We met Darius at a Jimmy V celeb. golf tournament many years ago. He was not very nice. My sister asked him for an autograph. I think he was going to say no before he noticed she was using a crutch. He kind of growled at her and signed. He never even spoke to her. So after that we started calling him Hootie because we'd read that he hates that. It was really fun to yell out Hootie each time he passed by. Hopefully, he has a better attitude now.

That's good to know. Hopefully he was just having a bad day. It was hot and crowded. That was back when they were really popular, so I'm sure lots of people were following him around all day. I guess he could have even been having a bad golf game.

Yeah you never mess with a guy when he is having a bad day at golf...LOL...

He does lots of Charity stuff here in Charleston...they just did a show and gave all the money to victims of a fire...I think it was...maybe it was the families of the Charleston 9....He also does the celebrity golf game on Kiawah....just a few things off the top of my head

I just have to day, I like the song very much, but I was hoping for more of Analog Heart vibe. Still, very nice, Mr. Cook.

On a side note, I went to the American Idols LIVE concert this summer-front row seats- and well, this middle-aged woman felt like a teenager again. He's a wonderful performer live, and well just sooooooooo YUMMY looking. My poor DH had to put up with listening to and talking about DC all summer in my car....over and over again!

I think there is a good chance that Light On is either the most radio freindly or one of the most radio freindly songs on the cd and there may be other closer to the AH vibe, just not released as singles.

I'm sure I'll love anything he sings...He has such a wonderful, versatile voice. I wonder if some of his songs from his unreleased album (recorded right before he tried out for AI7) will make an appearance on his new album??? I think I read somewhere that on said unreleased album that the style of music was a definite departure from Analog Heart.
