Does anyone know - in general would stay/play/ dine be more of a discount then RO? We are staying 6 nights at the contemporary and are currently booked both a week in December and a week in January and I can't decide which one to do.

Depends if you are planning on buying the dining plan.

If we did we would upgrade to deluxe but if not we would pay out of pocket. I would say about 2/3 of our days have two TS meals and 1/3 have one.

I had to really crunch the numbers on the dining plan. For us it is not justifiable. We did it once when both kids were free, it worked well because we did a lot of buffets so they could eat off our plates. Now that the oldest is not free anymore, the benefit just isn't there. We are planning on getting a TiW card when we got for 8 days. Also with my parents in our room, they hardly eat so it would be a total waste on them

Last question I promise - do people think there will also be a RO discount? It looks like there was one this year.

I am hoping so! Also it seems like most of this last year there has been some sort of RO discount offered. We are FL residents so I know basically at any time they offer us some sort of room discount. We are also getting a seasonal pass for this trip (same price as a 7 day ticket!) so we are going to see if those discounts are better than the FL resident

I posted the brochure advertisement from last years promo. It had both a r/o discount and the P/s/d on the same page. If someone tells me how to post a picture on here I'll gladly do it :)

I guess I beat you to the punch.

I will still gladly explain how to post a picture:
Go to any free photo hosting site (I prefer tinypic.com) such as photobucket or imageshack.

You will probably have to create an account, which is free.

Once you are all set up and logged in,
click the upload link
select the photo from whichever folder on your computer
click upload

After you upload they will give you many different types of codes depending on where you want to post the photo.

The DISboards uses the bbcode which usually starts with
.

Copy and paste that link into your post and it should show up.

Hope that helps!

I created this little step by step to use tinypic in case anyone needs it.

BTW I didn't resize this photo

Haha! It is so agonizing! I think you are overlapping some of our days I think we have 2 BOG reservations and we are gonna cancel one. If you can't get on o e of your dates let me know. I know it is for later I our trip like the28 and the 29

I got all of the ADRs I wanted online this morning, but saying it was a struggle to get the system to cooperate is an understatement. Only going with 3 this trip, I want be a free spirit and traveling with youngest DS who will be 18 months I figure we will be spending a lot of time in the afternoons in the room. Since we have a 1 bdr at BLT I am planning on cooking early meals while he naps to optimize park touring & heck saving money is just a bonus.

OMG yes! We are going to Publix to get stuff for breakfast and lunches. Our little guys can play together my ds will be 21 months

I am trying to figure out dates and times for our ADR's. I know for sure we want T-Rex. DH wants Liberty Tree Tavern and DS wants Be Our Guest. The other on our list is The Plaza. Any opinions on food at the The Plaza or recommendations for other places that would be better. I wanted O'Hana, but the guys won't go :( DS also mentioned wanting to go back to Cinderellas castle (yes my son loves dining with the princesses LOL). I don't really want to use 2 meal credits for that or pay out pocket, so I suggested maybe Akershaus. Dining options is actually the most stressful part for me LOL!

We enjoy the plaza, but unfortunately it appears they will be closed for a refurbishment Jan 5th through sometime in February. I haven't seen an official announcement of this but that is the rumor. Based on the fact that no ADR times are showing up online or by calling it seems to be the case.

Subbing! We are going in January for our annual trip. Really hate that FD isn't gonna be offered. It would've saved my family an extra 500.00. Oh well!!

I guess one can hope that FD may still come out. Only time will tell! But at least P/S/D will give us a substantial discount.

ADRs have been done for a while. Now just waiting on the discount!! Come on Disney!!
