Just booked Beach Club for 4 January to 14 January. Myself, my husband, DS12 (turning 13 at Disney!) and DS14 coming over from Australia, doing an eastern Carribean cruise first, then WDW. First visit to Florida, although we did go to DL about six years ago. Very exciting now that things are all booked and paid for!

Made my FP+ this evening. What a nightmare! I have absolutely no faith that what I have selected will actually make it to our MBs. I'm not sure that they could have come up with a more convoluted way to make the selections. Plus then, I had to copy each FP+ multiple times b/c it kept telling me that 2-3 of the people in my party weren't eligible for the FP+. Oy. And it is still not showing everything correctly in the itinerary.

As of now, I can be pretty sure that AK's Festival of the Lion King will be closing Jan 5th. I was able to select it as a FP+ for the 5th but if you look at "shows" on your itinerary and select FOTLK, it will only show the times of the show for dates up to and including Jan. 5th. But if you look for the Finding Nemo show, it shows dates through the end of January. (of course, Disney could decide to extend it at any time.)

I was hoping the FOTLK was a rumor but your observations make it sound more like a truth.

I sat down this morning with the touring plans I have and tried to book times based off of that. So, I ended up changing almost all of my FP+. After staying up late last night and struggling with MDE. Of course, now that I've mucked them up even more, I've got multiple FP+ showing up in my itinerary that aren't "really" there. I hope that tomorrow when I log in again, things look better. Wishful thinking??

Anyone want to take a look at my touring plans? I wasn't going to make FP+ for the morning because I didn't want to "waste" them but since this is our first trip as a family, I don't know what our touring "style" will be but we are definitely early risers. I think we'll be afternoon break people. I made most of my FP+ for a few rides in the morning and then one "headliner" in the afternoon or evening that we can hit again if we want to ride again without the wait. This list below is basically easywdw recommended touring plan with a few tweaks.

I don't have many rides planned out for day 2. I imagine there will be things we'll want to do again, etc. We have an early dinner at BOG at 4:45 and then I was thinking we could do ETWB after that but before the fireworks? Too much?

Your little ones may want to play in the line of Winnie the Pooh. Our kids have gotten upset in the past when we FP that attraction. I would think about switching that FP to Barnstormer or Buzz. If you are rope drop early risers, make your FP for the late afternoon after naps/breaks and evening. You will get so much done in the morning and won't need FP until after 11am. Happy Planning!!

I've been looking around the Disney site when making my FP+ this morning, and it seems that some of the renovations that were to take place starting 1/6 have moved up to 1/2. ---- the two I noticed are Splash Mountain and Cassey's Corner. Sad. We're arriving the 5th and heading straight to MK for the Christmas Lights (that BETTER still be up! (last night as well, the last time I checked)) and I thought we'd be able to sneak in SM and CC before refurb. Guess not

But at least...... 60 DAYS!

Stayed up late last night and at 11:15 our time (12:15 est) was able to book our fast passes. It was easy and very smooth--no bugs, glitches, excluding people, etc. I even went back in and changed some times with no problems. I'm not thrilled with all our choices, and the tiers at Epcot are ridiculous, but I'm glad the process was easy and I can live with what we got.

Looks like we will be there right around the same time . We are going 1/29 - 2/6 at AKL! As much as I appreciate the time to plan everything, the wait is hard! I am so excited!

Two month countdown!! We're staying offsite, so I'm out of the MB/FP+ loop, but I just read a "what are you looking forward to" thread and my excitement has returned and then some! Curious to what January folks are looking forward to most? We're having a pre-opening b-day breakfast at CP and doing the dessert party. Also, my non-Disney hubby is coming with our family and I can't wait to experience everything with him! We'll be there the last day of the Osbourne lights as well, which were the highlight of our first trip. Can't wait!!

My mom and I arrive 1/31, staying at POR. Can we still be part of the January group?!

As for Magic Bands, DH and I just used them for our October trip. We got the invite to use them about a month to 3 weeks prior to our arrival, and they got to our home about 2 weeks before, so hang in there everyone.

Also, when I spoke to the CM on the phone, she said MB's are only being trailed up until 1/5 arrivals, so our arrival date is outside of the window, but she said that if things keep going well, they will probably extend the dates!
