I really enjoyed last nights episode. Yes, it was predictible that Meredith would live and her Mom would die. The scene with the 2 of them was wonderful, aswas Meredith telling Derek that it was allright that her Mom died. The scene with Derek almost breaking down and Addison comforting him was great too!
So do you think Denny has moved on now? He got his final smelland touch of Izzie and can move on? That was very touching.

Here's my input on the episode last night... I thought it was good - but dragged out in a few spots! (All shows have that happen now and again though.)

Did anyone else get a little stressed when girl on the pole started "bleeding" - I thought that we were going to have to relive everyone's deaths in last nights episode. That would have put me right over the edge!

Denny - love love love him... Anything he could say or do is fine with me! I love how he pushed too until Mere finally admitted that she gave up... I so wanted Izzie to say his name at the end - you could see how hurt he was that she didn't as he walked away! (I'll say your name Denny! Share your space with me!)

Dylan, aka Bomb Squad Guy - I found him annoying... I thought he was going to be great when he came back last week - he was just so rotten about everything it seemed - like he was mad because he'd saved her and then she'd given up while drowning!

Christina was great - loved her 99¢ Store shopping binge, drunk moments at Joe's, and her scenes with Mere towards the end... I also love how Burke was there for her, even though he had been "compaired to a corpse" in the last episode!

Izzie is just being crazy - though I do think George is questioning his own motives for marrying Callie now... ("If I did make a mistake, I'll need you/your support")

I love that Callie called out Izzie... She's proving that she's there to stay as long as George will have her! (Plus did she actually say Izzie's friends were dropping like flies or only imply it? If I remember correctly Izzie actually said it!)

I sobbed at that point, and I believe he can come around Izzie at any time for a "sniff." I sometimes smell my late Mom's cigarettes, and no body smokes here in the house....or her perfume, it was Cachet!

Callie stopped just short of saying it. I think she realized what she was going to say and stopped. Izzie finished it up.

Last night's episode was predictable. Nothing made me cry or even get weepy. Too predictable. Izzie is getting on my nerves. I just don't get where she is coming from most of the time. And I still don't understand her disliking callie so much. She has issues and needs to get over them. I really enjoyed Christina's 99cent store shopping spree though. And her scene in the bar was great. I'm just hoping this isn't a "jump the shark" type of thing.

I cried almost the entire episode. Doc jumping on the table and seeing Bomb Squad guy and Denny were great spins to her being "in between" life and death. I think I also gained some respect for McDreamy as well.

Christina's reaction to the initial thought that Mere would die... it KILLED me. I was 4 1/2 months pregnant when my Mom died and ya know how the sense of smell is so strong when you are pregnant? I could SMELL when death was iminent and I bolted. Just like Christina did. I didn't go to the bar and drink of course, but I could totally relate to what she did and why. I just couldn't stay and watch it.

Then I remembered when Izzie insisted they have Thanksgiving dinner together, and all the baking she does when upset ... I think Izzie's own family life was not so great so she's really latched on to the others.

OTOH Cristina lost her dad at age 9.
Meredith barely knew her dad and her mom was cruel.
George had a good family - but some not-so-nice big brothers.

Izzie's trying to mother them all. Getoverit Izzie!

I was getting a little tired of the whole Meredith dying thing dragging on because we all KNEW she wasn't going to actually die. Now Doc jumping on her lamp, I totally didn't see that coming!

Izzie needs to get over George and Callie. I liked what he told her....if you're wrong, you'll look like a jerk and if you're right, I'm going to need you.

I can't believe we have to wait until March 15th for a new show!!!!

Totally didn't see Doc jumping on her lap either. And I was more happy to see him than the others.

At the beginning of the show, when Chief is trying to save Mer, he says something like, "She's Ellis' daughter, she's..???.." What did he say? It's driving me nuts! I just can't understand what he said.

I'm betting Izzie falls for George and that's her real problem with Callie....jealousy.

I think he meant that she's his responsibility. And in the podcast they mentioned that when Ellis was lucid and Richard was painting the picture of what their life could have been together Meredith was in it. And they said that now especially since Richard lost his wife, even though she isn't family, Meredith is the closest thing he has to family. Does that make sense?

I like the show - I even liked McDreamy - I was never a fan of his for some reason. I can't beleive we have to wait that long for a new episode

oh i agree with izzie being jealous. george was her BF and then after callie, she is getting the shaft and is not so happy about it!
