anyone staying at the Swan or Dolphin....

I placed our order with Garden Grocer today and there was a big red note that said they apologize, but they can no longer deliver to the Swan and Dolphin. I just wanted to share in case there was anyone on here who was staying there and planning on ordering.

I have a crazy question for all of you who usually go to Disney in the summer. How much sunscreen do you usually take for a week for your family? I am trying to figure out how much I need to pack for our trip and I am having a hard time estimating. I'm sure we can buy more there but I would think that it would be a lot more expensive at Disney vs. Walmart. Thanks.

We go for a week so I bring one big bottle per person - since we each use different types! I also bring a carry-on size of each type for the plane because we use ME - we never now how long it will take to see our suitcases and we typically like to hit the pool or a park after we arrive. Then we carry the small size ones with us into the parks just in case we need to reapply before we go back for our midday break. Hope that helps!

In other news... 4 days to go!! :rotfl: 3 more sleeps! :cheer2:Although, I can't say I'm sleeping much these days... woke up at 2:15am with my mind racing today and never could get back to sleep! It's a good thing I LOVE coffee!!:coffee:

Me too, but I made it until 4:30! :rotfl2: Then my brain was racing with everything I need to do (and questioning why I decided to re-organize the garage this close to leaving for our trip!) :rotfl2:

On another note....for those of you there now, did you see this????

"Share A Coke" - July 10-13, 2014

Innoventions Hallway near Club Cool, Epcot

10:30am-4:30pm

In the new "Share A Coke" campaign, Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Coke Zero bottles have been printed with names on them, inviting people to share a Coke with someone. Guests at Walt Disney World will be able to create a personalized label for a 7.5 oz Coca-Cola can.

It looks so cool! No pun intended ;) If anyone experiences it I'd love to hear about it or see pictures!

With the spray kind we'll go through 1 can a day for the three of us. Especially if we're swimming. The lotions last much, much longer. One bottle of lotion will last all week. So I start us off with lotion sunscreen in the morning; I like Banana Boat Baby. Then I carry a spray can in my backpack and touch us up a couple of times during the day while we're in the park. If we go to the pool I put lotion on everybody again.

DD and DH don't burn so anything works for them. I've very fair so I have to be obsessive about sunscreen for myself. I'll probably take 1 bottle of Banana Boat Baby lotion and 3 cans of Up and Up (that's Target brand) spray for our 9 day trip.

For the two kids, I bring two spray cans for the 9 days we are there. I also bring two face sticks for them. They don't like the spray on their faces.

DH and I usually go through two cans of spray for us, but we use a different kind then the kids and I have special oil free suntan lotion for my face. So that is about 5 cans. I think it depends on how much swimming you will do vs. park time. Lotion in the parks lasts us longer than in the pool specially if we are going to a water park during our trip.
