We are going for a first time trip Jan 22- Jan 30, two kids 2 and 5 (birthday girl!) and my husband and I. Any discounts yet? Thx!

I have been posting some and lurking some but mostly gathering some really useful info for our trip. I thought that I had been added to the list but checked and we are not on it.
My DH and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary and will have our 2 daughters, their husbands, our 3 grandchildren and DS and his girl friend to help us celebrate. It was what I wanted most for my anniversary. Told DH that our family is what we celebrate, after all, that is what our 25 years together represent. So excited. It will also be my grand daughter's 2nd birthday and 1st visit and one of my grandson's 1st visit. Can't wait to see Disney thru the eyes of the little ones. One of my favorite visits was when we took our oldest grandson when he was just short of bring 3, so magical.
I, am hoping for some discount like the rest of you. This one is going to cost us a bit of $$$$$.
We will all be staying at Wilderness Lodge from Jan 7-14, 2014. Please add our family to the list.

Hey everyone! We have just planned our Disney trip for January 3-10! I am so excited! We are staying at art of animation. It will be me, my mom, and my boyfriend (who has never been). I have a few questions that hopefully someone will be able to answer! Does anyone know when all of the Christmas decorations come down? And what are the best days to go to the parks? We will have 5 day park hoppers! I am so excited to share my love with my boyfriend, especially since we will be celebrating our one year anniversary!

We are going the 2-9! The last night of the Osborne Lights in Hollywood will be Jan 6 from what I've been told. The castle lights will stay up a little while longer. The resort decorations will be down by the time you arrive and the parks deco will still be up but completely gone by the time you leave.

We were originally going to go the dates you picked but for us seeing the lights are important since we just went in March, so we bumped our stay up a day to make sure we make it before everything comes down

You will have a blast! I've heard the parks start thinning out the Sunday after New Years and then they pick back up Thursday for the marathon.

I am going to disney January 5-11 staying in Caribbean beach resort and have never been to disney. I'm learning things as I go but what is MLK lol !!

We will be there January 27-Feb.4! Staying at POR!

I just wanted to mention I switched resorts to Coronado Springs. Can't wait to try it out! Is it January yet?

We just booked for January 7-11 at POFQ . We're actually combining the Disney trip with a trip to see DH's family in New Orleans. We'll probably be so sick of French Quarter themed areas by the time we're back!

Not correct!!Free dining was blacked out for the General public in 2011 & 2012 .

January 2012
Free dining was unavailable during that time.
It became bookable again for Check-in day Saturday January 21st 2012.
Which is the Saturday AFTER MLK Weekend.
The Black out period was Jan 14-20th, 2012[/COLOR]

At first I was going to say this was incorrect as we had free dining during our Jan. 2012 stay and we were there for MLK day. But then I remembered we checked in on Jan. 12th so that is why we were able to have free dining during that time period.

I think I should call and complain when the Disney Visa holders discount is announced that I WANT to use it. It's not my fault I don't have one. They still haven't made them available to Canadians!

So has Disney not yet confirmed the date that MBs and FP+ will be fully unveiled? Are they more likely to still be testing at specific resorts come January?

We would love to be able to use the new system during our stay over MLK weekend.

That's exciting! I'm waiting for the deals to come out to see what I can get off before I pay my balance!

I have heard 60 days as well, and that is my concern. It is supposed to be live by the end of the year for all, so does that mean us January folk will be in more of a time crunch?

Received the USIOA tix in the mail yesterday from UT!!! (We got the Disney ones several months ago). Bwa-ha-ha...it's all falling into place!!!
