I hope they bring Kevin McKidd (army guy) on full time. I adore him. I first started watching him in Rome on HBO and then Journeyman (which was a great show and I'm bummed it was cancelled). It would be great if he became a regular.

TWO WEEKS!!!! WTH is THAT all about!!! They had all summer and now I gotta wait 2 weeks for my Greys fix

Exactly what I am pissed off about! They just took a 4 month hiatus, and like a PP said, there were about 6 episodes last year (ok, I know it's not related, but annoying from the viewer's standpoint)..WTH are they spacing out the episodes already for? I swear it's because they are running out of material.

I was a little disappointed in last nights show myself, exactly how to they trust some army guy who purports to be a doctor to practice medicine there?

And what's with Mer/Der, is she ever just going to be happy? I expected happiness!

I think it's 2 weeks because there's a debate next Thursday....

Yea, the vice president debate is next Thursday. Why couldn't it be on a Friday too? These canidates have now respect for new tv!


They need to find Izzy a new love. This going back and forth is lame. I didn't like how Mer was so whiney, either.

Oh me too!!! Loved him in Rome...even my Dbf was moderatley interested last night just b/c of him. It would be nice for Christina to have another love interest, especially if Meredith is trying to be "happy." Overall, the episode was alright, I'm kind of hoping they center it back to being more medical related then soap opera. I like a good mix, but last season was way too soap opera-esque. Alex is such a tool, I'm over him....I hated that whole story line with him and crazy girl. I think Izzy needs a change of pace as well. I hope the writers have some tricks up their sleeves.

The only thing that saved me from the same line of thinking is when the chief offers him a job, but Derek ? him too. Maybe it wasn't right out there but there was some thought to the fact that they did want to know who he was and questioned his ability as a physician.

I agree about Izzy - I can't stand the Denny flashbacks didn't he die 2 seasons ago While Mer. not ever being happy is irritating, I thought it was kind of appropriate because she has never been secure in her relationships and always seemed to wait for the bottom to fall out. And I tried to remember that it was a pick up of the end of last season where she just got back with Derek so she would be doubting it's gonna last. WOW with the chief going off on her too ~ flashback to how daddy treated her

I would have liked to have seen Christina admit to her that she is afraid of being alone now that Mer/Der are together as you could tell she knew it but didn't want to verbalize it. I too would like to see army boy come back and be a regular or at least a repeat role and get together with Yang. I saw alot more chemistry in that 1 episode between them than the whole Yang/Burke thing.

I was soooo not impressed with last night's episode. It was predictable and boring while at the same time unbelievable. I thought the writing was terrible, too - are there some new writers?

I hope they just had a lot to do on this episode to get the season started, and that the rest of the season proves to be more interesting.

Is it just me or is Meredith looking horrible?

I'd love to see Kevin McKidd in more episodes as well - although his IMBd profile only shows the one so far!

I knew he looked REALLY familiar - he was in "Made of Honor" with Patrick Dempsey - he played Collin McMurray - I loved his accent - I guess to play an American solider he had to lose the accent. After filming a movie together - maybe Patrick suggested him for the role.

It was an okay show - I was glad that I taped it and could FF through the commercials!

I think the Chief's speech - and yelling at Mer - will help the show turn more towards medicine. If not, they definitely need some new blood on the show (and no Christina's interns don't count!) - there are only so many times that they can each sleep with each other - they have already overlapped quite a few times!

Am I the only one who just doesn't understand why everyone is like "Oh, George!"

First Mer though, "Why not?"... then we had Calli who was just all about George... and then Izzy just had to ruin his marriage because she wanted him sooo badly... and now Lexie? Seriously?
I just don't get it.

I hated the beginning. I was on the phone and only half listening and I was screaming at the TV I was so mad Derek was "dead"

I love Bailey's hair, though!

She's looked awful since last season. She's not aging well at all.

I was disapointed in last nights show too...All of the sneak previews were fake out's...derek being dead...rose being pregnant.

I am over derek and meredith...in real life what man would actually still be with her??

I did like the storyline of the victims though...

Yea, this show sucked, all of sudden the Dr.s became STUPID in the past 5 months! What a boring mess it was...

I liked the victims' story line also. I also loved the flash forward of an old Mer and Christina, I thought that was funny! But the rest was just ok.

I was pretty disappointed too. All I kept hearing was, it's going to be fresh and back to the way seasons 1 and 2 were. I didn't see much of that last night except for the lives of the patients in the storyline. Hopefully things will pick up speed in two weeks!

I loved seeing the old Christina and Meredith. They cracked me up.

I know its a tv show, but I hate when things are so out there that it just wouldn't happen. Thats all.

I saw on the Entertainment Weekly site that they are getting rid of Dr. Erica Hahn. I guess her and Calli are going to break up and she will be written off the show somehow.
