My advice is work while your in q for the pirates lobby. I have yet to finish but I'm well on my way and the time between games or when no one was on at open in the morning, is when I got the most done.

That's what I did, as well. I got almost to the mansion task while waiting in queue, crashed when I entered the pirates lobby, and then actually got to the mansion task while I was waiting in queue the second time.

Oh, and I finished the quest this morning. JC was harder than I bargained for, but it's over! I'd like to do it again for my fiance, but I know I won't have the time.

Am I the only 1 that thinks this thread just creates hurt feelings and similar emotions given the struggles and angry people are having towards this quest?

I don't know... I guess the pride in finishing just seems to throw salt in the wounds of those still fighting their way through in lines, crashing, lack of "a team" that is so vital to passing pirates.

Something about humble pride and self-contentment maybe.......?

And yes of course, congrats to all those who have finished.

What about those people who have finished and are working their tails off to help the people who aren't finished get there (and from what I've seen, this seems to be a majority)? It's not as if these people are just saying "I'm done. Who cares if you finish or not?"

I have completed this quest and had a wonderful adventure it was alot of fun! Thanks go out to everyone who helped, and to the VMK staff for the journey, prizes and overall a great challenge! (oh and a bit of knowlege about blackheart i ddin't know before ) Though this quest is over I have started a new quest and that is to help everyone else complete it. If anyone needs help with games, tasks, questions or advice feel free to pm me i'll be happy to help! Best of luck to all, though it seems impossible this quest can be done and you can do it, if you think otherwise may sink, but believe that you can and you'll sail right through and never forget to have fun!!

I havent finished and come to realize I am not going to finish but I love to hear about the people that have. Being on VMK all weekend seeing how frustrated some people got makes me happy for them. Do I wish I could complete it? Of couse I do, but since I know I wont be able to I am at least happy for those that can do it.

I read through this thread when I was still in the face of despair in front of the tremendous 575. Did I feel hurt? Not really... I felt determined.

I did finish this quest, and I did it with much help... And I continue to provide help! My back is sore, my stomach is empty, and I am tired.

If this thread does hurt feelings, then let me know: I can help you.

But I do understand the need for humility: I'm not wearing my silver ears, because I feel that is just salt in the wound while I'm trying to help people.

I have to agree with Mnementh, I worked my tail off with seven of my friends, it took us all day yesterday to get all of through every part of it. And what have we all been doing all today???? Helping others get through and finish it as well (I may never play pirates again though, lol). We would not have been able to get through it had it not been for teamwork , so now we are helping anybody and everybody we can.
