i watched, but was disappointed. i hope it gets better.
It reminded me so much of the horror movie April Fool's Day. But I'm getting a little tired of nothing but reality shows so I'll keep tuning in.

I did record the pilot of Southland. (It was rebroadcast over the weekend.) I watched about 1/3 of it and turned it off. I didn't see anything really attractive about the show, so you didn't miss much.I'm a little sad about ER ending. But I really didn't find the promos for Southland interesting.
Another whodonit mystery was presented in the fall of '05, by Fox, called Reunion. It was also severely derivative and mediocre. 4 of its 13 episodes never aired.I was kind of disappointed with it. The storyline reminded me a little too much of at least 1 million other horror movies I've seen that involve a hotel in a remote location that is difficult to enter or exit, but the stars have shown up at the end of the busy season so the victims have the place all to themselves! Won't that be great! Seriously. I have seen this already.
I was pretty sure, the minute I saw him, that he'd be among the first to go. He's too pricey at this point, I suspect, to pay him for all 13 episodes.Don't read if you don't want to know what happens in the first episode...
I just can't believe they killed off Harry Hamlin in the first episode! I love Harry Hamlin.
Just 13 weeks actually. I think the biggest challenge is that May sweeps starts after next week's episode. If ratings drop off significantly for the second episode, don't be surprised if the show, at least, gets furloughed until the end of May (pushing the finale into early August). Due to the backlash Fox got for never showing the ending of Reunion (see above), perhaps CBS will at least be sure to show the 13 episodes of Harper's Island, no matter how poorly they do, though we might see them shifted to Saturday night, opposite Pushing Daisies, Eli Stone, and Dirty Sexy Money. Its only On till June I believe its a 14 week show, so hope it makes it thru all 14 weeks.

I don't hold out much hope for the show.

I just finished watching tonight's episode. It was a lot better than last week's.
If I was on an island though and everyone was getting picked off one by one, I think I would catch the next boat to the mainland!
That's the thing though. As of 10:50pm, when I fell asleep, no one had found any of the 4 bodies. (5 if blondie got it). Were any of the bodies discovered in the last ten minutes of last nights show?
Did anyone else notice that the Bride's earrings changed during the episode?
If you DVR'd it, watch the earrings change...first she is wearing pearls and diamond studs....then she is wearing some kind of black earrings for one scene.....back to pearls for the rest of the show (no change of clothes). Just a little "blooper".
So far, so good. I love the forrest scenes, they did a good job portraying the island.
