It really depends on what kind of people you are and what kind of wedding you want. Personally, I wouldn't (and didn't) choose a contemporary/modern song...but that's just my preference. In reality, you can choose whatever you want since it's you and your husbands day.

Thought of you Robin since Michael Johns looks a little different these days (but still yummy! ) - it's nice to see him goofing around with David C. too. It appears David has decided to clam up on the KC thing too!

I'd say go for it. I always wanted a Prince song (Forever in My Life) for our wedding, but I chickened out. I was afraid of what others would think, and I regret not using it.

We had the Beatles "Here, There, and Everywhere" as our first dance. It's a lovely song. Also it's a short song. No one really wants to sit and watch the couple dance for a really long, 4 minute song so we chose a nice, short one. We did chose our super cheesy song for our LAST dance of the night. We consider it "our song"....because it's funny and we sing it in the car a lot. "Love of a Lifetime" by Firehouse...haha. (We were married in 2006, by the way. NOT in the 80's...haha.)
